We are only 15 min to Nantahala, 10 min to Deep Creek, 15 min to Cherokee, 20 min to the south entrance of the 'Great Smokey Mountain National Park' and the Blue Ridge Parkway. 1 hr drive to Ashville, Gatlinburg, Pidgeon Forge & many other attractions and points of interest.
In the cabin you'll find everything you need with all the comforts of home. Two bedrooms...one with king bed, one with queen. Spacious loft with 2 twin beds and sitting area. Two bathrooms...one upstairs one down. Comfortable family, dining & kitchen area with vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. Game room with pool table, TV with surround sound. My family and I were very pleased with this property. Barbie, the owner was a pleasure to work with. The cabin is very private, clean, well maintained with only a 2 minute drive into the heart of Bryson city. The whole atmosphere was comforting, the beds, the fireplace, everything!!!! We will be back for sure!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Our family vacationed at Knotty Knoll in April and had a wonderful time. The cabin was even prettier than the pictures. Everything was very clean, and the owners were very nice. The cabin had more than enough space for our family of five. Knotty Knoll was just off the main road, and we did not have to travel on steep gravel. That was a huge plus for me!! We enjoyed the train ride while in Bryson City, and traveled into Gatlinburg, TN one day. It was very convenient to town and other surrounding areas. We enjoyed the water falls at Deep Creek. There was so much to do, we could not fit it all in, and cannot wait to go again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Knotty Knoll is a fantastic place to get away from it all. My kids and I had a great time visiting with "grammy" and relaxing watching movies while it snowed. We also made the 45 min drive to Maggie Valley to go snow tubing and again had a great time. Barbi and Greg have provided a wonderful cabin with everything you could think of. The dog even had fun "exploring" the property.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We (two couples), went to the Knotty Knoll and had a very good experience. Barbie is very nice, and makes sure everything goes as smooth as possible for you. The cabin is secluded on the mountain side, but literally only a few minutes from groceries, and the rest of the town. Several hiking trails nearby, which have beautiful waterfalls and mountain scenery. About twenty minutes away is Cherokee, where you can do some touristy shopping and go to Harrahs Casino. It was a very relaxing, enjoyable time. We can't wait to come back some day.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, age 55+, sightseeing.

My wife and I went there for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. The cabin was nice and secluded, just like we wanted, and had a great view of the mountians. The cabin is nicely decorated and had all the amenities we could ask for. Barbie was great to work with and was very responsive. We will be renting this cabin again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

This was our first vacation together as a family for at least 10 years. I am so glad we chose the Smokey Mountains. As we were especially happy we chose Knotty Knoll as our Cabin. From our first e-mail of inquiry, The owner was very nice and friendly and very helpful. And payment was easy and very affordable. The cabin was everything we needed. Clean, quite, cozy and great location. The views were excellent. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. And I know we will be going back to the Great Smokey Mountains and I hope to stay at Knotty Knoll again. We had a great stay up on the Knoll ... This is a wonderful cabin with Spectacular views of the Great Smokey Mountains. It really is just minutes from Bryson City, yet the cabin feels secluded. It was the peak season for the Fall foliage, so every day the colors were more vibrant then the last ... I will never forget watching the fire in the outdoor fire pit, while sitting with my wife in the Hot tub,the Smokey mountains off in the distance! Our best friends John and Jill spent the first weekend with us and it was the best of times! We all took "The Great Smokey Train ride", first class, with dinner to Nantahala ... one more off my wife's bucket list! Barbie, the Owner, could not have been more helpful with everything and we look forward to returning to the Knotty Knoll again in the future. Thank You for a wonderful Week in Western North Carolina! What a wonderful little piece of heaven. Peace and quiet and God's beautiful scenery to gaze upon! The cabin had all the amenities you could think of. It was a wonderful place to kick back, relax and forget about the world for a few days. It 's also near grocery stores, and great sight seeing. Don't forget to ride the Great Smoky Mountain Train! The cabin is clean and homey. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Close to rafting, hiking and tubing for the outdoor enthusiast. Great porch swing, hot tub and view for chillin' out!
