Rogue Wave is a privately owned house located on the corner of 100 West Summer Place and 6204 Ocean Drive in the center of Emerald Isle. Our neighborhood is called "Summer Place" and offers quiet seclusion and a relaxed atmosphere.
Our semi private beach access, for Summer Place residents and guests, is directly across the street.
We offer four beautifully decorated bedrooms and three full baths. All bedrooms are located on the bottom floor.
The Master Bedroom has a queen size bed and TV, and a private bath. Direct entry to the bottom deck, provides the perfect setting to enjoy the views on the hanging swing.
The Second Front Guest Bedroom also has a queen size bed and direct entry to the the bottom deck.
Across the hall from the Second Front Bedroom, with a backyard view, the Third Bedroom has twin beds and a very quiet and sedate corner.
Across the hall from the Master Bedroom, with a backyard view, is the Fourth Bedroom we call the "Bunk Room". There are two bunk beds with a double mattress on the bottom and single mattress on the top on each bunk bed. There is also room for a crib in the "Bunk Room".
The three bedroom guests share a double sink and bathtub/shower bathroom on the second floor. Additionally, there is a full bathroom located on the top floor.
The large capacity washer and drying are conveniently located on the bottom floor between the two front bedrooms.
The immaculate house is a reverse floor plan with living areas on the top floor and bedrooms on the bottom floor.
The expansive great room is a gathering place filled with comfortable furnishings and features a large plasma TV,
The open kitchen is fully equipped including a large microwave and oven including convection cooking. The large capacity refrigerator has two ice makers. A complete set of cookware and utensils makes for the preparation of all your favorite beach meals easy. Those meals can be enjoyed in the spacious dining room watching your shows on TV or on the picnic table on the deck.
The outside shower with hot and cold water is very popular in the summer. There is an additional refrigerator next to the outside shower to grab a cold beverage for when you come off the beach or preparing a barbeque dinner! A concrete carport under the house will keep your automobiles cool when they are not in use.
Each floor has it's own deck to appreciate the ocean views and breeze. You will love the large decks for reading, having your meals, etc. as you look at the ocean.
Rocking chairs on the top deck and a hanging swing on the second deck provide for quiet and relaxing sunrise and sunset views .
Emerald Isle, conveniently located on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, is situated in a quaint family-friendly oceanfront community know for its laid-back pace. Famous for numerous beaches and water activities, from kayaking, to deep sea diving and fishing, there are so many things to explore in Emerald Isle. Amazing reefs and large number of shipwrecks that line our shores, making the deep sea fishing some of the best in the world.
Our white and sandy beaches with blue-green water are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun and surf. Multiple turtle hatchings are sighted every year on the island.
Excellent surf fishing right across from Rogue Wave. A public marina is less than 10 minutes away. Our new public boat launching facility is just about one mile away!
Emerald Isle is about an hour's drive from Ellis Airport in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
Many guest return year after year for the prime location on Emerald Isle. This is the best home choice to kick-back and enjoy life ----rejuvenate!
This is a vacation home our family and friends have used and loved for years and is kept in immaculate condition. You will find many personal touches in the house that are not normally in rental houses.

Why the Owner Chose Emerald Isle
We love the Crystal Coast for the beautiful beaches, amazing hues of the Atlantic Ocean and the family-oriented atmosphere.
The many recreational opportunities that are available is perfect for us.
Emerald Isle is easily accessible by land, air, or even by sea! We're less than two hours from North Carolina's Interstate 40, Jacksonville's Ellis Airport is 45 miles away and the Cedar Island Ferry is less than an hour away.
Emerald Isle is one of the few beach resorts that does not have oceanfront hotels. Our permanent residents and town leaders are protective of our natural resources and keep our community clean and very organized. A quaint family-oriented oceanfront community, it's known for its laid-back pace. We have one long stretch of vacation paradise to enjoy year round.
Turtle hatching area are right across the street from us. The volunteers and visitors are so dedicated in protecting their enviornments.
Bogue Banks Inlet, Intercoastal Waterway, Shackleford Banks, Cape Lookout National Seashore, The Core Sound, NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shore, Fort Macon State Park, and the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
These are a few of the reasons we choose to buy a vacation home on the wonderful Crystal Coast. We love everything our area has to offer!
The Unique Benefits at this House
Rogue Wave is located on a quiet dead end street and very safe for children. The neighborhood is known as Summer Place. Great ocean and beach views. Semi private beach access is for Summer Place residents only and is right across from the house. We enjoy the peacefulness of the neighborhood. Rogue Wave is a reversed floor plan with the great area and open kitchen on the top floor. The great area is very open and airy. It's a wonderful house for entertaining family and friends. It's so convenient to shop for fresh seafood right up the street. The beaches are never over crowded. The visitors and residents alike are there to enjoy the ambiance of the natural resources . Just imagine yourself waking up to glorious sunrises, with the smell of the fresh sea breeze filling your lungs, and the summer sun warming the air around you. During the cooler months, our decks are great for reading books or just gazing at the ocean.
Again, Rogue Wave's location at Summer Place gives us a sense of peace and calm. Our neighbors include rental home owners like us as well as permanent residents. The permanent residents love to entertain the home owners and visitors and to Summer Place. Their gracious hospitality is always welcomed by all.

My husband Barry and I are from North Carolina and have been living in Singapore for over ten years. Barry selected the name Rogue Wave for the house. I think its a wonderful name for a beach house! Rogue Wave is the third property Barry and I have owned on the Crystal Coast. Emerald Isle is all about relaxing and winding down. We usually come home to Rogue Wave from mid April - May and in the fall from mid September - October. Rogue Wave is very special. It has two addresses because it's a corner house. 100 West Summer Place and 6204 Ocean Drive. We love the location of Rogue Wave, with the quiet street, the constant sound of the ocean, beautiful ocean & beach views. Easy access to the beach is just across from the house. We really enjoy the bike paths. The bicycle rental shop is in the town center. We usually bike to the main center to shop at Food Lion or select gifts for friends at one of the unique shops. Of course I try to bike there on my own to shop for great clothing our boutiques offer!
Walking the beach at different times of year is great for shell collecting. Barry and I are both golfers and there are plenty of courses available.
We also enjoy deep sea fishing, which is very popular on the Crystal Coast. There are many charter boat companies at the nearby marina or in Morehead City. Kayak, jet ski, and small boat rentals are also available near by.

We had such a great time at Rogue Wave and particularly enjoyed the large 'family' room where we spent most of our time. Plenty of room for all of us. The bedrooms are pretty and comfortable. The house is located close enough to town to walk if you like but far enough from town to feel nicely secluded. We'll definitely return to Rogue Wave.
