The wolf den is an amazing place. The sled hill, swing, and see saw are right in the backyard. Visible from the first floor bedroom that I slept in. It was a great way to spend the day when we didn't want to go to the slopes. Also, we checked out two nearby tubing hills and then realized that the backyard sledding was much more fun. Truly, a great house that inspired fun and spontaneity. We plan on going back for sure. Craig

Our family of 10, including one infant, stayed at the Wolfsden for one week. With four bedrooms, plus a loft, there was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was spacious enough for two or three cooks to work at the same time. The property is large and backs up to a beautiful forest. There are great hiking trails nearby where we saw several waterfalls. For more experienced hikers, there were longer, more challenging hikes with lakes within four miles. We had a great time and would recommend this home to others.

What a fun place to stay! We love the way that everything was so convenient- from the fully- stocked kitchen to the adorably decorated rooms to the towels. We were 4 small families that stayed and just had an awesome time. The jacuzzi was fun and the swing and see-saw provided good times for us "older kids." Thanks!

It's a long way to go skiing in California from the UK, but skiing in Heavenly is just that, Heavenly, so worth the trip. And on our second trip where to stay but where we did on our first, four years ago, Wolfs Den. It was perfect last time and perfect this time. Fantastic family home, clean, practical, welcoming, comfy beds, and plenty of sensible information on the locality. We all loved the hot tub! Owners very helpful before and during stay. We had a great time at the Wolf's Den. Once we set foot in the house, nobody wanted to leave. Everything was perfect. Warm, spacious, and very comfortable. Dana & Teresa are more than accomodating. Dana and Teresa, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for making our trip wonderful. The home was warm, comfortable, and plenty of room for the 8 of us. I would 100% recommend your home to anyone. We had no problems getting there, getting into the house, or finding anything in the house, except the outdoor stereo but we eventually found it the last day. What a beautiful white Christmas we had at the Wolf's den. Your cabin is well stocked, comfortable and very family friendly. We especially loved the property. It was like having our own snow park. Dana stopped by to shovel the decks and helped the kids with some engineering challenges they were having with a sled run. Everyone enjoyed sitting in the hot tub while the snow was falling. In the past I'm ready to head home after 4 days in a cabin but after a week at the Wolf's den, I wanted to stay another week. We couldn't have asked for a better way to spend Christmas. Thanks again. We hope to stay with you again soon!

We spent three days at Tahoe Wolf's Den. This was our first time reting a cabin. I think in the future we may have to go back to the Den because no one else could do it better. Dana and Teresa were extremely helpful. The cabin was extrordinary. There were plently of bedrooms and bathrooms and the house was very clean. The location was perfect. This was a great house for our family of 4 kids with spouses and a couple little ones. In great repair, nicely furnished with the woodsy theme, and lots of fun stuff to do within a short walk or drive. The hosts were exceptionally helpful and attended to our every need. We thoroughly enjoyed our nine days there and hated to leave. We have done this trip to Hawaii twice, Mt. Shasta City, and the coast and this was the best! two familys stayed for a period of four nights.The property was ideal and was laid out perfect for both families. Every day we grew more attached to the house and it felt like " home from home". Facilities were very good and we all enjoyed our stay.

Eight of us stayed at the Wolf's Den for the weekend of my wedding. What a lovely place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay -- there's a big kitchen, plenty of space, a homey feel, and comfortable bedrooms. Everyone said they would stay there again, and a few in the party were ready to move in permanently. The location was quiet and remote and yet close to South Lake Tahoe. The mountain view and nature walks were great. One day several of us went down to the stream and climbed/hiked rocks for an hour. What a wonderful retreat. Our children had a great time discovering all the treasures in the huge backyard, from the see-saw to the log swing and tree house. We enjoyed the hot tub, chipping green and peacefull surroundings. The location was perfect, very quiet and secluded, but not too far from town. The house was very well kept and spacious and the views from all the windows were spectacular.

Ah who! The Wolfs den. What a house. Was there in March for late ski season. Was skeptical at first but after being there fell in love with the place. The Wolf's Den offers up everything but the Wolf's, although we did hear howling coyotes at night, and on the first morning there was greeted by old smoky the Bear in the back yard (pretty cool) Between sledding down the hill in the back yard to just relaxing by the fire place. The Wolfs Den offers something for everyone, your kids well love it and so will you. Can't wait to go back and neither can the kids, enjoy. Tury Family, Hermosa Beach, CA.

