The Villa Double W, completed in 2006, is located just 10 minutes drive from George Town, the little capital of the Exumas, and 30 minutes from the airport (with daily flights from Miami and Nassau).
This lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 story Villa is perfect for your vacation getaway to escape from stress and pollution. The Villa overlooks one of the nicest flats in the Bahamas and boasts gorgeous views of the surrounding cays. The Villa has 1,600 square feet of centrally air-conditioned living space with two bedrooms on the lower floor, open design kitchen and living area. It has 2 outdoor showers. Towels and linens are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are laundry facilities available. The Kitchen has everything to make you feel at home; refrigerator and freezer, microwave, and a full line of cooking utensils. A cloth washer and dryer are also located on the same floor. Nice walkways wind throughout our natural landscaping gardens leading to a patio with lounge chairs and a Gazebo where you can enjoy your breakfast or a quiet morning meditation and in the evening sunsets. It includes several outdoor sitting areas, a dock and outdoor BBQ for ultimate relaxation. The dock leads into the crystal clear water on the south side with a perfect white sandy bottom, great for swimming!
The Villa is fully air conditioned and has a spacious living/dining room and cathedral ceilings on the 2nd floor. The master bedroom on the 2nd floor is furnished with king size bed, closet and bathroom with shower, WC with balcony overlooking breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding cays. One the 2nd floor you also have the family room furnished with a sofa and two soft chairs (a fold away bed could also be available by arrangement). The two further bedrooms are on the first floor, one with 2 single twin beds and the other bedroom has queen size bed with large closets and a shared bathroom with shower and WC. All rooms, even the baths, are fully central air conditioned and have ceiling fans. The Villa is furnished in a Scandinavian style and is fully equipped with full kitchen, telephones, ceiling fans, washer, dryer, air conditioning throughout, and at request it is also possible to get satellite TV and high speed internet access (DSL).
The beautiful turquoise ocean water, of which Exuma is fabled, is just feet from the door. Simply walk outside for a perfect day of sunbathing or explore the nearby cays or reefs. The waters in Exuma are not only beautiful, but ideal for fishing and diving. Exuma has many cays and beaches to explore, where one can find their secret place. Fly Fishing for Bone Fish is a very popular sport here with many personal Bahamian guides to take you to the best spots. Consider renting a boat to explore many beautiful coves and cays only minutes away and you just might be able to catch some snapper, grouper, conch or lobster for dinner. In addition, great deep sea fishing is available by charter. The less adventurous can take one of the water taxis to some of the same places, enjoying the local hospitality at one of the beach bars. The Island Magazine recognized Exuma as “one of the five best islands in the world to live on”.
Our property manager/house keeper can direct you to and assist you in: finding the best bonefish guide; getting to the "right" local restaurant and finding island entertainment that you will enjoy; renting a car or boat; exploring the island; finding secluded beaches; going snorkelling, diving and deep-sea fishing; shopping for the essentials and gifts; getting mid-week housekeeping or at your request get a bottle of whine and a package of lobster tails stocked in the refrigerator and/or liquor cabinet stocked before you arrive; referring a local Bahamian cook who will prepare a meal or two at the villa? Just let us know. He can advise you about all aspects of your vacation and he is determined making your stay delightful and comfortable. He is serving as a care-taker for the house as well as a liaison for any house-guests. Welcome!

We have been coming to Casa del Mar on Longboat Key for 16 years and everything is just right here. when we arrive, it's like coming home. We just love our long, peaceful walks on the beach and the beautiful landscaping just makes you feel good.
