Gated front courtyard is a tranquil oasis ideal for morning coffee alongside a gently overflowing water feature. Backyard has two covered patios, a large pool with four fountains plus a spa, and a stainless-steel built-in BBQ, all surrounded by a mature 10-foot ficus hedge.
Art-filled, colorful main house sleeps up to six in three bedrooms, each with a full bath; the detached casita has a full bath and can sleep two. Luxurious master suite with king-sized bed overlooks the pool, and the master bath has a walk-in shower, two sink areas and a Jacuzzi tub.
Large, well-equipped center-island kitchen features stainless-steel appliances, six-burner gas stove, dark wood cabinets and granite countertops. Through the butler’s pantry is the dining room, with 18-foot ceilings, flowing silk curtains, a wall of French doors and Arte de Mexico chandelier and sconces. Living room with a wet bar overlooks the pool and gardens. Built-in stereo speakers throughout the house and yard. Dogs are OK (goldfish, too!), but no cats, please.
Nearby shopping includes The River (Rancho Mirage), El Paseo (Palm Desert) and Palm Canyon Drive (Palm Springs), each with a variety of stores and art galleries. Children will enjoy the Living Desert, Knott’s Soak City and the Children’s Discovery Museum, while adults will enjoy the spas at the desert’s many resorts. World-class golf and tennis are within the gates of Mission Hills. Many other attractions and restaurant options too numerous to list.
