The lodge boasts a 1,500 sq ft great room with sweeping views to the mountains in the west and the river preserve to the north and south. Also on the property are two cabins, the original 1885 Homestead log cabin with two bedrooms and two baths as well as a full kitchen and wonderful porches with magnificent vistas. The Dollhouse is a one-room cabin with sleeping loft and full bath.
This property offers direct access to the Big Wood River and to miles of hiking trails. Sun Valley's River Run Ski Lift is 5 miles from the front door. A world renowned Tom Fazio gold course is located adjacent to the property.

GROUNDS
The buildings are surrounded by lush green lawns, a 100 yr old apple orchard, apricot trees and of course spruce, aspen and cottonwoods. The property overlooks the Hiawatha Canal and is a short ten minute walk through the meadows to the Big Wood River. Some of the best hidden fishing on the river is in this area due to the lack of access between Starweather and Zinc Spur.
Wildlife abounds on the property – deer and elk are common sites as are the great blue heron, geese, ducks, beavers and yes the occasional moose and bear. It's a wonderfully adventurous life here on The Homestead.
The property is perfect for large family gatherings, corporate retreats and weddings/parties.
