Delightful quintessential Maine cottage with drop dead gorgeous views from every room! Wake up to the spectacular changing views of the ocean in this 4 bedroom and 3 full bath cottage. Delightful "open" floor plan with charming kitchen with open cupboards yet the conveniences of a dishwasher & modern appliances. Large dining area overlooking living room with massive stone fireplace & separate cozy reading nook.
This home includes 2 master bedrooms, the master down has vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, built-in desk,television, great closets, sitting area & private bath. This bedroom has a queen size bed & is well appointed for your comfort.
The second master suite upstairs has vaulted ceilings, large sitting area,Television, terrific closets & hall bath. This bedroom has a king size bed & is very comfortable and well appointed as well. Bedroom 3 has twin beds & bedroom 4 a double bed.
There is a fabulous large deck with built-in seating across back of home with unobstructed ocean views as well as steps down to the lower deck which sits on the rocks directly above the ocean! Abundant perinnial gardens adorn the property.
Unlike many Maine cottages, ours is fully equipped with many amenities including gas grill on patio for outdoor barbeques, microwave, dishwasher, stove, washer & dryer, TV/VCR/DVD. All living areas as well as master bedrooms have astounding views to the bold open ocean & sliding doors for easy access to the deck.
Although you will feel in a different world, the cottage is only 5 minutes from town. The Camden area offers charming shopping, wonderful art galleries, terrific restaurants & one of the most picturesque harbors in Maine filled with schooners, luxury yachts & fishing boats!
This cottage is perfect for 2 couples or a small family. It may not be suitable for very young families....

This was our first trip to Maine, and we could not have found a more tantalizing introduction! The Cottage located on Penobscot Bay set the scene for all we had imagined. . . an area full of culinary delights (lobster rolls! fried clams!), local flavor and small town charm, hikes on hills to view the coastline, sunset cruise on a schooner, even yoga classes at the community center. We never tired of visiting the Camden library or the amazing market on main street. . . then back to our piece of paradise (the deck of The Cottage) for happy hour every evening. We started over again the next morning, on the deck with coffee watching the lobster boats pull up their nets. Everything to the smallest detail was covered by our hosts. We found our accommodations perfectly suited for having guests join us a few days, as they had their own private suite on the main floor while we stayed upstairs (for the windows and view!) The VRBO listing does a great job, yet cannot capture the essence of The Cottage because the grounds and the view are just so spectacular. We took hundreds of photographs that became a coffee table book in Texas! If ever we left our hearts at a VRBO property, this was it! My husband and I have 2 couples of friends who travel with us once a year as a group. We have been all over the place and usually use VRBO to select rentals. This is one of the best properties we have stayed in. It is a lovely house, well appointed and most comfortable with fabulous gardens and views of the water. I was an interior designer for 20 years and was very impressed with furnishings and decor! The location right outside of Camden is excellent. The owner is great about pointing out things to see and do in the area and being helpful with any and all information. We loved our stay there and plan to go back for years to come. We give it a 10 out of a possible 10!!!!!!!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

For the second year in a row, we spent a week at this Ocean Front Cotttage with our close friends and enjoyed every minute. It is secluded yet close to downtown Camden and all it has to offer and a easy drive to Freeport or Bar Harbor. We found flying into Portland the best route for both selection and prices. The home is very comfortable and the bedrooms are nicely appointed with very comfortable mattresses. The best thing is the location, filled with wild life and birds and the view of the bay and the lobster boats that pull their traps directly behind the house, a true Maine experience. Cool summer nights with a warm wood burning fire is the perfect end to a day of dining ,shopping or sight seeing. It trulry like being in your own home in Maine.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
