Hi Mark, Our stay at the condo was wonderful! We went for spring break with our grandchildren. They enjoyed everything about the apartment. Especially the pool and the beach, being so close to the apartment The boy's were able to fly kites and surf at the beach. The apartment was beautiful, spacious and very clean. The apartment being fully upgraded and kept in such outstanding condition really made our stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend your apartment to our friends and family. Thank you.

Great Stay in Miami!

The suite at the Alexander was really excellent. Everything was clean and comfortable. There were 7 guests and we could have fit 2 others if needed. The kitchen had new appliances and was ready for use if needed. The suite's balcony was on the side of the Alexander but you could still see the ocean beautifully. The caretaker of the suite was available if I needed anything and seemed to be on the premises for most of my stay which was nice. I think the most convenient part of the stay was that we were able to use the amenities of the hotel i.e. towels, beach access, pool etc. There are two options to eat at the hotel which are Shula's and Top of The Falls grill. One is lunch/finger foods, the other is more fine dining where you can get breakfast/lunch/dinner so that was convenient as well. Cabs to Ocean Drive/South Beach cost about $10-$15 so it was extremely reasonable. We were able to have the privacy and peacefulness of a residence but close enough to the busier area where it was not inconvenient. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

I stayed in one o HORA's 2 bedroom suites at the alexander hotel. I dealt with Evan. He was very easy to deal with and very accommodating. The hotel is nice, and has a nice beach area, although you have to pay or beach chairs. The room was exactly what the pictures looked like. My only two issues were one, we could have used a little more soap and shampoo, and you only get one set of towels. Besides that, the room was clean, the hotel staff was very nice. We had an issue with the internet and evan dropped of a hot spot right away. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for an affordable nice getaway.

We had a great stay. It was a very beautiful and comfortable unit that was exactly as described and pictured. We had one small problem with a blind that was fixed imediately, even though it was a Saturday and I told them it was not an emergency! Everything else was wonderful. Beautiful beach and pool too! A couple things you might think about changing, heavier curtains on the bedroom doors would be nice for privacy and moving the tv over just a little closer to the livingroom area for better viewing. Little things that might make it an even better place to stay. Thanks for the great vacation!!

Miami at New Year

Overall, we had an excellent vacation and there was much to be appreciated about the Alexander and the 1208. We had an odd situation with our vehicle that was magnificently handled by the valet staff. Because of the “rocket box” on top of the vehicle and the bicycles that were on it, it would not fit in the underground parking garage. Thus, it was kept on the side out front. That worked out great! The valet staff was very helpful. On the other hand, it would be helpful if information could be provided on where to keep bikes; and if there isn’t a current spot, it may be worthwhile for the Alexander to invest in a bike rack. The location is great with easy access to the beach. Access to the Suite was easy, although a little odd not to check in with the front desk. Generally the apartment was fine – roomy; nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped; full size fridge and stove are appreciated. It would be a nice touch to include a supply of trash bags – low cost and would be helpful. Also “hot” pads would be great so that hot dishes could be put on the table for serving. The pull out beds in the LR were great; gave us the extra sleeping area that we needed. The porch was also great, with an angled but excellent view of the beach and ocean. Cardkeys for the beach gate access should have come automatically and not have to be requested. The laundry facilities are adequate, but a little primitive – just one old washer and dryer – they did work but seemed rather worn; and with only one for the entire floor, could have been an issue if lots of folks wanted to use them – luckily not. The entire laundry room area seemed tired and run-down. Overall, we had an excellent stay – what is not to love about Miami in December/January. No issues with noise or other loud guests. We did not try Shula’s. WE spent only a little time at the pools, but they seemed fine.

Amazing apartment and view

We were a Australian family of 4 with 2 boys (10 & 14) and we were travelling in America for 8 weeks and was looking to book something in Miami for a week over xmas - we hadnt used Airbus before and was a little nerves at first but on contacting Mark to stay at the Alexander Hotel for xmas he was very professional from the start answering all our questions (which there were many) promptly. He also added housekeeping to our booking without any extra charge. Once booked we received very detailed information about the apartment which made the arrival very smooth. The apartment that we booked was amazing and was more than we expected - It had beautiful views down the water ways and over to the ocean - it was beautifully presented and very spacious it was very comfortable. We did have a slight issue with the wi-fi but on contacting Mark (via a local contact) the issue was resolved promptly. I would highly recommended using Mark to book any accommodation that he has to offer and will be using him again if we go back to Miami.

