  We stayed for a week, really enjoyed their heated pool and at night, sat on their huge porches as the weather was so nice. This was our second stay at this cabin because it holds so many people with 9 bedrooms. It makes for a great reunion with our high school friends from 20 years ago! It looks so much cleaner and brighter as the owners told us they put in new floors and furniture and even planed the walls this last year. They did a great job. I did check around on prices for a week,and one company was more than double the price. I'd recommend this cabin for any large group. The whole resort is private and lots of room too play catch or corn hole or whatever.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities.

  First for the good...kitchen stocked wonderfully. Lots of big pots & pans! Now for the bad...when we turned the stove on...it smelled like a dead rat may have been behind but we could not find anything. The only heat in the main floor bedrooms were electric heaters - very cold if you didn't run the heaters 24/7 (needs insulation around doors & windows!!). Each time we tried to blow dry hair it would throw a breaker causing the power to go off. We spent a lot of time running to the breaker box. Someone came imediately when called but since it was the weekend...couldn't really do anything but run exention cords from one side of the cabin to another. The cabin also needed a good cleaning. Carpet needed vacuuming at baseboards where dust had collected. The cabin has a lot of potential and could be great with a few updates & elbow grease. One issue we found was having the pool table above the sitting area could cause serious injury since there is nothing to keep the pool balls from falling to room below. That should be a concern, especially when youth & children are playing. Might work better to be moved to lowest floor. Other places we have rented in the past years had a Christmas tree set up - none here - little disappointed since we were there for our Extended Family Christmas. We didn't know until we got there that we were expected to wash & dry all towels used. That took us half the night since there were so many of us. We had a great time, and made the best of the cabin but would not recommend unless improvements were made.

  Owner response: The small ceramic heaters are available for supplemental heat to be placed in the bedrooms and bathrooms if the guests want them. The unit has 9 tons of HVAC, plus 2 fireplaces. The breaker apparently went bad but not able to get it replaced late at night, thus the 2 extension cords were used as a temporary measure. The pool table is located in the loft area, as is about half the cabins in our area. Have spoken to the cleaning crew concerning the other complaint.

  My family and I rented the Bunny Nest last summer. This cabin is very large and we had plenty of room for the 14 of us. What we enjoyed the most was having the pool just a few feet from the cabin. We would cookout at night in the pavilion or just play cards on the back porch. We having been coming to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area for many years, mostly renting cabins. After searching the internet for days for just the 'right' place, we now have found the perfect cabin for our large group. We will definitely be back! The only negative thing I can think of is that a couple of the showers are kinda small. M.K. Acworth, GA.

  I had decided to do a mini family reunion in Pigeon Forge TN. I needed at least 5 bedrooms and I quickly found that this was going to be a financial challenge. I simply could not afford some of the rates that I came across. After weeks of looking I found this and I was like WOW this looks great. I called the gentleman that owns this "resort" and he was friendly and very accomodating. I will admit I was somewhat worried about the cabin not meeting my expectations once I arrived, however, it EXCEEDED them. This cabin is absolutely beautiful, the decorations and the warm friendly atmoshphere there was such a pleasant experience for my family and I. We stayed for 4 nights, there were 7 adults and 3 kids and still tons of room. I reccomend this to anyone that has need of a larger cabin. The accomodations and price cannot be beat, Oh yeah and the hot tub is fabulous. S. C. Beckley, W.V.

  Stan & Debbie, Sorry this has taken so long to get over to you, but I wanted to thank you both for the vacation experience we had out at the Backhome Log Cabins.Knowing that our family reunion has not happened in 10 years, it was a great relief to have a place as nice as yours to spend our family vacation together.The cabins were perfect for our set up, clean to live in, and the space in the Bunny Nest was great for get togethers.The private pool was such a relief during those hot days and the kids really enjoyed themselves swimming each and every day.A special thank you for setting up our last night together with the Warrens, as Steve was a big hit for the family and really made an impression on some of the younger ones that are still singing his songs.I know that for our reunions we like to choose different locations for each get together, but your place was tops and one that if we don’t all make it out there together will be a place I at least come back to with my family and wife to enjoy.Keep up the great work out there, and I will spread the good word on your rentals and hope to see you again soon.
