We are so happy we decided to try this condo. Shelly is the best, so helpful with any questions you might have. We even heard it from the staff. Their unit is very, very comfortable and so nicely furnished. Having the washer and dryer helps alot. The pictures surely don't lie, it is every bit as nice as it seems. We were always given fresh towels and housekeeping was outstanding. The property is very well maintained, and has nice landscaping. The pool area is large with tons of seating and nice big tables. I like the shade they provide around the beach. The grocery store, Foster's, is so nice and close too. We were recommended a couple of restaurants that are at that end that we enjoyed, Al Fresco and Timbuctuu. They both do take out as well. I would definetly recommend this property. We certainly will be back again.

Shelley, the owner of the property, is very prompt & thorough with her emails & information. This reflects upon her house in DPC too. My husband & I were very impressed with her & how she handled all our questions & her prompt responses. We went during ‘off-season’, so Shelley gave us a heads-up of some construction in the next development that was going to take place. We found out that she was very up-front with that information even though we did not ask. However, that did not stop us from renting her unit. Once we got there, and like other reviews have mentioned, the 1st floor unit was literally beachfront! It was breathtaking (both the view & the house). It was easy access to the beach & my kids (9 & 6 yrs) were flabbergasted, to say the least :) The house was very well equipped as we cooked & ate in 4 of the 7 days. Yes, I enjoy to cook so it was a true vacation for me too. I took the bus to Fosters & bought food for us. It was safe & the drivers were friendly & helpful. The pool area was very clean with the bins of water to wash off sand from your feet. There were plenty of cabana’s & as was the shade. The construction next door it did not bother us too much as we were always our & about during the day. We tried Stingray bar, snorkeling, walking in the town watching the cruise crowds & long walks on the beach. Loved the convenience of washer & dryer in the unit too, especially with 2 kids. Ms. Ollie was very informative (just like Shelley), friendly & warm. It was definitely one of the best family vacations we have had! We look forward to going back to Shelley’s place in the near future.

From the minute I inquired about DP, Shelly, the owner, was extremely helpful, so it was an easy decision to stay here. Before our trip, she sent us pages of helpful information which included directions, restaurants, activities, etc. The condo...Being on the ground floor was fantastic. We had easy access to the beach and pool, which is necessary with a 3 year old and 8 year old. The condo itself is lovely. It has been updated and is very comfortable and spacious. Diane, the housekeeper, came in everyday (except Sunday). She was friendly and helpful. Outside of the condo we had easy access to the palapas hut, as shade was necessary midday. The pool deck had some nice large tables with umbrellas. There was plenty of pool floats and sand toys on the property so there is no need to bring any. The entrance into the sea was a mixture of sand and rocks. It was a perfect balance for wading/swimming/snorkeling. The pool area and beach were well maintained. Jorain, sp?, a grounds keeper, gave us a tutorial about coconuts and opened a few up for us to taste. He also made the boys coconut candy, which was delicious. We always ate breakfast and lunch in the condo. We shopped at Kirk's in 7 Mile Beach. It was very expensive but it had all of the food/brands we like. Restaurants we ate at were Pappagallo, which was better the first time we went to Cayman 5 years ago, Ortanique, in Camana Bay, which was excellent, The Cracked Conch, a romantic restaurant on the water, (my mom watched the boys), Luca, in the Caribbean Club, and Eduarodo's. We also did take out from Eats Cafe, which was very reasonably priced. When we went out to explore the island, my boys enjoyed the Pirate Caves and the Blow Holes. We also went to Queen Elizabeth Botanic Park. It had some amazing plants and flowers, but we rushed through it because we were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. If you go, go in the morning and bring lots of bug spray. We did a snorkeling excursion to Stingray sandbar and two other snorkeling sites. We used Captain Brian's. We had a blast. Miss Ollie, the manage at DP, is extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer most questions we had about the island. We had a fantastic trip. Thanks Shelly!

