I've traveled to St Barts on several occasions and simply love the beach at Gouveneur. I don't think it can be beat anywhere in the world. So, I came across this villa and its great reviews. But, the experience far exceeded my expectations. The owners, Sue and Dave, are delightful and very responsive. But, the villa far exceeded our expectations. The views of St Kitts and Saba are breathtaking. And the layout of the villa was perfect for us. We found ourselves cooking in the gourmet kitchen most nights as we simply loved the openess and calmness of our evenings. Plus, watchign the sunsets each night was unforgettable. Finally, it is the place that we chose to get engaged. A very romantic and luxurious villa that never let's you forget that you are in a very special place...

We spent few days in Sue and Dave property, and that was wonderful days. We used to leave in St Barth for 5 years, (so we know what is a "special place" in St Barth....) and we were there, in the property, for our wedding diner with few people, and the following days for enjoying and having some rest (and fun!) in the house. It is a perfect place to relax and to spend sweet time. To simply enjoying life. Sue and Dave, the owners are exceptionnal people. We hope they know what they did for us by renting us the house.....Don't hesitate to contact them. Caroline and Cyril - Happy married people

Gardens in Gouverneur Review

We have stayed in this villa for a week each of the last four years and over the years have vacationed on St Barths at least a dozen times. Gardens in Gouverneur is by far the best villa we have had the privilege to rent and we hope to return in coming years. The photos in the listing are very representative, but they cannot adequately describe the wonderful ambiance of the home in its natural setting which is absolutely beautiful. This is a very high quality villa, complete with elegant and comfortable furnishings and a chef's kitchen that is a joy to cook in. It sleeps 6 and would also be an ideal rental for two couples, with separated and private bedrooms at the opposite ends of the villa. The location on St. Barths could hardly be better, with excellent access to Gouverneur's and Saline beaches, along with shops and restaurants in Gustavia. The villa is spotlessly clean, with daily maid service and in fact the maid has been a real help to us with various logistical items which we have encountered. We would recommend Gardens in Gouverneur to any discriminating vacationer to St. Barths without any reservation whatsoever.

Paradise. We have visited twice and are planning a trip for 2009. The villa is comfortable and beautifully decorated. Close to the beach and shopping yet away from it all. A vacation you will never forget.
