Why the Owner Chose Sevierville
At the age of 15 years old in the family march break motor home trip, we went through Kentucky and Tennessee. I fell in love with the mountains of Tennessee, particularly the Smoky Mountains. What a trip, burned out breaks, tubing, fly fishing, scouting out the waterfalls, you name it we did it. And oh yah!! The Mills Brothers cassette tape, by the time we were home, I new all the words by memory, propably do even today, my dad was in a phase, what can I say, myself, country music, bluegrass is my nitch.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
I vowed at the early age that before I retire I would have a log cabin in the mountains, so we set out on this adventure, renting for 15 years, every time a different cabin, to find the likes and dislikes of each cabin and keeping notes as to what our perfect getaway needed to have. Cozy feeling when walking in, but homey, very comfortable furniture and enough furniture to relax and settle in with a good book infront of a cozy fireplace. Decorated for the seasons, was huge for me, I always brought my christmas tree, lights, ornaments and lights for the outside of the cabin even for a weeks stay over the holidays. I did that each and every holiday we were fortunate enough to do over the years, heat up some warm apple cidar, something about the smell in a warm, cozy log cabin. So the hunt started in 1991 and finally found the perfect setting in 2005 over our fall outing to the Smokies. Tucked back of the road, the cabin spoke to me from the street, but the inside another story entirely, a gut job in the works. Thus, 6 months in the making, new lodge style decor, lighting and comfy furniture. Stag's Leap was born anew. Many, many vacationers have called Stag's Leap their home away from home, warm and inviting, and we couldn't agree more.
"AFTER 3:00pm" program, purhase tickets and enter the park after 3:00pm, the next day is FREE!! Great way to make this more affordable for the family
Old Mill area is full of quaint shops, close to Patriot Park with seasonal decorations, trolly car depot, great restaurants, Old Mill Restaurant (family style home cooked meal and lots of it) Old M
quaint stores, don't forget the christmas shop, restaurant and cafeteria, always busy, good food
Staff very helpful with maps of the Smoky Mountains and area attractions of the park, Clingmans Dome, Cades Cove, hiking, scenic lookouts and much more
Only 20 minute drive from traffic light #3 in Pigeon Forge, tubing, fun, scenic and relatively inexpensive
Owner's Map of Sevierville
The mountains are the calming factor of our lives, both working in retail for more than 20 years, the only place my husband can relax and unwind. Fishing and mountains within 20 minutes of the cabin, his ultimate vacation spot. For me curled up on a cozy couch, hot chocolate and a good movie with the warm glow of the fireplace is just perfect. Or curled up with a warm blanket on the covered front porch watching the wild turkeys and birds come into the property, heaven, that's all I can say.

What a terrific time we had staying at Stag's Leap the first week in December. The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas both inside and out. The owners have made sure all the necessities and ammenties were there to make our stay perfect. Beautiful scenery outside and a short easy drive to restaurants and attractions. Gatlinburg is 30 minutes away. The cabin is so cozy that you will find it difficult to leave. We would definitely stay here again.
Owner response:We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us at our 2 bedroom getaway cabin, especially at Christmas time. Even more special was the snowfall you woke up to at the cabin. The area sparkles for the holidays along with our cabins, just a magical time to visit the Smokies. Merry Christmas!!

The cabin was beautifully decorated and what we liked most - quiet. We liked the cabin being secluded but still within a short distance of town. Thanks, we had a great relaxing time.

Stag's Leap was everything promised and more! The cabin was absolutely beautiful, cozy, comfortable, private, charming-the best. Booking, check-in, and communication with the owners was excellent. The cabin was convenient to the Smoky Mountains National Park, Dollywood, and other area attractions and restaurants. Although the weather was not the best when we visited, we did not mind because we had a beautiful cabin to spend time at. I would definetely recommend it for anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Severville area. We had a nice stay!
Owner response:So sorry to hear the weather didn't co-operate for your stay in the Smokies but we are glad to hear the cabin was exactly what you were looking for. Please keep us in mind for any future plans to visit the area, we would love to have you stay with us another time. Thank you and god bless!!