Our family of 4 (2 boys aged 7 and 9) had a wonderful stay in your condo. As everyone has said before, the condo is clean, well-furnished and in an excellent location! Being on the ground floor was so convenient. We loved the beach (which was not crowded at all) and loved the pool too. The staff is very friendly and helpful and Miss Diane does a wonderful job cleaning. We have nothing but rave reviews to give and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. It is also close to many restaurants and the grocery store. My kids loved snorkeling just off shore and they loved looking for the tiny baby hermit crabs! Nobody wanted to go back home!

We had such an amazing week, and really enjoyed the condo! It had everything we needed and the location was perfect. We have three kids, ages 10, 12 and 14 and the bottom floor worked out perfect. The best snorkeling was right outside the door! The island is beautiful and the color of the water was amazing...The condo was the perfect place to hang out...whether in the water or just on the beach!

Shelly, My wife, 3 year old daughter, 1 year old son and myself really enjoyed our stay at your condo. The first floor location is absolutely fabulous as it makes it so much more convenient when coming in from the fantastic stretch of 7 mile beach or from lounging at the pool. The screened in patio was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of joe as the sun came up. My kids enjoyed the beach toys that were available at the condo. The description of the property was excellent and we were met with no surprises. The condo was very clean and Miss Diane kept that way throughout our entire stay, she even brought us over some delicious mangos picked from her trees one day. We really appreicate the tips you provided for us during our stay. We made it out to Starfish Point on our next to last day and that was probably the highlight of my 3 year old's trip! The location of this condo on the quieter end of SMB was exactly what we were looking for. The beach was totally uncrowded and the snorkeling right out front was pretty good with cemetery reef just a short walk or drive down the beach. Location is very convenient to shopping and dining venues. We really enjoyed eating at the Sunshine Grill (fish tacos and snapper sandwich were superb) located at the Sunshine Suites right down the road. Tim Buc Tuu was also another favorite of ours, the tuna ceviche was outstanding as was the lemon/herb grouper. Both of these restaurants were very reasonably priced for Grand Cayman. Picking up chicken and sides from ChickenChicken was also good and convenient. We ate at the Royal Palms one night but were not overly impressed, especially for the price, however the setting is quite nice. We purchased fresh fish from the market on the beach and cooked that up at the condo a couple of nights, hard to beat fresh caught snapper and grouper. All of the staff at Discovery Point were extremely pleasant and helpful. Miss Ollie and Miss AnnRose were great, as was Diane. The entire property is very well maintained and kept very clean. We can't wait to get back down to paradise! Thanks so much!!

This was a wonderful place to stay. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The condo was very nicely decorated and had almost everything that we needed. There was a lovely fruit basket upon our arrival which we appreciated very much. I would put at least enough coffee in the room for one morning so that you didn't have to go to the store first thing, especially for the people arriving in the evening. The beach and pool were great. There were plenty of chairs outside. We had a wonderful vacation in this condo. The owner was very helpful which is very important when you go to Cayman. Great place to stay.

My husband, my two-year-old son, and I enjoyed an awesome trip in Grand Cayman at this condo! It had everything we needed; including beach towels, beach toys, washer/dryer, dishwasher, dishes, extremely comfortable beds, flat screen TVs in each of the rooms, noise machines for at night and spacious showers. The condo is modern, spacious and very luxurious looking. When we arrived it was immaculately clean, and the cleaning staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. They even brought us a yummy fruit basket. The front desk staff was also very helpful and kind. They even offer a free phone to make international calls. They arranged several trips for us free of charge. The snorkeling trip we went on with Captn Marvins was awesome. We got to see the stingray, starfish, and a few snorkel sites. The condo is located on the quieter side of 7MB, making the beach extremely relaxing. You can snorkel right in front of the condo, or you can walk down (or swim) to cemetery reef which is beautiful. We also enjoyed a trip to swim with the dolphins, which offered free admission to hold the turtles at the turtle farm across the street, my son loved both. We didn’t rent a car and were able to get around just fine using the public bus and a taxi from time to time. Shelly was awesome and gave us some tips on where to go and what to see, and was very helpful with answer questions. I have nothing but awesome things to say about my experience at the condo and my trip in general. I would go back in a minute; this has been by far my favorite trip that I have ever taken!!!

