This bright, cozy North Berkeley home makes a great base for exploring San Francisco and the East Bay--the city itself, Golden Gate Park, local beaches, wine country, and more. We're close to services, stores, and public transportation, so you don't even need a car to stay in our house.

Our lovely 1550 sq. ft. home, built in 1924, sits in a quiet residential neighborhood. The house has oak floors, cozy couches and carpets, many intact original features, and an oak dining table that seats up to 10 or 12. The downstairs includes a full kitchen, living room, dining room, office, full bath with bathtub/shower and den with comfy queen pull-out and 42" flat screen TV.

The upstairs has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a twin, and a full bath with shower. Out back is a roomy deck, stone patio, and landscaped backyard with tables, chairs, recliners, and a big swing hanging from our 100-year-old native oak tree.

The house is just four blocks from Solano Avenue, a mile-long stretch of shops, spas, two movie theaters, video stores, grocery stores (one is just five blocks from our house) and about 75 restaurants. Catch a local bus just three doors away or BART 1 mile away (accessible by bus).

Downtown San Francisco is 30 minutes away by BART or car. UC Berkeley is just two miles to the south.

Two friendly cats live in our home, and we ask our renters to feed them twice a day. We can make other arrangements for their feeding if you aren't able to do that.
