Cozy and comfortable custom built family home on the 12th fairway of the Meadows course. We rented this home every summer from 1992 - 1997 and purchased and redecorated it in 2002. Here's what we enjoy about 8 Salishan Lane...
In the summer, we like the short walk across the fairway to the Sunriver Coffee Co. in the Village Mall. When we're feeling more ambitious, a brisk 30 minute walk (that's the long way...only 10 minutes the short way!)to enjoy breakfast at the Sunriver Lodge.
When the kids were young they loved the long bike rides that would end at Goodies, the ice cream and candy shop in the mall, after a great day at the pool. They also enjoyed cleaning the fish they caught in the river by the Trout House on the back deck. No summer day would be complete without tip-toeing onto the golf course to perfect their swing or attempt to sink the longest putt in the last light of the evening.
In winter, we love the short 30 minute drive to Mt. Bachelor for boarding and skiing and sitting by the fire watching the snow fall. We love the way the Resort lights up the trees and the lodge and all the holiday festivities we can partake in.
No matter what time of year, we enjoy cooking meals in the kitchen or on the BBQ and gathering family and friends around the dining table to reminisce about days gone by and share our hopes and dreams for days to come.
From these gatherings there is sure to be a lot of laughter, maybe a tear or two and quite probably a late night game of poker or guys against gals in one of the many board games under the coffee table in the family room.

Why the Owner Chose Sunriver
We first came here with friends when Cheryl was pregnant with Ryan, our oldest. That was 1985. Since then we've managed to get to Sunriver at least once a year. When this particular home came on the market in 2002 it was a no-brainer. We had vacationed in this home for 1 - 2 weeks a year for six years in a row with our best friends, the Browns. If you stay with us you'll see some of the old pics from when the kids were little. Loved the fun times then...love the memories now.
The Unique Benefits of this Home
What we liked about our home when we vacationed in it then, we continue to enjoy now. The location is terrific for being close to all Sunriver has to offer. A quick walk across the 12th fairway, through the Wildflower condo's, across Abbott Drive and you're in the mall. Pizza, donut shop, grocery store, etc., it's all there. A 10 minute walk and you're at the lodge enjoying breakfast in the Meadows dining room. Want to work harder for your breakfast?...pick up the path at the end of the cul-de-sac and head for the airport then left to the lodge. 30 minutes of a beautiful walk later...you're there. And remember...if you just want to relax on the back deck and watch the golfers go by...you're in the ideal location! Warm summer sun on the deck in the cool of the morning...welcome shade in the heat of the afternoon.
