Located just cross the street from the Seal Rocks you are a short walk from the beach where the tide pools, during low tide are magnificent. The sea life is so abundant in this area that the biologists from the Hatfield Marine Science Center come here to collect their specimens. The seals love to sun themselves here on the rocks; binoculars and a spotting scope are available for your convenience.

Although our visit was short, we loved every minute! From relaxing in the hot tub to the sounds of the ocean, Gullhouse is the perfect getaway spot. The walk down to the beach was quite an adventure at night. :) It was a lot easier in the daylight. The fog & hazy skies made for some beautiful photos. We will definitely be back - hopefully for a longer stay.

We've been watching a whale through the binoculars over our breakfast. So Cool! We visited the Sppouting Horn, Heceta Lighthouse, Oregon Aquarium, sea lions on docks in Newport, about 6 state parks, hiked down the Cape Perpetual trail... The best part is that this was the most relaxing week we've had together in 15 years.

Our return to Gullhouse has provided us with another chapter of fond memories. The home is so comfy, with amenities surpassing what we even remembered from last year. The telescope is a nice addition, the wireless fantastic for a 14 year old, the nautical decor charming as ever. We enjoyed the deck, the hot tub, and of course the view. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home! We loved sitting out on the porch watchin and listening to the seals. We also found a lot of enjoyment from your board games and movies. Our best day spent here was on the beach at Otter Rock. This vacation was great! Such a wonderful time to get away from the hustle and bustle and have some very much needed R&R. This is our second year returning to the Gullhouse & it will not be our last. We revisited the Oregon Aquarium, but other than that, we watched tv and hung out at the beach. We were invited to a glass blowing shop after hours to watch how glass was made, that was fun & a total fluke that it happened. Now we are really interested in taking a class or two! Overall great experience. Dinner at Georgies was just as yummy as last year. Thank you so much for everything! -July 2009
