OUTDOORS
The property is large enough to accommodate parking for RV's and boats. For the nature lover, delight in fishing from the property's large waterfront seawall. Experience wildlife catching a glimpse of an occasional dolphin, jumping mullet or foraging manatee from your own backyard. Birds of all kinds, including nesting Osprey, make this their home. There are several boat launches within 10 minutes of the house. Boat, kayak and canoe rentals are available nearby.
KITCHEN & DINING ROOM HIGHLIGHTS
The galley kitchen is fully furnished with a new frost free refrigerator, electric stove, and tile floors. The horseshoe shaped counter also sports 2 bar stools for additional seating. The dining area includes a solid oak table and chairs on a newly refinished tongue and groove yellow pine wood floor.
SUN ROOM
This large sunny west room is facing the canal and features a futon sofa which opens to a full size bed, closet, ceiling fans, track lighting, and built in wet bar. Enjoy meals at the Bistro table while wildlife entertains you through a 5 X 9 foot picture window overlooking the canal. Sip refreshments from the wet bar as the sun sets into the Gulf of Mexico.
MASTER BEDROOM & BATHROOM HIGHLIGHTS
This refurbished canal view master bedroom features a full size bed, ceiling fan and tile floor. The master bathroom has a full size tub with shower, granite top vanity sink, and linen closet. An additional closet houses a full size washing machine and dryer. This bathroom is accessible from the rest of the house via a second door.
GUEST BEDROOM & BATHROOM HIGHLIGHTS
This east bedroom includes 2 twin beds with ceiling fan. The second bathroom includes a walk-in shower, vanity and newly tiled floor. A closet in this room houses the air handler providing central air conditioning and heat.
LIVING ROOM
Curl up with a good book in this room featuring a wood burning fireplace. Plenty of wood beside the outside shed. Enjoy the entertainment center with a 32" LCD TV, DVD, CD Yamaha stereo home theater system.
LOCATION
The property's canal is on the spring fed Mud River just 10 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. Travel 10 minutes east for the Weeki Wachee Attraction & Water Park. The nationally known spring fed Weeki Wachee River is crystal clear. You can boat, kayak, canoe, tube, and swim. Locally there are 3 public parks within 10 minutes providing boat launches, parking, toilet facilities and additional features.
Bayport Park: On the Gulf - Pier, board walk, picnic tables, and snack bar
Rogers Park: Weeki Wachee River - Swimming area, play ground, volley ball net, 2 restaurants, plus boat, kayak and canoe rentals nearby.
Jenkins Creek Park: Saltwater marshlands - fishing pier, picnic tables, and a look out tower.
There are 5 golf courses within 20 minutes. Enjoy Homosassa Springs River with its marvelous zoo.
See the under water viewing of the spring with native fish and year round Manatee just 21 miles north. Tarpons Springs was established by a Greek culture which features the sponge industry, shops, and great Greek food and folk lore is 30 minutes south. Tampa is just 1 hour 10 minutes away with Busch Gardens, Tampa International Airport, museums, zoos, Raymond James Stadium (home of the "Bucs") and live theater. Only 1 hour 30 minutes away don't forget to make plans to visit Orlando for the Disney World attractions, Sea World, and Universal Studios.

Our review from each of us -- Phil: The place is in a perfect spot. Quiet, picturesque now that I'm gone, I see that a lot of my thoughts have something to do with the place. Having stood here, looked there. We only spent a week, but it feels like a year. And ages since. I miss my time there. Every late September will feel different now. Well furnished, clean, relaxing environment - convenient location- two grocery story stores a few miles down the road Beautiful mornings. Laura For people who love to cook ( lots of cooking and grill tools) and unwind by being at home this is it...nice recent paint and tile work choices :) Extremely quiet neighborhood- right down the street form Weeki Wachee and 20 miles from Homosassa Springs and close to Tarpon Springs. Old fashioned swimming hole down the street- great area for walks bring . Right on canal you can watch the wildlife -great for Photographers. Gorgeous woods. We look forward to coming back felt like home right away was a great price! We miss the house!

I would go back again and again. Non-tourist area, sweet cottage on canal leading out to the Mud River for some great fishing.

Bruce and Marcia, I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how pleased we are with the house. When we arrived here late Saturday night, we were indeed very weary travelers. We are all so pleased with how clean and nice the house is. We love all of the art work that you have here. We just noticed yesterday that you have a painting of a spoonbill bird that we saw yesterday at Homasassa! The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is very well stocked, you even provided shampoo (which I had forgotten to pack). It is also so convenient to be connected to the wireless network so that we can mapquest and check our emails. Again, thank you so very much for renting to us. Sincerely, Ashley
