Our quiet, secluded home is situated on 17 beautiful acres, of which most are wooded, and contain many hiking trails. We are located 7 miles north of Harbor Springs on M-119, at the entrance of the Heritage Highway commonly known as the Tunnel of Trees. There is a swing, horseshoe pit and firepit for campfires with scenic views of Lake Michigan. A large deck with furniture and a gas BBQ overlooks rock gardens and serene environment with plenty of wildlife.
There are many activities and sights to see in the area. We are located just 12 minutes from Nub’s Nob and Boyne Highlands golf and ski areas. Groomed cross country ski trails are also within a five minute drive. It is also just a five minute drive to "Thorn Swift Nature Preserve" and beach access. Many wonderful restaurants and upscale shops are in and around the Harbor Springs and the Petoskey area. About an hour drive on M119 (the scenic "Tunnel of Trees") to Historic Mackinac Island.
Main floor includes the kitchen with all new appliances, eating area for up to 9 people, laundry room, great room which is open to loft and includes a 50” flat screen TV with satellite, bath room with sink, toilet and shower stall and 2 bedrooms with double beds in each. There is a second TV for kid’s games in one bedroom. Second floor includes a loft with piano and games table, 1 bedroom with two single beds, 1 bedroom with double/twin bunk and a bath with sink, toilet and shower stall.
A 50% of the rent deposit will hold your reservation. The balance, plus your refundable $400.00 security deposit in a separate check (to cover damages, excessive cleaning), are due 30 days prior to arrival. There is an additional cleaning fee of $90. Cancellations received a minimum of 30 days in advance of the arrival date, will be refunded, less a $200.00 cancellation fee. There are no refunds for cancellations less than 30 days in advance of the arrival date.
Weekend check in is Friday after 4:00 PM and check out is Sunday prior to 12 Noon. Minimum two night stay for non holiday weekends and three night stay for holiday weekends.
Dogs are welcome, but no cats please as owner is allergic to cats.
