We very much enjoyed the stone cottage! Very impressive craftsmanship and attention to detail. It felt like a home away from home. We love the Ithaca region and will be back someday.

We have loved staying at the Stone Cottage and the Apartment over the past four years of our daughter's undergraduate time at Cornell. Many happy winter, fall and spring memories . . . We have so enjoyed the artistic work (and work in progress) of Nancy and Buzz. We appreciate their kind hospitality and their sharing this beautiful spot.

We were SO excited to spend our first anniversary here! This quiet cottage fit everything we were looking for. We had a great time exploring Ithaca, taking in the scenery and slowing down for a little while. Thanks for giving us this place to reconnect and refocus on our commitment to one another- we will never forget it. Looking forward to the challenge of trying to top this next year : )

We really enjoyed Ithaca and the Stone Quarry House! Loved having the fire going and relaxing in the Jacuzzi tub - truly an amazing weekend, perfect for our third anniversary. There is so much to do here- the Commons, hiking (Buttermilk Falls gorge trail is a must!) Wineries and great restaurants . . . but relaxing at this perfect little cottage every evening was definitely the best part.

We and our dogs had a wonderful time here at the cottage and Ithaca. A vacation had been a long time coming, and our stay here along with the friendliness and beauty of the area will certainly make us come back for more. Loved, loved, loved it here. Wonderful memories!!

From the moment we pulled into the drive at Stone Quarry House and the automatic gate swung open, we were captivated. The geese and ducks on the pond, the little beaver who was trying to make the pond his home, the dogs the chickens the cat... all greeted us as if we had come home. Nancy was absolutely a lovely hostess, taking us to the cottage and going over the basics of how to work the fireplace, the jacuzzi tub, where to dine. Then she did the most wonderful thing... she left us alone the rest of the weekend! The cottage was so cozy and inviting at night with the lighting and fireplace. The jacuzzi tub was fabulous, I was afraid there wouldn't be enough hot water to fill it, but it was more than enough. The kitchenette was more than adequate for our needs and I loved using the little egg cooker with the fresh eggs Nancy graciously gave to us. The sun streaming in the cottage during the day was so nice and the tempurpedic mattress I loved. Ithaca has a lovely shopping area downtown called The Commons with neat shops and restaurants. Kilpatricks Pub was a really good choice for us. Good beer and Irish comfort food. We will definitely come back this summer Nancy!

We simply wanted a nearby getaway to celebrate 28 years of marriage, instead when we arrived at your cottage, we were transported to a faraway, romantic, secluded retreat. Three wonderful nights of sitting by the fire, reading, playing Trivial Pursuit, and enjoying our dogs, ending with 14 inches of snow right up to the door.

Happy New Year! What a wonderful stay we had! Everything here is so soft . . . soft sheets, pillows, bed, towels, and even the water. The water was Steven's favorite part. We always enjoy visiting Ithaca, but his visit was exceptional, mainly due to the luxurious living conditions. May the new year bring love, light, and inspiration to your lives. These grounds are truly beautiful. We loved the chicks and rooster! Thank you Namaste

After nearly four long years of being apart, we saw each other for the first time on a snowy night right outside the gates of the stone cottage. This cottage was the perfect spot to reconnect after so much time. The memories we created here will last a lifetime. This is just the beginning . . . Thank you for creating such a beautiful atmosphere!

My wife and I absolutely LOVED the cottage and Ithaca. We are planning to return for a full weekend as soon as possible. Maybe in the fall, but next spring for sure. The cottage was wonderful and clean and just a perfect spot for us to get away. We were only there for 24 hours, but it felt like a few days. Thanks for allowing us to come early and stay late. We've been telling our friends about your place and the city. We had some of the best meals in Ithaca we can ever remember having. And the cappuccino's from Gimmie Coffee were excellent. One question we had for you - what type of bed, pillows and bedding do you have in the cottage? That bed was incredibly comfortable. It was horrible going to the Radisson in Utica after sleeping in your cottage. LOL.We'd like to look into getting a bed like that for our home. Thanks again, and we'll definitely be back!!

We daydreamed about building a pretty, well-made stone house and filling it with pretty, well-made things. We'd surround the place with gardens, and have chickens and a duck pond. Where did we get these ideas? Your place is a dream - Thanks -

We drove down from Toronto with the blizzard on our tails. It finally caught us in Syracuse. Nancy and Buzz talked us in, made us feel at home, welcomed us with home-made goodies. It was well worth the six and a half hours in the car. We'll be back! Thanks for everything. You were - literally! - our port in a storm. What a happy, warm, enchanting place.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your lovely apartment. Sasha, Scott, and I had a wonderful time. Our dog, Sasha, especially liked hiking though Buttermilk Falls. I have missed the Farmer's Market for the years since I have left Ithaca. It was perfect being able to bring home our purchases and make a delicious meal of it. Thank you again and we will definitely be back in the future.

We stopped in for a night on our (honeymoon) trip from NYC to Niagara. Couldn't have been more perfect. Picked up wine and cheese in town and then spent hours in front of the fireplace, playing UNO and 20 Questions and discussing the future of indie rock music. How romantic. We will definitely be back for longer next time.

The Stone Quarry Cottage is a very beautiful hillside retreat very close to Cornell and Ithaca College, as well as several state parks. What we found was exactly what had been described in their HomeAway posting and website, in terms of the features and amenities of the cottage. Their home address is not on any of the sites but can easily be found through Google. The whole compound where the cottage is located is well-laid out. The cottage is in the rear of the property which is great for privacy. The whole compound and cottage was clean and well-maintained. We especially loved that the owners are environmentally conscious and had placed amenities for recycling. They also have environmentally friendly products in the bathroom and cupboard. Little things such as wine glasses and a bottle opener are available as well as big things such as a working fireplace (wood and matches provided) and a jacuzzi.

It was so relaxing staying here this weekend for my newlywed husband and me. We both enjoyed the fireplace, the Jacuzzi, and I personally loved the airy open design of the cottage. Scotty loved the stonework and woodwork - very beautiful and well-done. Thank you for your help with directions and the extra blanket. We would love to come back soon , maybe for our first year anniversary.

Time flies but memories last forever. Five years ago we first stayed at your home for our daughter's first day of college life. Now five years later we return to celebrate her graduation as an architect. Your home and apartment seem more beautiful than ever; the quietness, the comfort, the space are perfect for any celebration and most important for us, the graduation of our oldest daughter. We'll remember your hospitality and your home forever. Thanks, Nancy

Beautiful cottage and setting, and appreciated very much the stonework all around - much like the stonework at Bailey and Ho Plazas on campus (our daughter was an intern at PVC). Cottage elegant in its simplicity with the craft (and styles) - and surrounded by friendly chickens and cat. Refreshing. Thanks!