Our stay at the condo was absolutely wonderful. The pictures posted and the description of the condo were very accurate. The location was ideal as it was footsteps from the beach and the pool, which the kids couldn't get enough of! The staff was extremely friendly and more than willing to help with any concerns. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family!

I highly reccomend staying in this beautiful, spacious, clean condo conveniently located steps from a private beach and South Beach night life! The condo is brand new with very comfortable beds, great showers, new kitchen appliances, internet, and plenty of living space to accomodate large gatherings. The building has valet service, consierge, pool, bar, convenience store, private beach with towels, chairs, and unbrellas. The owner is very accomodating and a pleasure to work with.

This apartment was perfect. It was very spacious with one king sized bedroom and a second bedroom containing 2 queen sized beds. The apartment was very modern and extremely clean. The views were amazing as they overlooked the beach and downtown Miami. The apartment contained 2 decent sized bathrooms which were spottless, and a large living room area and kitchen. The location was good. It was $10-15 taxi ride to ocean drive. The hotel ammenities were excellent and there was a place to eat by the swimming pool at the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this appartment to others.

We have just returned home to Norway after spending 16 lovely days at this apartment. The apartment is very quiet and perfect if you are looking to stay on the beach but not be in the middel of the South Beach and loud night life. Our group of 6 arrived on Saturday afternoon to breath-taking views and calm surroundings. The Alexander Resort was a very nice resort with great service, good food, and awesome views! The neighborhood is much slower paced than SouthBeach - which is exactly what we were looking for. We were able to take a bus for $2 in all directions and this made getting groceries and other necessities very easy. You would not need to leave the luxurious condo and balcony, but the resort pools, hot-tubs, and private beach access are well worth the elevator trip downstairs. All amenities are included in the very reasonable rate you pay. ' I highly recommend working with Mark and his housekeeper Lesley! The process was simple and quick for check-in, houskeeping service, and check-out. We will be back!

Perfect in Every Respect

From the initial correspondence with Mark, right through to our check-out, this could not have been a better place. The unit is immaculate and even more importantly it was quiet and hospitable. The beds were comfortable, the linens clean and the bathrooms were both what you would find at home.The swimming pools were sparkling (often not the case in Miami) and towels were available and the beach is 100 yards from the door. The parking was easy, and we had a great Internet connection and as well as cable TV. The nice thing is that the unit is far enough away from any congestion but close enough that we walked across the bridge every day. You can't go wrong renting this place particularly as the agent emails immediately. Thank you very much.

great last minute find

We were very fortunate to find this condo for a spring break excursion to Miami with our daughter and her college friends. The Alexander is right on the beach so we spent much of our days sunning, swimming and walking. The kitchen was great for the girls - they could get food as needed and cook. The Alexander is very well located - close enough to the SoBe scene but in a quieter part of town. Everything was exactly as pictured and described and Mark was extremely responsive. The building was serviced by valet parking and while everyone was courteous and prompt we would have preferred self parking. The lobby was beautifully renovated and elevators were efficient. This is a good place for families, especially those with young children.

Owner response: We were so happy to accommodate this group. Owner's are generally hesitant to rent to "college kids". having a responsible adult travel with them gave us the additional comfort we needed. These guests certainly described the uniqueness of the Alexander and it's comforts. We strive to serve our guests and exceed expecattions. Hoping to service you in the near future. mark

A perfect weekend with the girls!