The BEST cabin I've stayed in! Loved it from the minute I walked in. I always research quite a bit before renting and I hit the jackpot with Wolf's Den. Dana and Teresa made us feel completely welcome. My group was VERY impressed. Not to mention, our timing couldn't have been more perfect. We got TONS of snow. 8 adults lived very comportably for 5 nights a the den. Nice location. Great hiking trails just a walk away. Easy access to snowboarding and casinos. The hot tub was the perfect ending to our stay. Dana and Teresa made us feel completely welcome. Thanks for shoveling the snow Dana! Same time, same place next year!

My family stayed at the Wolf's Den over the New Years. The backyard is truly special. The kids made a sled run and swung on the log swing. You don't have to drive anywhere for snowplay. We will definitely come back.

lake tahoe at its best! the back yard was marvelous for the kids and adults. there never was a bored moment. the best thing i like was communication was available when we couldnt figure things out. dana and his family was johnny on the spot. the maps and photo books of things to do are so helpful. you cant have a better place to stay for your dollar. what can i say but we loved are weekend at wolfs den!!!!!

Wolf's Den was the perfect place for my family while visiting S. Lake Tahoe. The ski resorts was close as well as the casino. This visit was my third and the first for my family. The house was very warm and cozy, by the second day it felt as if the house was ours. The house had it all, my little cousins were entertained for the whole trip which is very hard for the two of them. The back yard was entertaining for all of us, the hot tub for the adults and sledding down a nice size slope for the rest of us. Great place to visit. The moment we walked into the Wolf's Den we knew that it was perfect place for us. It is extremely clean and comfortable. The kitchen (which is well equipped) and the hardwood floors are beautiful. The large table was great for meals for 3 adults and 5 children. There were games provided for all ages (and we played a great deal of them). Even though the weather did not cooperate for us, the place made it a wonderful vacation. Two more adults and a child showed up for 1 night and everyone slept extremely confortable. Dana and Teresa, thank you for opening up your home to us. We will return.

Our family, with 3 boys ages 16-11, loved the Wolfs Den both inside and out. It is a lovely, homey, welcoming and peaceful retreat in a beautiful area. We had the NorCal High School Mountain Bike League Coaches RETREAT, see norcalmtb dot org. All 10 days were awesome! The trails are world class and the home is very relaxing and well equipped. We are coming back!

The Wolf's Den was everything that we had hoped for and more. It is a very comfortable & well equiped house with lots of space for drying gloves, boots etc. As soon as you walk in you feel at home. The children loved the games room and had a great time in the back garden making snowmen and sledging. The owners, Dana & Teresa, were very helpful from our first enquiry onwards. They helped us with advice about ski school, ski hire, & what to do if you meet a bear! The directions were excellent and they suggested the best route for us to take to our next destination. We would love to visit the Wolf's Den again and would certainly recommend it the others.

We loved this house and appreciate the owner sharing it with us. Overall the house was very nice and well appointed. The hot tub and foosball table were great and received alot of use. Most houses I've rented have plain kitchens and baths. The Wolf's den kitchen will blow you away, just like in the pics, and the baths are large and beautiful as well. We had a great time at Wolf's Den! The weather was great and the owner was very helpful in helping us prepare for our trip. Dana made sure we had directions to the house and gave us the inside scope on the ski resorts and other attractions. From his helpful advice, we had two great days at Kirkwood without the Heavenly crowds. Additional, the house was perfect for our group. There were eight of us and we all had plenty of room. Plus, the hot tub was just what you needed after a long day of skiing. If we make it out to Tahoe again, Wolf's Den would be at the top of our list. Close to the town and all the ski resorts; you cannot go wrong with this house.

The Wolf's Den was amazing! From the moment we walked in we were impressed. The fire was going, there was a bottle of wine waiting for us on the counter, and the whole house was so welcoming. The beautiful wood floors and gorgeous kitchen really stood out, making the home just beautiful. Our children loved playing with the toys and all the adults enjoyed the wonderfully clean hot tub. We hope to make the Wolf's Den a Thanksgiving destination for our family every year!
