Location: Westminster, London, England, United Kingdom, Europe (Little Venice, Maida Vale, London W9 1DP)
Accommodations: Apartment, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 5-7)
The Garden Flat offers visitors to London the opportunity to experience a truly unique location in one of the capital’s best kept secrets…Crescent Garden: a three acre private communal garden, not accessible from the street with fine great high-crowned plane trees marching round the edges and dark old rope-edge tiles bordering the wide perimeter walk. No surprise then that Crescent Garden was recently voted “London’s Best Private Garden”
Located on the white stuccoed Randolph Crescent, the apartment offers direct access to one of London’s largest private and, arguably, best communal gardens. Crescent Garden was originally built in 1865 as the Bishop of London’s Duck Ponds. As well as being multi award winning, this space is accessible only to residents who gather there for a wonderful communal bonfire (November 5) and erect a huge Christmas tree to celebrate the festive period. Overall, the garden offers unparalleled beauty and tranquility in this central London location.
The apartment is centrally located in the exclusive enclave of “Little Venice” – so called because of the canal (still operating) that runs through the neighborhood. Transport connections are excellent, Warwick Avenue tube station is a 3-4 minute walk. The journey time from there to Theatre Land, Oxford Street or Knightsbridge is less than 10 minutes. The “Heathrow Express”, the fastest link (15 minutes) from London’s main airport terminates at Paddington, which is a 5 minute tube or taxi ride away from the Garden Flat. The National Gallery and many of London's finest museums and galleries are just a short bus ride away. Regents Park and the London Zoo are within walking distance.
In addition to the advantages of the communal garden, the Garden Flat offers flexible accommodation for parties of up to seven people. The Master Bedroom is light and spacious with a 180cm continental size bed. Next door is a full bathroom with tub, integrated power shower and WC. Washing and drying machines are also available adjacent to this area to enable guests to keep on top of their laundry.
Next an intercommunication suite of:
Second bedroom -light and airy, with double doors opening onto the private patio - with a standard double bed and ample storage space plus
Third bedroom - with window onto the Garden which has a full 3' single bed - disguised as a sofa for daytime use
plus A limestone “wet room” with power shower, basin and WC.
The living-room provides direct access to the communal garden via a private patio – the perfect place to enjoy an evening drink or even a barbecue in the summer months. A fully equipped open plan kitchen and dining area, flat screen TV, wireless broadband internet making this the perfect room for your party to gather together after a long day of sight-seeing. In addition the cozy sofa in this area can be made into a double bed, providing yet more sleeping options in this versatile unit.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you so much for making our stay in your flat so agreeable. You have provided a lovely place to stay. It is very well appointed and equipped and you have provided lots of helpful books, instructions and even a pay as you go cell phone! Of course the location and the lovely patio and access to the beautiful garden made it just perfect. Our grandson especially enjoyed the playground. I hope that we will be able to return again soon with our other son and grandson. I can't think of a better place to stay. Thank-you once again,

A wonderful stay We stayed in this lovely apartment with our family of 7. It couldn't have been nicer. We found the area to be very safe as well as charming; the accommodations to be every bit as nice as described. The apartment was clean, welcoming and offered all the comforts of home. The garden area was very nice, and as we were there in early spring, we can only imagine how beautiful it is in the summer. The tube station was conveniently close, and the area offered places to eat, and pick up necessities. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone, a great place to call home while visiting London. This apartment was perfect! And the proprietress friendly, on-hand, and accomodating. Seven of us slept comfortably in the three bedrooms, leaving the living area free for "common" space. The rooms were attractive, the kitchen vey well equipped, the private patio and communal garden an enticement to return in a warmer season. Located in a very nice residential neighborhood, all was within convenient reach: groceries, buses, underground, and pleasant local walks. All so close to the city!

The Garden Apartment Is A London Gem! My wife and I stayed at the Garden Apartment the first week in January 2009 and were delighted with this roomy, well-equipped apartment. We've made numerous trips to London in the past and always found ourselves most comfortable in an apartment versus a hotel. The Garden Apartment was without a doubt the best find yet for us and we consider it a true "London gem". The apartment's proximity to public transportation worked well for our sightseeing adventures, but it was always a welcome treat to return to our quiet home-from-home. Close by are all the shops you should need for your necessities and there is even a dry cleaners there too. Additionally, Rob is a pleasure to deal with and extremely helpful in accomodating your requests, both before and during your stay. A perfect place to enjoy London We greatly enjoyed our family holidays in the garden flat. The space, the garden view and the quality of the equipment are remarkable. The flat is very clean and well-maintained. Access to the tourist spots is done with tube or bus. The victorian-style neighborhood is pleasant and quiet. A mini-market, cafés and shops are located nearby. We had a fabulous time. Thank you for your generosity, guidance, and interest. We were all surprised at your attention to detail—thank you. The guide books were helpful. The towels, kitchen appointments, etc were quite lovely. The girls certainly appreciated the wi-fi accessability. I think everything was delightful. We’d not hesitate to recommend you as a landlord or the flat. Happy New Year—and thank you again

We enjoyed our time in London and enjoyed our stay at the Garden Apartment. Your location was very good for us - it is close to the bus and tube - a very nice neighborhood and not far from many of the attractions that we visited. You have done so many things very nicely: • The guide books that you had were very nice • The wireless internet was great for checking websites of attractions as well as emailing home • It was a nice surprise to have the few groceries that you provided to get us started You were a very gracious hostess.
