The Mangy Moose Chalet at Bryce is a single family 2800 Sq/Ft home with two levels on 3 acres of wooded mountain land. It has easy access to Bryce Mountain's 4 season resort and parking for plenty of vehicles. In case of deep snow the neighborhood is plowed promptly to get you off to the resort. It is located in Shenandoah Ski and Hunt Estates which is a private neighborhood. There is also a two car garage in a separate building 25 feet from the main house.
The house has 4 bedrooms with a large sunroom, a kids playroom with video hookup and several couches and an extra kids room with 2 twin beds. The interior of the home is cedar with a granite first floor making this home truly a beautiful place to be. This is a large house suitable for family gatherings, ski trips or cozy getaways for some quiet time.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed and loads of closet space, the upstairs guest room has 2 twin beds, the downstairs master bedroom has a king bed and there are two additional rooms downstairs that both have 2 twin beds. We cannot specify one of the downstairs rooms as a "bedroom" because it does not have a closet. Any of the twin beds can be pushed together to make one large bed if that is preferred. We also have a queen sized pull out mattress that can be setup just about anywhere. In addition to the bedrooms on the lower level is a "cubby" bed and a large plush couch for kids to sleep on. All linens are provided and there are lots of pillows and extra blankets to use wherever you wish.
The house is well equipped with all necessary kitchen items, paper products, trash bags and the like. The general store is only a few miles away and 7-11 and a grocery store are 15 minutes away. Super Wal Mart is 30 minutes away.
For the die hard skier you can travel a few minutes to Bryce Resort, an hour to Massanutten Resort or 3.5 hours to Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia. Bryce also has tubing, a zip line, lake and pool access and a host of other winter and summer activities. Bryce also has a Par 71, 18 Hole championship golf course with full service rentals for just about all sports.

We strive to continually upgrade the house and make sure that your stay is fun and comfortable. Currently we have satellite TV with 150 channels including all the local DC channels hooked up to a DVD/CD/MP3 high power surround sound system with an Ipod connection. Most cellular devices work here and Verizon's Air Cards work too in your laptop. Also provided is local telephone service and DSL internet service. The DSL service is hooked up to a wireless router with B/G/N speeds. There is a game ready TV with a DVD player on the lower level for the kids to "make some noise" and have a good time. There is also a stereo system in the sun room. We also have a local maintenance person who lives 50 yards away to deal with any situations that come up during your stay with us.

This property is the definition of a "Ski Chalet" in the mountains and is one of the nicest homes in the area of it's size. We welome you to give us a visit - we guarantee you will want to come back. Most of our rentals have stayed with us before and recommend this "chalet" highly.
Our goal with this property is to provide a safe, fun and relaxing environment for your enjoyment. We use the house frequently ourselves as our vacation spot and continually upgrade the property.
