Balboa Island is an absolute jewel in the middle of Newport Bay. There is a 2 mile walkway around the perimeter and a charming 2 block main street with unique shops and fine and casual dining. My cottage is very inviting. Features a courtyard with outdoor fireplace. It is one bedroom with two bathrooms and a separate sleeping area off of the living room. Perfect for two or a small family. It is possible to sleep one additional person on the twin bed size couch. Centrally located between Los Angeles and San Diego. Great for day trips.
The neighborhood is very relaxed. This is a popular destination so there is a fair amount of activity which makes the courtyard a welcome retreat. My home is one street away from the main street. It is so very quaint! There is a big mixture of old beach houses and new upscale construction. It is a very wealthy area with down-to-earth residents.
