My house is located next to one of Rome's 7 hills that keeps the memories of ancient Rome. In Via dei fienili 60, the Coliseum area close to the Roman Forum, in the heart of the historical centre of Rome, at the first floor of a XVI century building. The caracteristic ceiling of wood-beams and the welcoming atmosphere of the house make it a romantic place for an original and peaceful holiday.
In my district you will find typical italian restaurants, pizzerias, shops and restaurants that serving typical roman food. There are also cinemas, theatres and gardens all around. Just beside my house, there is a provided drug store to the left of principal entry of the house.
Home is very confortable for up to 7 guests and is endowed by a master bedroom with a kingsize bed and a single bed with a big satellite plasma TV, a second bedroom with one single bed and a bunk bed also with satellite TV, the living room with 2 sofa beds (two individual bedroom) with a TV only for DVD, stereo, Internet ADSL illimited all inclusive in the price. There is a kitchen full equipped (microwave oven, 4 gas stove and fridge), a bathroom with a whirlpool shower. Air conditioning(3)and heating is provided. The arrangement allows dishes and pans, towels and sheets, mini ironing board and iron, camp beds for children, hair dryer, washing machine, moka for italian coffee and machine to make the American coffee, coffee, sugar, tea, oil, vinegar and spices for cooking.
If you wish to walk in big green open spaces, you will find in the "Circo Massimo" area or the "Giardino degli Aranci" or the "Roseto Comunale"(open in the may and june).
Rome is a great city and very well connected by public transportation.

CAR & PICK UP SERVICE:
Upon request the owner will wait for you at the airport for the trip to the house.
The cost will be 40 €.
Upon request for more than 5 people(in Italy max 4 people for car)is a pick up at a cost of 70 €.

If you do not want to use the car & pick up service, from Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" airport its possible to take the train (12 € for person for the ticket)to Termini station. From the Termini station you can take the bus number H and get off at bus stop Monte Savello or you can take a 175/170 and get off at bus stop Via Luigi Petroselli or you can take a taxi to my apartment for about 10/15 €. If you want to move with the bike, the city is offering its users a new "bicycle line" or you can take rent a bike.

  • My family and I had a great time at the Elvira house. It is very close to centre of everywhere so you can just about walk everywhere if you're up from it. The apartment is 5 mins walk from Santa Maria in Cosmedien AKA Bocca Del Verita ( this is the face from Roman Holiday where Hepburn puts her hand in the mouth) It's a great Church, well worth the visit and it's free! Also the apartment backs onto the Wedding Cake and Capitolini so these trip are minutes from your door and you're also minute from the Tiber River which is beautiful. It's all very good with a reasonable price, I would definitley go again, oh and I would also book Mr Enzo for the flight to and from the airport for a seemless journey! Thanks again!   • The house is located in a beautiful place, right in the center of Rome under the Roman Forum, we are a family with 3 children, we were really comfortable, the house is spacious, there is everything in the kitchen, the owner "Elvira "is a lovely lady, gave us all the information to move on foot in the city center, in the house have internet access which was useful to book tickets to visit the Vatican, under the apartment you find a mini market, where he worked for the nephew of "Elvira" is called "Lorenzo". This apartment recommend it to everyone in both the position and for the prices that are very affordable for a family. Thanks "Elvira", will return soon. Alexander and Daniella

  • The apartment is in a very nice location, near the Campidoglio and Roman Forum. It has a very good location for exploring the city on foot or by bus. The apartment is comfortable with air conditioning, satellite TV. It's a good place to accommodate a family of 6, but the only bathroom is to tight for moving around. Nevertheless we recommend this apartment for a good vacation in Rome.

  • "Nous avons eu un merveilleux séjour, l'appartement est très confortable avec tout le confort, situé dans le centre de Rome, dans un lieu à couper le souffle presque dans le Forum romain, l'accès Internet à domicile a facilité la réservation pour les musées du Vatican , l'oncle de Mme Elvira et sa fille sont fantastiques, ils nous ont donné toute l'information pour les restaurants, bars, supermarchés, l'hôpital est de 10 minutes, les pharmacies en 5 minutes, le bâtiment est très vieux (1600), le fantastique M. Enzo une personne très aimables qu'il traite avec le pick-up de l'aéroport à l'appartement, nous le recommandons à tous. Merci de revenir bientôt, et recommander à tous ceux qui veulent une maison dans le centre de Rome, ce bel appartement

  • Elvira's apartment was perfect for our family for our 4 day stay in Rome. The location is amazing - a short walk to many of the major attractions (and the bus is very close too). The rooms were clean, comfortable, quiet! (and the AC a blessing in the heat of a Roman summer!) and Elvira was extremely accommodating. As others have noted, there is a small grocer literally next door, a cafe and restaurant across the way, as well as a tabac. We will definitely stay again ... in fact we will be in a couple of weeks :-) Matt & Linda

  • The house is magnificent, very comfortable for a family of 6 persons, is situated in a beautiful place in the Center of Rome, in the house there are all the comforts, air conditioning, plasma TV, all the accessories of the kitchen to prepare good meals. In the apartment there is a good bar to have breakfast in the morning, just below the apartment you can find a small supermarket for shopping, where Lorenzo is the grandson of adoration hostess "Elvira", nice, kind you gave all the signs for a wonderful stay in his apartment. We recommend it to all those who truly want to stay in the Heart of Old Town. "is a beautiful house"

  • The apartment is in a wonderful location, just between the Campidoglio and the house of Romulus on the Palatine with views of both. It's perfectly situated for exploring and very comfortable with amenities ranging from air conditioning to satellite TV. Our son loved the bunkbeds!

  • We absolutely loved staying at Elvira's house. Elvira was a charming host, and was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the entire process (from the first e-mail I sent her until we got back home). The location is just perfect, you can walk to all the sites in the historic centre and the apartment is just outside the "car restricted" zone so if you have a car you can park near the apartment. The house was great, very clean with all the necessary amenities. Best of all it truly gave us a sense of what it's like to live as romans do... with the local grocery shop right downstairs, a bar for the morning "caffe e cornetto" right in front. For a special meal try the restaurant across the street (San Teodoro), it's expensive but the food was simply extraordinary. We look forward to staying here on our next trip to Rome.
