Ahava Cottage is truly one of the premier rental properties in beautiful Rosemary Beach. Both Ahava and our other home, the adjacent Sababa Carriage House (see VRBO listing #195247) are located on the desirable Gulf side, are just a 2 minute walk to the beach and even closer to the fabulous Coquina Pool. All of Rosemary's most popular amenities -- beach, community pools, shopping, restaurants, fitness center, tennis, playground, bicycle rental -- are within a 5 minute walk of Ahava yet privacy and seclusion are yours as you sit on one of the outdoor porches and listen to the sounds of the sea.
Professionally and exquisitely decorated, Ahava has a chic and contemporary feel. It features an open living room with high ceilings, an upgraded kitchen with top of the line stainless steel appliances, wine cooler, and an amazing antique French Oak dining table. One of two master bedrooms is located on the first floor. The second floor features another master bedroom, an additional bedroom with 2 twin beds, and a bunk room with built-ins. A family room/sitting area (complete with sleeper sofa) and an office are also found on the second floor. The second level balcony gives you a partial view of the Gulf. A spiral staircase with custom railing leads to the third floor loft area that has partial Gulf views and full-size futon.
Other features include granite countertops and Travertine flooring on the first floor, natural pecan hardwood flooring on the second and third floors, custom Roman shades, maple woodwork and built-ins throughout, oversized showers with Rainheads, and custom maple platform king-size beds in both master suites. TVs are in every bedroom as well as in the second floor family room/sitting area and there is a flat-panel 42" TV in the main floor living room. There is a grill, outdoor shower, and ample outdoor furniture for you to lounge in, including a hammock next to the fountain.
While at Rosemary Beach do as little or as much as you like. You can spend the entire day on the beach or take advantage of the many activities available to you -- bicycle riding, parasailing, golfing, shopping, and tennis just to name a few. Rosemary has four community pools, one of which is heated and fully enclosed and another -- the Coquina Pool -- is heated when needed. Pamper yourself at the Solace Day Spa, take a class at the fitness center, do some shopping, eat in one of the many nearby restaurants, and rent a bicycle for the day. Whatever you do, you can't help but be taken in by some of the most beautiful, white sandy beaches you'll find anywhere in the world and by the elegant, serene, "upscale Mayberry" surroundings of Rosemary Beach.

Our home is very close to both the beach and to a beautiful, large, negative-edge pool -- both are about a minute away. It's just a short walk to the main square in Rosemary. Once we're here, we find ourselves getting around more by bicycle than by car.
The house itself is spacious, bright, and open.

My family along with another stayed in this home in April 2010. Four adults and 5 children, 2 four year olds, 2 eight year olds and an eleven year old. This house was perfect for us, 2 masters and lots of space for the children. On the first floor a master and large bathroom, large family room, powder room, great kitchen with large table and 2 barstools and a laundry room. On the second floor one bedroom with 2 twins and a bunk room with 1 set of bunk beds, sharing a bathroom. Also on the second floor a master and bath, sitting area with a tv, outside the sitting area a large screened porch with a chair and sofa. On the third floor a very big loft area with a double bed and a twin bed, tv, desk and lots of kid space. Our 2 eight year old girls loved this area! The house is nicely decorated and very comfortable with ample outside space for beach chairs, toys etc. and an outside shower. Probably the best thing about this home is proximity to the beach and the park in front of the house. Its literally a 2 minute walk or less to the beach, so so close!!! The enclosed park is so close we could let the kids go there by themselves and see them from the porch. They loved it. The location of this home alone is enough to rent it again. The street is very quiet with little traffic. The owners are wonderful and very easy to work with. Our families highly recommend this house to anyone with small children and anyone who wants a convenient and lovely home to rent.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
