Our Pensacola Beach Favorites!!
The Gulf Fishing Pier: his is the longest fishing pier on the Gulf – it’s the best $1 you’ll spend on the beach to walk to the end and check out the emerald green waters and some of the local fishies!
The Boardwalk: You can take the Portofino I ferry to one of our favorite restaurants, Hemingway’s, has great seafood & steaks – is a great place to watch the sunset – and they also have a great Oyster bar on the top deck and Bimini’s beach bar and grill on the first floor. The Hemingway family sanctioned this and you’ll see lots of Hemingway memorabilia throughout. There are also several cute little shops. Papa’s Pizza is also good and there are some great local bands that frequent the Boardwalk bar & restaurants.
Other Restaurants: NEW! The Grand Marlin – AWESOME DECK! Great food. NEW! Jimmy Buffet’s first Margaritaville Hotel – has a LandShark bar – setting is spectacular – pool/bar is on the 2nd level overlooking the Gulf.
Peg Leg Pete’s: The locals favorite! Great grilled shrimp, drinks and music – get there early or be prepared for a wait – but you can always have a great margarita.
Crabs, Founders (on the bay - has a great kids play area!), Holiday Inn Resort (great fish tacos) and the Hilton H20 restaurant are all good. Florida Pizza Kitchen (AWESOME Mediterranean salad & pizzas – located right across the road from Emerald Isle, near the Subway sandwich shop) is a favorite.
Fresh seafood: Joe Patti’s fresh seafood (off Bayfront parkway past downtown at B Street) has a HUGE offering, deli with great fresh breads, cheeses, snacks and even a wine store – it’s a great place to just walk thru – and great Kodak picture taking off the back with the boats, pelicans and bay – Joe Patti builds his own shrimping boats. There’s also a new Crab Trap restaurant near Joe Pattie’s and the future site of the Maritime Park.
Maria’s fresh seafood shop also good for fresh fish.