Hi Shelly, My husband and I just returned last night from your incredible condo on Seven Mile Beach. The video and photos were very helpful, yet the condo was even more wonderful ! We have stayed in four other condos on other caribbeanI slands, your home is by far five stars! Since I am a Wedding and Special Events Planner, I appreciate the finer things in life and your condo did not disappoint. The office staff couldn't have been more helpful, and Miss Diane went out of her way to keep the condo spotless. I will be referring my clients as well as family and co-workers to your beautiful Caribbean Paridse. Thanks, Elizabeth

The condo is perfectly located - close enough to Georgetown for dining and shopping but far enough away from most of the crowds. It's also close to the grocery store. The snorkeling right in front of the building was excellent. Being on the ground floor was very convenient to go right from the lanai to the beach (the upper floors have to go to the front of the building and then back around to the beach). The condo had everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation.

My husband and I stayed in Shelly's condo for 10 glorious nights in December. I am very happy to report that what you see is exactly what you get. The condo was very well appointed with comfortable furniture and many kitchen tools. The master bedroom even had a sound machine with surf sounds. We quickly developed an addiciton and purchased our own machine when we returned to our land locked home. The condo is on the end, so it was very quiet. Shelly was very helpful in providing directions and suggestions for activities and restaurants via email prior to our arrival. In addition to the actual condo being perfect, the Discovery Point staff could not have been more friendly and helpful during our stay. We'll definitely be returning to Discovery Point and Shelly's condo as soon as we can.

The condo was excellent! Very well described and we got exactly what we thought we would from the pictures and video. Bottom floor was one of our favorite features, making it easy to come and go as we wanted. We all enjoyed everything about the condo from the well appointed rooms to the wonderful kitchen, screened in porch and location near the beach. Miss Ollie and the staff were very helpful and the perfect hosts. Beach was very clean and easy to walk either direction. Snorkeling off of our beach was nice. We hope to come back sometime! Thank you!

Our family of four (kids aged 11 and 7) just returned from a fabulous week in Grand Cayman. The condo was just as advertised; beautifully decorated and well-appointed. Shelly was very responsive and so helpful with providing directions, information and recommendations prior to our stay. Stingray City was the highlight of our trip (we went with Captain Marvin's and also snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Gardens); the kids loved holding the turtles at the turtle farm (but don't go to Boatswains on a Monday when they're understaffed and close some of the attractions for cleaning); we saw seven blue iguanas at the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park; found four starfish at Kaibo Kai (thanks to Shelly's directions and hints); got drenched at the blowhole on the east side (what a rush!); had a blast at the DPC pool which was very warm and clean and had floaties to play on; and snorkeled at Eden Rock (the best), Wreck of the Calli, Cemetary Beach and all around the DPC beach. The unit is ideally located on the ground floor at the end of the property, away from the pool activity. We felt very safe letting our kids play on the beach while we were still inside. The screened-in porch provided a mosquito-free haven for enjoying dinner and sunsets outside. We enjoyed dinners at Sunshine Grill, Coconut Joe's, Rackham's and Chicken! Chicken! (delicious and the best value). We also ate at Royal Palms (aka The Reef) but had bad service and paid a fortune. We highly recommend this property and can't imaging staying anywhere else on Grand Cayman.

