Floor to ceiling windows give a panoramic southerly view over Tonquin Beach, Leonard Island lighthouse and a private sandy pocket beach. Westerly views look over the deep water entrance to Tofino harbour. Enjoy the melody of lapping ocean waves during summer, or watch a raging winter storm over the open Pacific during the winter months.
Our 1650 square foot private main floor suite includes a fully equipped kitchen, three beautifully appointed bedrooms, two bathrooms, one with tub and heated tile floor, and one with shower, a very comfortable great room with wood burning fireplace, 12 foot ceilings, dining area, cable TV and wireless internet. All windows have views of the ocean and beach.
The secluded sandy beach, about 25 steps from the entrance is perfect for an evening summer campfire and sunset. You can cast for salmon off the headland just moments from your door. With expertise, you can launch your kayak from the beach, during the summer months. In March and April with the return of the gray whales, you can whale watch from the beach. Beachcombing and walking is easily accessible from the Tonquin Beach trail at the top of the driveway.
This property is ideal for families, who want to relax in a private beachfront setting with all the amenities of home. Sorry no pets.

We have lived in this house for 20 years, and raised our kids in this location.
Why the Owner Chose Tofino
We lived here full-time when our kids were young,because my husband works at the hospital, and before the days of cell-phones it was handy being only 1km. away. It is an ideal location, being 1km.from town,on a sandy municipal beach park, with only 4 houses bordering the park. There is also a divine, private, west-facing sandy beach on the property perfect for summer fishing, campfires, sunset watching, and wildlife viewing.
The Unique Benefits of this Private Suite
You can walk to town for supper after spending the day at the beach! The property is 1.3 acres of beach/oceanfront, with peaceful views of ocean and forest from all rooms. We are family friendly, with trampoline available in the backyard.