Our group of 6 friends absolutely loved staying at this condo and at the Alexander! We were a group of six girls in their late twenties who stayed at this lovely property for the bachelorette party of a dear friend. We wanted a place that was a close cab ride to the South Beach activities, yet that was more peaceful and removed from the crowds, and offered ample time for rest and relaxation at the condo, pool and beach. The Alexander was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, the condo was immaculately clean and so spacious. The living room is large and perfectly arranged for everyone to gather and chat in, and the views are incredible. The decor is very fun and colorful, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals and snacks, and we loved watching the sunset light on both the intercoastal and the beach in the evening (this property offers such a unique view in that respect). The beach outside the Alexander is wonderful, calm and quite lovely. We also sat and dined poolside, and greatly enjoyed both the food and drinks at the hotel. I really can't say enough about how wonderful Mr. Honigsfeld was in helping me book the property, and providing all the information we needed for our stay. The staff at the Alexander are very courteous and kind, and have high respect for Mr. Honigsfeld. I have already recommended this property to several friends, and as my husband and I are moving to Miami this fall, we will definitely book another stay when we need a beach get-away when guests come to visit!

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. Our only issue is that the elevators werent working properly.... and it sometimes took 10 minutes to get an elevator. The apartment was nice and clean and very spaceous. And room service did a very good job.

My family and I stayed at the Alexander Resort and we had a fabulous time. Not only was the apartment comfortable and nice, but it was equipped with all the amenities we are used to having at our home. I have rented the apartment on several occasions from the same owner (Mr. Mark Honigsfeld), who is very accommodating and very fair with his rental prices. The location of the Resort is very convenient and the views from the apartments are spectacular. I highly recommend the Alexander Resort for your future travels to the Miami area.

Lovely, apartment with access to beach and pool... Comfortable beds, and living space... Had all kitchen items was missing a wine cork... no need to worry I left one behind...Enjoy a glass of vino and sit out on the deck.... Owner was spot on to make my stay enjoyable... Great communication... Lovely.....

We stayed for a Friday-Monday trip and wish we had more time. The apartment was perfect for our party of 6. There was plenty of space and had no problems at all. The valet services were very quick. It was disappointing the lounge chairs weren't free but that is not the fault of the apartment owner. They did have beach chairs and things available to us in the closet. We will definitely keep this apartment in mind for future trips!

Owner response: Thanks for this review. There are free lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels for our guests at the 2 swimming pools. The beach (private) has a concessionaire which does require rentals, which are not outrageous, i think $5 per day per lounge chair, although you can bring your own and therefore we have supplied each unit with 2 beach chairs and an umbrella in the front hall closet. We went to Miami Beach for a 4 night getaway to celebrate 2 50th birthdays. It was a girls weekend away. The apartment was absolutely perfect. The pictures acurately reflect the beauty of this apartment. There was plenty of room for 4 of us and could easily sleep 7. The property amenities were fantastic, 2 pools, poolside bar and restaurant, beach access. All the people working there were extremely friendly and helpful. I would hightly recommend this apartment and property to anyway that is looking for a great location, clean facilities, relaxing atmosphere but close to all the South Beach restaurants and shops. We cant wait to go back.

The apartment was so clean, spacious & comfortable and felt like we were at home. With two huge bedrooms and a spacious lounge/ dining/kitchen, there was more than enough space for the four of us. Would be the perfect place for a family or a group of friends to stay. We definitely highly recommend this apartment as a great value for money and fantastic friendly service. Would not hesitate to point family and friends in this direction :)

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Alexander in Miami in our two bedroom suite. Clean and well furnished and fully equipped with kitchen appliances and glass ware. Shulla's restaurant and cocktail lounge down stairs adds an excellent amenity, not to mention the pool, suana, excercise facility and pool bar/restaurant. The secure gate adds beach access. Enjoy!

Our stay at this condo, was more than we could have hoped for! The condo was clean and beautifully decorated as shown in the pictures. The deck was our favorite place to hang as the views are just magnificent! The services were great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The only item I can think of that could be improved would be to add covers for the pots and pans. We also couldn't find a baking pan. We WERE disappointed though to find out that the umbrellas and lounges on the beach were not free for use. We rented a car, so had a wonderful time exploring Miami. The Art Deco district was our favorite along with the Bayside Marketplace. Thanks for giving us a great "home" for our honeymoon!

