Walk up the stairs and step into the glass surrounded great room with the turquoise seas calling. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves against the beach. Watch the famous gulf sunsets from the sofa, or walk the 10 steps to the beach entrance. Look out at night at the lights on the famed East Ruskin Pavilion right outside the windows. Take a stroll to Bud and Alley’s for dinner or a drink or perhaps an ice-cream at Heavenly Shortcakes. After sunning on the beach, riding bikes, or being our guest at the private Seaside Swim and Tennis Club, curl up in one of our (2) master suites. Both feature king-size beds with plush linens to indulge. Luxurious L'Occitane En Provence bath amenities are provided.
The second floor master has a private bath and great ocean views along with a gulf side balcony. The other master is for the late sleeper and is located on the first floor with its private bath and screen porch access. A second living room and morning kitchen are located on the first floor along with a separate bunk room. Our home was recently re-furnished by Pizitz for that great Seaside feel.
There’s a large 46" LCD TV and DVD in the living room, a 32" LCD TV in the downstairs family room, along with LCD TV’s and DVD players in each bedroom. WIFI access is available throughout the cottage. Sony Stereo with iPod Dock in living room. 2 private off street parking spaces are provided.
This is the real deal for gulf viewing. You don’t have to hang over the balcony and stand on one leg to see the ocean. It’s right in plain sight and in full view from many vantage points. This was one of the original Anniversary Cottages at Seaside and overlooks the quaint Honeymoon Cottages that are in our front yard. Formerly known as “On and On”, our dream cottage is now ready to be shared with new friends. Merilee By-The-Sea is the cottage you dream for. The Unique Benefits at this House
Waking every morning and looking out at the gulf, just can't be beat. Walking to Bud & Alley's for a drink at sunset is priceless. During colder weather, stay inside and watch the sunset from our Great Room. This is the best location in Seaside. Park the car and walk to everything. Return to simpler times and enjoy the surrounding beauty and each other. There’s always something to do…or nothing at all.
Check out the new "V" in Seagrove. Miami Beach atmosphere comes to Seagrove. A short walk to great food and drinks, then take one of the "rickshaws" home to your door.
Best place to enjoy the sunset and a libation of choice. Look for Mo the bartender and guess the sunset time for a free drink.
V opened in Spring 2011 and brings Miami Beach style and great cuisine to Seagrove. A short walk to the restaurant and then get a ride home on the new "rickshaws" back to your door in Seaside.

We've traveled everywhere and found that our hearts were always drawn back to Seaside. From when Merilee first read about Seaside in 1983, until we finally visited for the first time in 1996, we were transformed. God answered our prayers and we were able to purchase our cottage in 2008. This is a treasure for all who come and it is our dream for our children, grandchildren and their children to enjoy the legacy of Seaside and Merilee By-The-Sea.

This is our 5th stay in Seaside and our first time to stay somewhere than our "usual" cottage. There are three of us - myself, my husband and our 9 year old son. In a nutshell, we have found our new favorite place in Seaside, Merilee by the Sea. Between the owner's treatment of us and the cottage itself, we are completely spoiled. The listing photos and virtual tour do not do justice to the property. Although one can see from the photos it is very nicely appointed, one has to see it to appreciate it. The interior design is in perfect harmony with the ambiance of Seaside, as well as being done beautifully and of outstanding quality. Merilee by the Sea is obviously well cared for - it is immaculate and extremely well maintained. The location itself is fantastic. The gulf is in full view from many areas and what a treat to sit on the patio outside the upstairs master. Again, full vantage point to see the beautiful water and listen to the waves. If that weren't enough, the cottage is mere steps to the beach walkover and a 2 minute walk into town. The owners have been nothing short of wonderful to deal with. Courteous, thoughtful, helpful and informative are adjectives that immediately come to mind. Suffice it to say, they have ruined us for working with anyone else! We can't say enough good things about Merilee by the Sea. Within a few days of our two week stay, we were requesting reservations for next year! We feel so blessed to be able to vacation at Merilee by the Sea; it's the best ever!

We just arrived back home (sadly) from an unbelievable week in Seaside and staying at Merilee-By-The-Sea. The house was far better than we expected and it fit us to a tee. We loved walking up the stairs for the first time and looking out over the wonderful beach to the blue-green gulf. The upstairs living room is an awesome place to sit and look out all of the floor to ceiling windows. We spent every morning in this room with a hot cup of coffee and smiles across our faces. The upstairs and downstairs were more than roomy enough for the five of us. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The house is so close to the center of Seaside and all of the activities, restaurants and shops. We walked each day to one of the restaurants or shops. We were also a short bike ride away from Watercolor or Seagrove. Seaside is one place where you can park your car and never get back in it until you are ready to leave. I could go on and on about are stay, but suffice it to say we will return next year to Seaside and Merliee-By-The-Sea. It just can't come soon enough.

Merilee by the Sea, is our favorite beach get away. The cottage decor is beautiful, the kitchen well appointed, and the views are wonderful. Our adult children have spent time with us at the cottage and the first floor was perfect for them, allowing them their own TV, bathroom and small kitchen. We love the town of Seaside and all it has to offer, and the cottage is just a few steps away from the town square. Once we arrive we rarely use our car, as everything you need is in walking distance. You will not find a more beautiful beach, with crystal clear water, and white sand, with beach access right out your door. Don't forget the eat at Crush, which is our favorite, have grits Ya Ya at The Great Southern and of course try to guess the time of the sunset at Bud and Alleys.

From the moment we arrived, it felt like heaven. Merilee By-The-Sea was even better than described. Our family had the best time with only a few steps to the beach and an easy stroll into town. Waking up to the ocean views from the upstairs MBR was really a treat. Can't wait to return. We're spoiled now.
