Map & Owner's Profile
Tahoe Wolfs Den - 4 BR with Loft & Game Rm - 3 BA - Hot Tub
Year Purchased: 1997
Why the Owner Chose Christmas Valley 1
We chose to buy the Wolfs Den because of its location and view. The home is at the end of Christmas Valley where all of the homes have 1-2 acres and are more spread out. It is on a very quiet street with less than 10 cars passing in a day. The mountain view is spectacular and it is only a couple minute walk to the Upper Truckee River and several trailheads. We wanted to be on the outskirts of town to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains and not have to listen to city traffic.
The Unique Benefits at this house
We have set up the home with ski, road and trail maps for our guest to best experience Tahoe. You will enjoy quiet and get the rest that you deserve. There are hiking and biking trails available right out the front door and a beautiful meadow along the river. The home backs up to a mountain so sledding is out the back door.
Big Meadow trailhead, Tahoe Rim trailhead. Hike along the Tahoe Rim Trail or to Round Lake or Lake Dardenelles.
Winter- Rent snowmobiles, snowshoe... Summer- Beautiful drive, fish, atv, bike ride....
Owner's Map of Christmas Valley 1
Teresa and I love Tahoe. It is an amazingly beautiful place with so many activities possible. In the Winter I ski, snowboard and take my snowmobile to Blue Lakes and in the Summer I hike, backpack, fish or take my mountainbike on many of the local trails available right out the front door.....We have owned the Tahoe Wolfs Den since 1997 and enjoy meeting guest from around the world.

Dear Dana & Teresa, Thank you very much for opening up your beautiful home for our family. It was our home away from home. We enjoyed going on walks, playing in the backyard with the kids, and relaxing in the jacuzzi at night. Dana and Teresa your helpfulness and friendliness were greatly appreciated. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you again for everything! The Almirantearena & Duhart Families

Dear Dana and Teresa: Thank you again for the opportunity to stay at your great home. As you know, we have been coming since '03. We truly appreciate the care that you have for your home. We just spent a wonderful week at the Wolf's Den and we will be back as soon as possible. Since '03 the house gets better and better. Thanks for the WiFi addition, it let us stay in contact with our adult children, but also let us relax in peace and quiet =). JHS & EMS

The wolf den is an amazing place. The sled hill, swing, and see saw are right in the backyard. Visible from the first floor bedroom that I slept in. It was a great way to spend the day when we didn't want to go to the slopes. Also, we checked out two nearby tubing hills and then realized that the backyard sledding was much more fun. Truly, a great house that inspired fun and spontaneity. We plan on going back for sure. Craig

Our family of 10, including one infant, stayed at the Wolfsden for one week. With four bedrooms, plus a loft, there was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was spacious enough for two or three cooks to work at the same time. The property is large and backs up to a beautiful forest. There are great hiking trails nearby where we saw several waterfalls. For more experienced hikers, there were longer, more challenging hikes with lakes within four miles. We had a great time and would recommend this home to others.

What a fun place to stay! We love the way that everything was so convenient- from the fully- stocked kitchen to the adorably decorated rooms to the towels. We were 4 small families that stayed and just had an awesome time. The jacuzzi was fun and the swing and see-saw provided good times for us "older kids." Thanks!

It's a long way to go skiing in California from the UK, but skiing in Heavenly is just that, Heavenly, so worth the trip. And on our second trip where to stay but where we did on our first, four years ago, Wolfs Den. It was perfect last time and perfect this time. Fantastic family home, clean, practical, welcoming, comfy beds, and plenty of sensible information on the locality. We all loved the hot tub! Owners very helpful before and during stay. Can't wait to go again! Many thanks.