We had a wonderful stay-the condo was just right for for our family-provided us with clean comfortable accomidations for a famiy of 6 -we really enjoyed the access to the pools, workout facility, and beach. The property owner and the staff at the Alexander were proffessional and helpful-We would be thrilled to stay there again in the future.

good location, good service real estate, expensive for what it offers the department, poor equipment in the kitchen, poor everything is very old. Beach service is not good. very expensive everything

Great beach vacation!

The unit was as it was described in the listing; it was a huge condo and was very comfortable for our family of four. There were 3 flat screen TVs and a huge balcony with a partial ocean view. Prior to arriving, the owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with and the transaction went very smoothly. When we arrived, the parking and check-in were quick and easy and everything functioned just as he described. The bed linens were clean and the beds were made just like a hotel. The beds were comfortable and no bedbugs, of which I'm deathly afraid. The bathrooms had plenty of nice clean towels and enough good-quality toiletries to get all four of us through the entire week. The hotel valets were excellent and always had our car ready by the time we got downstairs. The pools were wonderful and I love that they had areas in the shade. The beach was absolutely beautiful. The hotel was very family friendly. The unit could have been cleaned a bit better, especially the kitchen. For example, there were some crumbs in the kitchen drawers. This is the responsibility of the hotel, not the owner, so should not be taken as a reflection of the owner. Also the towels available down by the pool (not the ones in the unit) were kind of dingy and threadbare. They gave me the creeps, so I borrowed some beach towels for the week. Again, not the responsibility of the unit owner. The only critiques I have relative to the unit itself are that a) the kitchen could have been better stocked (e.g. we couldn't find a pot with a lid that fit for boiling pasta, the dishes and silverware were a mishmash, etc) and b) a broom and dustpan in the unit would be nice, especially since tracking sand into the unit is inevitable when you're right on the beach. All of these are small compared to how comfortable we were and the fact that we were right on the beach. I would definitely recommend this unit to others who want to vacation on Miami Beach. As for nearby activities, we were only interested in the beach, but we did sneak to Lincoln Road, an outdoor pedestrian mall with shops, restaurants, bars and lounges. This is about a 5-7 minute ride by car. It's a great taste of South Beach. We enjoyed tropical drinks and people watching at an outdoor lounge. If you don't have a car, I'm told there is a free transportation service in Miami Beach that you can call 24/7.

We had great views, beach is about 30 steps away from pool. Condo is very nice,spacious,clean and comfortable. You dont have to worry about checking in or out. Manager is very professional and always responds to your emails. Over all we had a great experience at this place and would recomend it to any body who is looking for a great place to stay

We had an awesome time on our yearly girls trip. We went straight to our room without the hassle of check in. The room was beautiful and spacious. The views from the front and back were awesome. The staff was very friendly and so helpful. The pools were gorgeous and we were right on the beach. The food & drinks were great. The property was well maintained. I highly recommend. Words just don't do adequate justice! Loved it!

This is a beautiful, very compfortable apartment with great views. It is exceptionally clean and has everything in it that you could possible need to enjoy your vacation. Great closet space too. My husband and I and our 5 children would certainly want to stay there again.

Our family of 7 had a fantastic time on the 9th floor rental from this vendor. The apartment was very well located nicely finished and furnished. There was plenty of space for us and our belongings. Washer/dryer in the apartment was a big bonus. The balcony was large and had a wonderful view. Our family tended to congregate there when we didn't have the inclination to go down to the beautifully landscaped pool area, or the beach. The building is well kept and the staff are helpful. The vendor was a pleasure to deal with.

Just what we were looking for - a gorgeous spacious 2 bedroom apartment, beautifully furnished, with a full kitchen. the building has all the amenities. the location can't be beat. all in all, it was the perfect vacation spot for us. we recommend it very highly - top notch!

great luxury boutique hotel - apartment was updated and furnished beautifully. internet acces, cable. great views of both the ocean and the bay. large 2 bedrooms, dinnig area andentertaining area. pool area is like being at a 5 star resort - walk right out to the beach. your car wil be waitign for you when you call down to the attendent.
