Location: Killiney, County Dublin, Ireland, Europe (10 Miles South Along the Coast from Dublin City Centre) View Map
Accommodations: Condo, 2 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 2 Baths (Sleeps 4-5)
Keywords: Condominium
With a wonderful view of Killiney Bay, the 1500 sq. ft.(140 sq. m.) apartment has been built to the very highest specification. From the wide balcony to the built in wine cooler, from the large comfortable bed rooms to the state-of-the-art kitchen, this apartment will be a perfect base for you in Dublin. It has direct access to Killiney beach (where the new-fangled idea of 'sea-bathing' became popular in the 18th century) and is immediately adjacent to the suburban rail (DART) station with frequent service into the center of Dublin (just 30 minutes away).
To visit the Book of Kells (in Trinity College) or absorb the atmosphere of a modern European capital just hop on the DART. For sightseeing in Dublin city you will probably not use a car but the apartment is also the perfect base for touring. The southern end of the ring road around Dublin (M50) is a short 5 minute drive. You will have no difficulty finding the routes to the South and West.
Wicklow - known as the 'garden of Ireland' - is on your doorstep. Glendalough is only a 40 minute drive away. Closer to home you might take the 5 minute walk up the hill behind you to see the 7th century ruins of the Church of the Daughters of Léinín (Cill Ínion Léinín - now in English: Killiney). Dalkey with its many restaurants and stores is one stop away on the DART. The town of Dun Laoghaire with its large harbour and four sailing clubs is only 10 minutes away on the DART line. Killiney Golf Club (9 holes) is close by. Killiney Hill Park, with amazing views over Dublin city and from where the mountain ranges of Wales are visible on a clear day, is a 5 minute drive.
Visitors traveling overnight from North America might note that many flights arrive in Europe in the early morning. Due to the need to facilitate departing guests and to clean the apartment, the apartment is usually available for occupation in mid-afternoon on the day of arrival, around 3.30pm.
Whether you are coming to Ireland to tour or to relax, whether your idea of a perfect Dublin evening will be centered on a play by Samuel Beckett or Sean O'Casey in the National (Abbey) Theatre in the city or on a convivial Dalkey pub like Finnegans, the apartment will suit you perfectly as a base.

Spectacular Apartment

This apartment was a great home base to see the Eastern side of Ireland because of the convenience of using the Dart train system. It was only a short walk from the Dart to the apartment. The apartment was beautiful in every way, quality throughout. We have stayed in wonderful apartments and homes throughout the world through VRBO, and this was the nicest of them all. The view was spectacular, as was the decor. Marble in the bathroom, wood counters, lovely pictures on the walls, just top notch all the way. The owner was very helpful, kind and a great support. We highly recommend this apartment to others. Enjoy!

It is not too often that you get a sea view like this in Dublin. We were in Dublin for a week to attend a family reunion and this apartment really hit the spot. We had two kids (6 + 1) and a granny in tow and the large two bed apt coped very well. It was spotlessly clean and the owners were on hand if there were any issues (which there were not). The description is accurate but the photos dont do it justice. It was bigger than expected and when the sun was shining the view from the balcony was beautiful. Killiney beach is no more than 2/3 minutes walk from the apt. The Dart rail link to Dublin is literally across the road but you do not get disturbing train noise at all. Driving to Dublin is easy and the mountains and the beaches of County Wicklow are also very accesible by car. I will definitley use this property again and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.

My wife and I stayed here for a week along with our toddler and it was absolutely perfect. The setting is beautiful - the beach is literally across the street, there are gorgeous views of the sea from the apartment, and the nearby town of Dalkey is picturesque and full of charm. We began our day each morning with a long walk on the beach, and often popped into Dalkey afterwards for a late breakfast or early lunch. There's a train station across the street as well, and from it the journey into Dublin takes only 20 or 30 minutes. We also rented a car during our visit and the apartment is within easy reach of a number of main arteries striking north, south and west. The apartment itself is beautifully appointed and full of modern conveniences. We were there in November and particularly enjoyed the gas fireplace and large soaking tub. The kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and cooking facilities and because of it, and the comfortably large dining room, we were able to entertain friends for dinner. Finally, the owners were extremely welcoming and helpful at every turn. We would recommend this apartment without hesitation. We ourselves will likely rent it again on our next trip to Ireland.

our stay in Killiney was perfect! This was due mostly in part to the owners of the apartment. They were so gracious and helpful in every way. There were a couple of mishaps during the beginning of our stay and the owners were easily accessible and did everything they could to help and fix the problems. The apartment is clean, elegantly furnished and well stocked with all of the comforts of home. The gated entry, elevator and spectacular view were fabulous. Having the DART within walking distance was great and it made my travels to and from my conference a breeze. It is well worth the trip and I hope to return with my family very soon.

This apartment is fantastic! To be honest the pictures posted do not do the property justice. Finding relaxation here should not be a problem. The rooms were larger than expected, and the bathrooms were large and clean. The kitchen was huge and open, a perfect place to cook some quality family meals. And you can enjoy your meal at the dinner table overlooking the ocean from your window. Very nice!! Although we stayed in the colder October weather, the beach was still a great escape at only a very short walk away. The property security officer is one of the nicest guys we met on our entire euro trip. Also we stayed without a vehicle and we still able to get around just fine by the use of the DART. If you are coming from the airport by taxi, make sure the driver has a gps and you have the address of the property because this place can get a little tricky to find for those not fimiliar with that area. So, for those seeking a nice and relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle that is Traveling, I highly suggest this property. And one last thing....the small town of Dalkey (one DART stop away) makes a great place to meet the locals and immerse yourself in some good ole fashioned pub culture. Have fun, we sure did!

We spent a week in this gorgeous apartment and we never wanted to leave! The location is perfect with spectacular views of the water! We rented a car although it was not necessary. The apartment is only a few steps away from the DART station and we took the easy 20 minute train ride into the centre of Dublin almost every day. On the days when we didn't go into Dublin we explored the quaint picturesque villages nearby. The kitchen is a cook's dream. We loved shopping at the local butcher's shop, bakery and green grocer for ingredients to make spectacular meals that we enjoyed eating outside on the patio overlooking the sea. We would highly recommend this apartment!

The views from this apartment are gorgeous. Open the windows and let in the sea air! My family and I stayed for a week in June (2010.) The owners were very helpful as were the staff on site. When we arrived everything was clean and well-maintained. The DART is just across the street and so convenient to get to Dublin and other places. Dalkey is close by for shopping and some good pubs for grabbibg a bite. We liked The Queens Restaurant, great with kids and good food. We hope to return!
