A Kuhn Brothers Log Cabin Retreat, loaded and sleeps 13 plus! All Anderson windows, 4 entry doors, 3 bedroom plus loft, 2 full baths. Gourmet kitchen has granite center island, built in cook top with 5 burners, 2 ovens, stainless steel appliances, one Advantium combination oven/ microwave unit, instant hot unit for hot water, a water softener, washer and dryer. Decorator Furniture is all log cabin theme: Leather coaches, log cabin furniture and bedding. 2 huge decks that each have table and 6 chairs each, and a kitchen table that seats 8 people.
Around the kitchen island, you can sit an additional 5 people. Outside, two large decks have seating for 12 plus people and a large covered outdoor propane grill. Lots to do: Visit the fish hatchery, Tour Truman Dam to see how they make electricity, Tour the Truman Dam Museum, take nature hikes, fish. Rent a pontoon or fishing boat and relax! Grill out on the deck with our huge grill.

- BOAT Rental: Contact State Park Marina (660-438-2423), which is just a few miles from the cabin. They have pontoons and fishing boats for rent, which need to be reserved ahead of time. The Truman Dam is Very Near, and Special Tours Can Be Set up for Viewing This. Truman Museum and Fish Hatchery Are Cool to See. Lots of Fishing. We Have a Fishing Boat We Can Provide for Additional Rental. Lots of Nature Walks and a Wonderful Small Town for Antiquing and Shopping. Some Amish Shops with Unique Food Items. Very Friendly Small Town Atmosphere. Wonderful Place for Motorcycling - Since the Roads Are Not Busy.

My husband is a double award winning builder in the Kansas City area, and he built a log cabin because I have always wanted one! It is spectacular with many decorator touches, and we love it. I love the wood smell. We have many fond memories at the cabin, and encourage you to enjoy the laid back city of Warsaw and the wildlife and fishing. We have lots of bird feeders, hummingbird feeders and squirrels to enjoy as they like to visit the cabin as well. The parking is adequate for 5-6 cars, as we have a big driveway and also alot of gravel on the side.
Why the Owner Chose Warsaw
We built it here because it is only 1.5 hours from Kansas City area, and a fast getaway for us when things get too hectic. Truman Lake is so much more peaceful than Lake of the Ozarks, and no crazy boat drivers. In fact, the water is rarely crowded and it is alot more natural of a setting with wild life, etc. There is land all around the lake that belongs to the Corp of Engineers, so there are no homes and docks on the water, which is more appealing to me. Our home is on a culdesac with a private drive off of it. The lake view is so pretty and it is a great place with very little traffic for the little ones.
