Welcome to Fernhaven, your country style guest cottage!
Soak in the hot tub under the starry skies, build a camp fire in the nearby woods (there is a fire pit) and roast your own s'mores. 0r light up the barbecue and relax on the patio - Fernhaven Guest Cottage is a perfect vacation get-away! It is located on five peaceful acres, an easy 20 minutes drive west of Port Angeles, Washington State. The cozy one room cottage accommodates one or two persons. This pleasant country “mini-farm” setting in the woods is a haven, offering a welcomed respite from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Take a stroll around the farm and say hello to the animals. Vincent the billy goat, Max, the sheep, Rug, the dog, H, the cat, and last but not least a friendly flock of chickens (fresh farm eggs!), all look forward to meeting you! Enjoy your vacation in this beautiful area. The Olympic National Park and the beaches are nearby. A seven minutes drive takes you to Salt Creek and Crescent beaches, both very popular with surfers and kayakers.
Cooking facilities: A microwave oven, a coffeepot and a two burner gas stove under the porch. The bed accommodates one or two persons and can easily be converted to a sofa during the day, fresh linens are provided. Your private bathroom and shower is a few steps away in the main log house. The drive to Fernhaven Guest Cottage takes you along beautiful Strait of Juan de Fuca Scenic Byway (Highway 112).

I stayed at Fernhaven in the fall of 2010 while working on my novel. The setting is relaxed, quiet and private, despite it's closeness to the homeowner. Christine was welcoming and so kind -- she was just a joy to speak with. I'm looking forward to a return trip -- for longer!
