The scenery is lovely with Gore creek and the beaver pond to the south and the mountain with a big horn sheep habituate to the north.
It is up the mountain 1/4 a mile from the Mountain School and the bus stop. The slopes of Vail are visible from the middle level deck as is the golf course, cross country ski tract (on the golf course) and a world famous ice climbing site across the creek.
