Rice Lake chateau / country house description
PLEASE NOTE: SPRING BREAK WEEK STILL AVAILABLE $1,800. Maple Springs Cottage is a 100 acre private retreat nestled in the rolling hills of Northumberland an hour and a half east of the GTA. Features a log constructed home with stone fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a new kitchen and all appliances and bathrooms brand new.
Ideal for long walks, bird spotting, swimming in the large spring fed pond – this property has it all for the nature enthusiast. The majority of the 100 acres is covered with beautiful mature Sugar Maple forest with walking trails, a bridge over Percy Creek and gently rolling hills for mountain-biking, hiking or walking.
Large well constructed barn features a grand room on main floor and games room underneath.
There’s room for extra guests in a complete guest suite detached from the main house and two bay garage for storing a boat or vehicles.
Maple Springs is the ideal retreat property within 1.5 hours of Toronto in beautiful Northumberland County.
Power use stipulation: A power allowance of $50 per week is included in the rental rate. This property has some very efficient and welcome air conditioners which can make a hot summer more enjoyable. Due to dramatic increases in energy rates in Ontario, additional use is not included in the rental price. A very simple calculation will be done to figure out the power consumption using the before (arrival) and after (departure) meter readings. Consumption is calculated at the current Hydro One rate and that amount less the allowance will be payable on the last day of your stay. Normal energy use will not exceed the allowance.
