Very large "family fun house" with spacious porches overlooking the large, private pool and decks. The attic kid's room is incredible and even has Gulf and Lake views! While inside, enjoy your favorite movies on the 42" flat screen TV in the living room and check your email on the computer with internet access. This house is one of the closest in Watercolor to the beach and the beach club pool.
There are 6 bedrooms and 6.5 baths: Master Bedroom with King bed and private bath, 2nd Master Bedroom with King Bed and private bath, 1 Queen with private bath, 1 Queen with private bath, 1 Bunk with trundle, Kid's Attic has 2 Twin and a Full Bed.
On the 1st floor there are 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, the Den, a fabulous front porch and a back deck that leads to the private heated swimming pool with an outside .5 bath. On the 2nd floor is the Master Bedroom, 2 bathrooms, Kitchen, Dining and Living Room and a back deck that overlooks the pool. The 3rd floor is the Kid's attic (gameroom), there are 2 twin beds, a full size bed, a foosball table and an air hockey table. There is also a PS3 gaming system.
Watercolor is one of two planned communities located along scenic Highway 30-A along Florida’s north Gulf coast. There are several unique features to Watercolor, including Western Lake, a rare, 220-acre coastal dune lake that is bordered by coastal pine forests. There are three restaurants located on the lake, as well as canoe and kayak rentals and sailing excursions, a boathouse, and a large outdoor amphitheater for concerts and festivals. Cerulean Park links the lake to the Gulf, and is one of Watercolor’s central gathering places. An extensive woodland trail system for hiking and biking meanders through the community of Watercolor, and nearby state parks offer different perspectives of the coastal dune lakes, sand pine scrub, longleaf pine flatwoods, cypress ponds and wetlands.
The Town Center in Watercolor has a collection of retail shops and markets. The neighboring towns of the “Beaches of South Walton,” hold special events throughout the year, such as jazz concerts, beach parties and art shows. The town of Seaside holds a Red Wine Festival in the winter, and DeFuniak Springs’ “Christmas Tour of Homes,” is well worth the trip.

We just returned from a four-night stay at this lovely Watercolor home. It was a family reunion event with varying ages and we all felt that the home was a perfect blend of features that would appeal to all. Everyone was in agreement that the location of this home is the best feature of all, though, as it was so convenient to the beach, to the main pool and shopping areas, and near the Town Center. We had a few issues that were quickly resolved by the repairman and the local contact stayed in constant communication with me to assure that everything was to our liking. We'd love to vacation here again!

We have stayed at this property numerous times throughout the years. It very easily accommodates the three families and my family, which frequently travel together. The older kids love the spatious loft on the third level. Each of the 4 adult couples have plenty of room in the bedrooms they are staying in and the younger children share the bunk room downstairs. The home is beautifully decorated and we love the fact that it has it's own private pool. We have never had a problem with the home not being clean upon our arrival and have never had any problems with any of the appliances. The kitchen has had everything we needed in order to make all of our meals - for a total of 14 people! The house is very conviently located to the beach and to Watercolor and Seaside shopping.

We have stayed at this house each summer for 5 years. We have stayed with friends and family. The house is in a great location , close to the beach and the nature trail. The pool is perfect to cool off in after a run around watercolor and seaside. The kitchen and living areas are open and lend them selves to gathering and big family dinners. The porches provide a quiet shady place to enjoy the scenery.

This house was once in great shape....but no longer. We arrived at 3:30 on the saturday of our rental time and it had not been cleaned. I had to track down the cleaning crew for the realtor was not available and not even in the area. We were not able to move in till 8:00 that night with our three grandchildren under the age of 3, who had to be fed and put to bed three hours behind schedule. The house is in terrible condition. It is not equipped to handled large groups that will fill the 6 bedrooms...like a a beat up old 2 slice toaster, a microwave in lower cabinet that is not properly installed and leans out, back door locks that do not work and allow a child to walk out to the pool, many ceiling lights out, draperies hanging. The only value to this house is its pool and walking proximity to the beach and that is it. We were very disappointed and certainly did not feel we got our money's worth.
Owner response:I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay. In response, the cleaners made an error with their schedules, we got them out there as soon as possible and we also refunded a portion of your first night's stay. The back doors do lock and the reason they are difficult is so that the small children are unable to unlock them to be able to access the pool area. The microwave was just replaced and the trim had to be replaced to fit the new microwave - it wobbled, but not at anytime was it at risk to fall out. The draperies were off the hook when you first arrived - but we got them back on there - it's when the guests pull on them too hard that they come off the hooks. We take great pride in our vacation home and try to provide the guests with a comfortable stay and unfortunately with any high usage residence you may encounter situations that are sometimes out of our control. We always remedy any issues with the highest priority.

The location of the Family Fun house cannot be beat - across the street from the popular Beach Club pool and bike path on 30-A. The house was exactly as described in the listing and photos, and in excellent condition. Having the (heated) pool was great for lounging during the day and a late-night dip after the evening's activities. The caretaker was immediately available for anything we needed and very responsive. All kitchen appliances in good shape - only drawback is that the refrigerator ice maker was extremely slow and there is not another ice maker, and there is very limited pantry space for food storage. There are plenty of collapsible chairs stored in the garage to take to the beach; property has 3 bikes in fair condition but there are many bike rental companies in area. Close to Publix and restaurants and bars - great walking/biking area and trails. We had four families in the house and had plenty of public space available - could seat 16 people for meals at table and kitchen counters. We would definitely rent here again with a crowd!
