COZY HISTORIC "TREE HOUSE" FOR COMFORT, CONVENIENCE AND FUN
Go anywhere from here fulfill most of your needs, all without driving a car.
1. Mountain tram takes you to town, to both major ski slopes, and to most anywhere else you want to go.
2. Hungary? One of Big Bear's most popular restaurants is across the street.
3. Forget to bring something? Boulder Bay market is just across the street.
4. Hiking? Snow Shoeing? The forest beckons further up Brier Trail.
5. Going fishing? The lake and fishing are steps away, in Boulder Bay Park.
From your perch in the "TREE HOUSE" you have a birds eye view of the lake, unique privacy, and a close up perspective on nature's winter wonderland, including a collection of monster boulder's. For me it almost feels like being in a castle of old, secluded by a protective moat- the fenced area below. We have a gated area for our four legged friends.
The charm of history has been maintained even while providing updates to enhance the cabins convenience and efficiency for your stay. It boosts new insulation for warmth: new carpet and new flooring; new tub/shower in which to luxuriate; new well supplied kitchen; and double-paned windows for watching the antics of forest neighbors such as the birds and squirrels.
A wood stove adds warmth and romance to the living room. There you can enjoy cable TV, complete with movie channels. Tongue and groove pine walls, comfortable sofas (one is a queen sofa) and a big easy chair and ottoman make this room a center of activity.
Upstairs, a spacious loft bedroom contains a comfy queen bed and a day bed with a pop up. A washer/dryer is available downstairs. A dinning room with 6 chairs is located in the kitchen area perfect for dinning or games. It is also home to one of my favorite pieces a hutch from the early days in the City of Big Bear Lake
Outside is a wrap around porch that has a BBQ and outdoor furniture for sitting in the sun and just enjoying your day.
We also have a three bedroom plus loft/3 bath rental.