Our family of four (2 kids ages 7 and 5) had a fantastic stay in this condo. The condo was exactly like the photos on the website, beautifully decorated with an incredible ocean front view. This was our second time vacationing in the Cayman's. The first time we stayed on the south end of Seven Mile Beach but we preferred this more northern location as it was more secluded and the beach wasn't as rocky. Shelly was so helpful in providing information about the condo/restaurants/activities and incredibly prompt in responding to my many e-mails. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed including dish soap, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent and even sunscreen. We loved the screened-in patio. The mosquitos could be vicious at dusk so it was nice to be able to watch the sunset without getting eaten alive. Diane, our housekeeper, was wonderful. In addition to keeping everything tip-top, she brought us fresh mangos and plums from her own trees - delicious! The grounds were also immaculate. Groundskeepers were out everyday raking the beach, cleaning the pool and bleaching the deck. They even offered to put air in the rafts the kids were using at the pool. We rented a car for the week because we wanted to explore the island. However, the bus system seemed very efficient so we may try that next time and just rent a car for a day or two. The car rental was very expensive and the car was not that nice. We had an unbelievable experience at Dolphin Discovery and would highly recommend going there. The look on our son's face when the dolphin pushed him across the water was priceless. Check out the brochures and coupons in the condo office because we found a coupon for 50% off which made the experience even better. We went to the Turtle Farm the same day b/c the admission is included in the Dolphin Discovery price. Although there isn't much to see there, our kids loved being able to hold the turtles. I don't think it would be worth it though if you had to pay because the admission seemed a little high for what was there. We took a day trip over to Rum Point and had dinner on the beach at Kaibo. Lots of fun for the kids. We took the kids to the Pirate Caves in Bodden Town. Nothing spectacular but probably the highlight of their trip - exploring caves and even spotting some real bats! We had a fun dinner at Macabuca Grill which is behind the Cracked Conch and great meals at Ragazzi's, Casonova's and Neptunes. We can't wait to return!

I have nothing but great things to say regarding our stay in your beautiful condo. It was wonderfully appointed and it truly felt like home...except for the awesome beach only a few feet away! The staff at Discovery Point is exceptional. Ann Rose & Diane were top notch and made us feel welcome. Diane does a wonderful job of keeping the unit clean. And Shelly, (owner of unit) made our reservations a breeze. We especially liked the information she emailed us re: the island, where to eat, things to do, etc. We can't wait to return and will definitely book this unit!

My family of 3 stayed for just under a week during the school spring break. The condo was great - exactly as shown in the photos. Very clean and well maintained. The facility staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the first floor location directly on the beach. Views are spectacular. There is excellent snorkeling right off the beach. In addition to many tropical fish we say say rays and turtles. The location is excellent if you want a quiet and relaxed vacation on the beach. There were 6 cruise ships in port one day. It was nice to watch them come and go but never have to deal with a crowds! Local restaurants are varied and many are very good. We appreciated local insights provided by the owner and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended.

This location (and frankly any of the 5 or 6 condos surrounding Discovery Point) is in a prime spot for families who want a laid back, safe, water-filled vacation. Some folks stay further south on 7 mile so that they can walk to breakfast, book shops and coffee places, but we were turned off by the busy-ness of 7 mile road. I wouldn't want to have to walk along that street or cross that strip several times a day. It's much less busy up by DP, though you do hear traffic by your master suite (parking lot side of the building). But given that we spent most of our time in the LR, screened porch or beach, that wasn't really a problem. This ground floor unit is very nicely appointed, with granite topped counters in kitchen, and very nice LR and DR furnishings. It also benefits from being on the end of the complex so that you have light coming in through side windows, which the other units do not have. Our only minor complaint is that there were things stored in the 2nd bedroom's closet, making it unusable for renters; our teens had to live out of their luggage on the floor by their beds during their week-long stay. The room is quite small so it got a little cramped and crazy for them. All in all it was just what we were looking for, with very nice snorkeling right off the beach. I probably wouldn't choose to go in mid to late December again, based on our weather experience . . . probably would shoot for February to guarantee some good weather.

Do not hesitate to rent this property. We have used VRBO many times in many different locations and this condo with its location, ammenities, cleanliness, ease of rental, etc. would be difficult to beat. Loved being on the ground floor. 8 steps and you're in the sand. The entire complex was well maintained as we enjoyed the pool and hot tub looking out over the ocean. You can't beat a screened-in-porch. You will not be disappointed with this property.

