BJR Lodge is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This secluded country setting is nestled against a 500 acre public hunting preserve offering game, pheasant and waterfowl hunting, bird watching, cross-country skiing, horseback riding and hiking. The lodge is perfect for romantic getaways, group retreats, corporate meetings, family gatherings or hunting trips.
We are open year round and have four bedrooms, all with private baths. The recently renovated lodge offers something for everyone. The sitting area provides the perfect spot to have small meetings in front of the cozy woodstove or to simply kick-back and enjoy the fellowship. The kitchen, dining area and outdoor grill are fully equipped for your use. The large one acre backyard is fully fenced for your kids or your pet and includes a fire pit for those special times around the campfire. There are seven acres of fenced wooded pasture so you can even bring your horse.
You can reach out and touch the stars at night or watch for wildlife while enjoying a refreshing beverage on the expansive deck. Relax as you warm you feet by the fire, socialize with friends, watch the sunset, play cards or watch a movie on our satellite big screen TV.
BJR Lodge is located in rural North Central Iowa about 30 miles southwest of Clear Lake Iowa. To the north and east we have public hunting land including East Twin Lake which offers prime waterfowl habitat. To the west and south we have prime Iowa cropland with expansive views and habitat for pheasants and deer. You can rent the entire lodge or individual rooms for a smaller party. Each rental includes the use of lodge common areas, thirteen acres of grounds and many relaxing amenities.
