Four bedroom home sleeps 8 maximum. 2.5 bathrooms. 3,500 sq ft. Ranch style one story with one bedroom located upstairs. This home is located in Hood River, directly on the bluff overlooking the Columbia River Gorge.
The home is nestled in the trees, on a private 2+ acre parcel of wooded wetland. There are beautiful Asian gardens and evergreens surrounding the home. There are 100% unobstructed views of the Columbia River and Mt. Adams. All 4 bedrooms have river views. The home runs East/West with pure North views. The large family kitchen is perfect for preparing meals and hosting the whole family. The breakfast bar seats 4 and there is a high cafe table that seats 2. The large walk in pantry nicely stores all of your groceries etc. The adjacent dining room seats up to 8. The huge living room will host the entire family and boasts of beautiful views from three sides. The 52 inch flat screen has a DVD player and stereo. The Marble fireplace is gas. This room lets everyone do their own thing, yet be together. There is a table for playing games, a swivel chair for watching the river and 82 DVD's for watching movies on the large sectional. The master bedroom has a King size bed that faces the river, has a table and chairs for sitting and viewing the river through the 7 ft glass sliding doors, two walk-in closets, large TV/DVD, and private bathroom with separate shower and sunken tub. The second bedroom has river views, two closets and Queen bed. The third bedroom has patio access, river views, gas fireplace, wall mounted flat screen TV, private half bath and a Queen bed. The fourth bedroom is located up a private staircase. (This stair case is not suitable for young children with out parental supervision.) The bedroom has birds eye views of the river and Mt. Adams. There is a Queen bed, TV/DVD and table and chairs. The laundry room is equipped with iron and built in board, utility sink and washer/dryer. There is a retractable 3 line clothes line in the back yard for drying your wetsuits etc. The oversized two car garage is connected to the home, has a door to the back yard with river view, has hooks for drying gear and is secure for storing equipment. The home has ample storage for those of you that plan to stay for a while. The private driveway opens up to a large parking area for easy car parking or for kids to play on tricycles and scooters and there is a basketball hoop. There are fruit trees for your pleasure, and strawberries, please share with the next guests.
Warning! The back yard is high up on the bluff with a very far drop off to the bottom! Please supervise children at all times. There is a buffer zone of think Ivy groundcover beyond the grass yard area and a low fence, but it is not kid proof. so please never take your eyes off of the children. Keep an eye out for wildlife walking in the yard and please be respectful! Please stay inside the manicured gardens and do not disturb the woods. It is possible that there is poison oak and there are some wetlands. The woods are not suitable for children. Please supervise children at all times in the yard.
There are train tracks down below at the rivers' edge. You will be able to hear the train pass at times. The interstate is located South of the house and at times you will be able to hear trucks brake. Please determine if this will work for you before you arrive. There are no refunds if you change your mind about the sound.

- Deck/Patio: One large furnished patio is located outside of the living room and one smaller patio is located outside of the master bedroom. There is also a small wood deck in the back yard overlooking the river.
- View/Location
- Water View: The home is located directly over the water on the top of a Bluff. You can not get to the water from the home, but you have an unobstructed bird's eye view.
- Mountain View: Mt. Adams view from upstairs bedroom
- Communications
- WiFi (Wireless Internet): There is no lock, just click on Westcliff.
- Other Amenities
- iPod docking station.Three line clothes line for drying wetsuits. Dyson Allergy Vacuum. Fresh Strawberry patch and Three fruit trees for your picking pleasure.
- Suitability
- No Pets Allowed: This home does not allow pets under any circumstances, sorry. Please do not try to sneak your pet over. The rental agreement you sign states that there is a $500 charge for total house cleaning and fumigation if pets are found on the property.
- Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations): There is a ramp into the house from the garage. The large portion of the home is one story. The living room steps down two steps. The showers have one step.
- Wheelchair Accessible (may have limitations): There is a ramp into the home from the garage and the hall and kitchen are wide for wheelchair access. The showers are not wheelchair accessible. But the master shower is large enough for you to bring your own shower chair.
- Kid Friendly: Kids are always welcome, but the home is located on a bluff. Constant supervision of your children is your responsibility. Do not let your children run freely on the property. It is very dangerous! The inside of the home has a highchair and kids books and videos and kids dishes.
- Smoking Not Allowed: There is a $500 fine if you are caught smoking on the property. This is a non smoking property. Do not smoke anywhere on the property!

Why the Owner Chose Hood River
We purchased this home, because we love the location or the Columbia River with private acreage and nice walk into town. The house has a large family room good for hosting our family gatherings.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy watching the kiteborders/windsurfers from the patio and bird watching from the master bedroom in the mornings. The back yard is private and relaxing for just watching the river or great for our family gatherings. With town so close we like walking to the grocery store and the skate park.
Very cool free skate park for all ages. Also has climbing wall, bike area and picnic area