My husband and I just returned from our first stay at Stag's Leap and we were both so happy I chose this beautiful, warm and fuzzy cabin for our winter vacation. I admit that I spent considerable time on the internet reviewing cabins before we arrived but this cabin looked amazing and when I saw it ,I have to say it was exactly as it was pictured and then some. We had beautiful weather which allowed us to ride our motorcycle which we trailered to the cabin. The circular driveway made it easy to park and unload. We rode all day and came back to the hot tub which was great. There is a store named Whaleys close by which had great steaks for the gas grill. We also ate at the Old Grist Mill restaurant and the food was excellent. Gatlinburg is close by and we spent a day there shopping. The cabin was immaculate and very well equipped with everything you need. The owners were extremely easy to work with and helped us to make this last minute vacation happen without difficulty. I have in fact come home and recommended this very cabin to another couple looking for a place for their anniversary week. We hope to be able to return again next year. I do not have to look anymore as I know exactly where I want to stay.
Owner response:We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Stag's Leap for your motorcycle getaway. What a way to spend your vacation on the open mountain roads motorycling the day away, some of the most beautiful scenery I've seen. We try very hard to keep the cabin up to date and well equipped to make our guest stays the most enjoyable and comfortable and I think we have accomplished just that. We ourselves are a 10 hour drive from Stag's Leap as well our larger cabin Wilderness Ridge, so comfort was the most important aspect of a cabin that we wanted when choosing a getaway. Please feel free to talk the cabin up with friends, family and co-workers, we would love to have them experience Stag's Leap also, the way we enjoy it the minute we drive in. We have had many hours of enjoyment watching the wild turkeys come in daily. A piece of heaven on earth. God Bless.

Our first visit to Stag's Leap and it was TERRIFIC!! We had our first visit also to Dollywood and surrounding area. Our 4 children had a wonderful time. The cabin is a wonderful retreat from the lights and attractions. Thanks for having it decorated for Christmas as it has really set the mood for the holidays. We look forward to future visits. Best wishes and thank you.

You have a gorgeous cabin & we have thoroughly enjoyed the time we have spent at Stag's Leap. We decided to do something extra special for our summer vacation. We have stayed in the area hotels, thus began our search and location was very important to us & a friend found your cabin for us on-line. It was perfect!! Awesome location! The pictures on your web-site don't do it justice. Our teenagers have thanked us all week for renting this incredible cabin and they are begging us to make plans to come back here every summer. Before we even unpacked the car, we were greated by a family of wild turkeys. Our daughter quickly found the turkey food and fed them. After a great night sleep the first night the sun light was flooding through the stain glass window above the jacuzzi tub, it reminded me of the stained glass windows at church...very special. Thank you for sharing your perfect cabin, we hope to come back soon. I can only imagine how beautiful Stag's Leap is in the fall.
Owner response:Thank you and we are very pleased your children had a great time at Stag's Leap. We have had many hours ourself enjoying the wild turkeys so we try to keep feed in the cabins for the children to feed them. Please consider us again for your summer/fall getaways, we would love to have you stay with us again. Have a great day.

Thank you so very much for renting us the cabin. The best cabin I've stayed in. Loved the layout. Decorated to perfection! Loved it!! We would definitely like to come back. Leaving now sadly, once again thank you.
Owner response:Chris & I are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us at Stag's Leap. We have dedicated a lot of time to making our cabins as comfortable yet cozy as we could and now that the cabin is even more spacious, it seems to be even more popular than before the renos. Please keep us in mind for any future plans for visiting the Smokies again, we would love to have you back with us again. God Bless!!

We had a great time. Stag's Leap was very nice and very clean and decorated top class. Probably one of the cleanest I have stayed in so far. Floors were very clean (which is very important to me) and never saw a bug or spider anywhere. Furniture and beds were very nice and comfortable. Plenty of nice heavy covers for the winter. Secluded enough for privacy but close enough to neighbors if you needed help. Minutes away from restaurants and shopping.

The Cabin was one of the cleanest and quaint that i had been in. Cookies were left by the owner (very thoughtful). The fireplace and wifi was great.Kids had fun playing pool and in the hot tubs. Got hit with the whitest Christmas since 1969 in Tennessee. Wish there was a shovel though, we were stuck in snow for four days, The community (Bay Harbor) was not ready for the snowfall as their snowplows were not working..two days later the snowplow(a pickup gracing the snow and a person in a pick up throwing salt by hand at 30 mph) wasn't doing much.. Got into town after our food ran out by Local Taxi($60.00 there and back was a steal plus we bought a shovel) After all our neighbors used our shovel to clean their areas we all managed to get out by some locals helping us out..owners were nice enough to let us off early so we can get a hotel near the Gatlingburg area...great place as long as there is no snow storms...
Owner response:We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. I don't think anyone was prepared for the snow fall the Smokies experienced over the holidays but from the pictures the mountains were breathtaking with all that snow. We do provide a shovel and salt at the side of the cabin below the front covered porch, sorry you didn't see it. How I would love to be snowed in for 4 days to enjoy our cabin, hiking around the cabin, and the scenery, I'm envious. You were the first guests that have been snowed in with our cabin since 2005. We are so glad you found the pool table and hot tub entertaining during your stay. This trip will provide your family with many fond memories along with quality family time with all that snow. Thank you and God Bless!!