We stayed in this ocndo last October and will go back again. Let's start witht he fabulous ladies at the office -- smiles all the time, helpful and very accommodating. Next the condo -- from the moment we walked in we said "WOW!" The condo is definitely furnished higher end than most condos we've stayed in while visiting the Caymans. I'd say the photos don't do this condo justice as it's very spacious and upscale and the grounds are meticulously maintained. Not only are the furnishings very nice, but there's every item you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. We cooked in several nights and never wanted for utensils or kitchen accessories. The condo was ultra clean and the location is to die for -- end unit and our views of the water were fabulous. We tried to catch sunset every evening at the condo as it was as good as it gets in the Caymans. We have visited 4 prior times (both condos and houses) and this spot is so ideal! Now let me tell you about the owner -- what a neat lady! She was so-o-o helpful with the booking and arranging things for us. We were a little reluctant to go directly to an owner instead of a company for fear something could go wrong. Never let that cross your mind as she has a great working relaitonship with the on-site management folks and I felt things were handled more "personalized" by going through VRBO with this owner. Shelly kept in contact with us to confirm everything and was more than helpful and gracious. Lastly, the Cayman Islands are the best place on earth to visit. Superb restaurants, wonderful, friendly people, feeling of safety, incredible scenery and beaches. Oh, I forgot to mention that we were able to snorkel right off the beach out our door. I mean right out the door and across the fabulous white sand into the blue caribbean! I could hardly get my husband to come out of the water! Stay in this condo and walk, drive or take the bus west (up the main road) for a mile or two and stop in Foster's Grocery for all your needs and a great deli. This was definitely our best trip ever and I thank Shelly for arranging everything to make it so. We will definitely book again in the future!

We stayed here last May for a week and absolutely loved it. I was just looking at the photos and wishing I was back there NOW! The condo is lovely, with an awesome view. We couldn't get over how clean everything was and how nice the on site management was, not to mention how nice the owners were. The owner was willing to help us with our trip, right down to suggesting the food we should bring along to save money. Thank you sharing your condo, and we will be back for sure!

John / Shelly, The condo was beautiful, everything I could have expected and more… it felt like home; all the amenities were first class and the view was spectacular. The snorkeling was excellent just off the property and even better off cemetery beach; the coral reefs were awesome and I saw many varieties of very colorful fish. One afternoon I was snorkeling back from cemetery beach to the condo and I came upon a giant stingray, it had to be at least 4-5 feet in diameter, fortunately it was busy eating something… I decided to walk back to the condo at that point! My wife and daughters loved the condo as well as the snorkeling, not to mention the cabana’s right on the beach outside our door! We spent many long hours just talking and reconnecting; it’s amazing how much more the daughters are willing to hang-out and talk to their parents when their cell phones are left home! We also enjoyed a dolphin swim, turtle farm, the botanical park, and a night-time submarine dive down 110’. Ollie and Anne Rose were wonderful; they had great suggestions for activities and assisted with the reservations we requested. Due to the our schedule, we had to move to a different unit for our last day, and although it was a very nice ground floor unit, it didn’t compare with the quality of the furnishings in your unit. We all agreed it was our best vacation yet; my wife and I even talked about purchasing property in the future. Until then, we know who to call for our next reservation in the Caymans; and I’ll be sure to book it far enough in advance so I don’t have to give up my last night for a step down in quality. My only suggestion: A small flat screen TV in the master bedroom would be great; my daughters enjoyed the one in the 2nd bedroom. Thanks again for everything, I hope to be speaking with you in the fall with some dates for next year!!!

We (my wife and 2 teenagers) stayed here for one week in Mar 2009. All of the pictures and descriptions accurately represent this property. It was clean and in very good condition. The sand was literally 5 steps from the patio and the ocean another 20 steps. Being an end unit and a few yards away from the pool provided a little more privacy and direct access to the ocean. The tennis courts were fine and the road that they are adjacent to is not very busy. A car was necessary to access stores and restaurants a few minutes away but this was more than made up for by the lack of people on the beach.
