GLEN LAKE GUEST HOUSE is a mini-resort for up to 6 adults (age 18+) and is located in Northwest Michigan's Leelanau County, 3 miles from the village of Glen Arbor in the midst of the Sleeping Bear National Park. The Guest House is a well appointed home that provides luxurious accommodations to the discriminating traveler, designed in a French Country Cottage style and includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and comes with your own personal swimming pool and jacuzzi. Sleep on high thread count sheets in the bedrooms where cable television is available including your own DVD player. All linens are provided including robes and beach towels for swimming and all paper products are supplied. Complimentary coffee and tea is also included.
Amenities include central air conditioning, a gas fireplace and cable television with DVD player in the Great Room. An office area provides Wi-Fi network and a desk. The laundry room is equipped with a brand new washer/dryer in 2011, a clothes steamer, ironing board and is fully stocked with laundry supplies for your convenience. An outdoor gas grill (also new in 2011) is provided.
The garden is where your personal pool and jacuzzi are located. The pool is a well designed 52" deep above ground pool that allows you complete privacy. The water level deck comes complete with lounge chairs and pool floats and a staircase into the water. The jacuzzi has it's own place in the garden and is a small, intimate 4 person jacuzzi. Daily maintenance of pool and jacuzzi is provided by the on-site Innkeeper. Finally, in the garden, you will find a lovely sitting room for reading or meditation.
Rentals can be arranged for any number of nights to accommodate your needs while visiting Leelanau County. The months of June, July and August require a 2 night minimum stay and the weekly rentals offer the best rates.
Glen Lake Guest House is NOT LOCATED ON THE WATER, but offers you your own personal swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi. Sleeping Bear Bay (Lake Michigan) public access and Old Settler's Park (Big Glen public access) are nearby. The amenities are first class.
Activities of your choice abound ... be it a National Park visit, village shopping, the peninsula's numerous wineries, art galleries, a day of golf, charter fishing, numerous festivals, a scenic historic drive or a nature walk ... OR ... stay at the Guest House and enjoy the pool and jacuzzi followed by a fine dining experience at one of our local restaurants. Watch the sunset over Sleeping Bear Bay during summer months and return to the Guest House for an outdoor campfire. A day full of activities, or a quiet day at the Guest House. It's your choice!
