We may not be directly on the beach but we're only 200 steps from it. Our ground floor location makes it easy to grab your gear and go. Cape Canaveral is like a little bit of old Florida. It is mostly residential and has a neighborhood feel to it. There are older homes and newer Condo's. The lifestyle is very relaxed and casual. For those of you who prefer not to deal with elevators, parking passes, and 'Condo Rules', this is the ideal place for you. Right outside your front door are chairs and a table for your morning coffee. Read the paper and enjoy the people going by - walking, jogging, or riding bicycles. The City of Cape Canaveral just put in a bike path that runs right by our place and the pedestrian sidewalk is right across the street. You'll also see many people walking their dogs as our neighborhood is very pet friendly.
This spacious 2 bedroom apartment is located on the first floor of a lovingly renovated older home. It is ideal for anyone that has problems with stairs, and has a front and back entrance so unpacking the car and taking in groceries is easy. The living room is an open floor plan to the kitchen and dining area which seats 6 comfortably. Ceramic tile throughout with the exception of carpet in the bedrooms.
It also has the added bonus of a Den with sliding glass doors which open to a small and private patio. The Den is furnished with a desk for your laptop hookup, a bookcase with games and books, a stereo for your enjoyment and a reading chair. If you would prefer something smaller in size, please ask me about my 1 bedroom unit.
Around the side of the house is an outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand from you, the beach chairs and umbrella after returning from the beach. You'll also find the BBQ grill and maybe some charcoal and lighter fluid right outside your back door.
There are beach chairs, boogie boards, a cooler and an umbrella which you are free to take down to the beach. Pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it. If you're lucky you might just see a rocket launch.
We put twin beds in the guest room to make our place more 'Kid Friendly'. We can put them together with a memory foam topper to make a king size bed if desired. Please make arrangements with me ahead of time and I will see that it is set up for you.

You will find anything you might have forgotten - toothbrushes and toothpaste, band-aids,lotions,shampoo and soap, and more. There is also an outside shower to rinse off the ocean salt and sand when you come back from the beach....moreless
We'll start you off with a few basic essentials such as paper goods, cleaning supplies, spices to cook with, laundry detergent, and dishwasher soap. For our weekly guests we will leave a Welcome Basket with snacks or candy, bottled water, coffee, and a morning treat so if you arrive late you'll be all set for the next morning. ...moreless

We are located 1 1/2 miles south of Jetty Park and 1 1/2 miles north of The Cocoa Beach Pier on Ridgewood Ave, the closest beach road. Beach access is just out the door and 1 block east. A1A is 4 blocks west and The Orlando International airport is a 45 minute to a 1 hour drive.

About the owner: My husband and I are 'semi-natives' who live and work in Orlando. We both moved down to Florida from up north over 30 years ago. Having a second home so close makes weekends at the beach a reality for us.
Why the Owner Chose Cape Canaveral: We found ourselves spending more and more weekends at the beach and finally decided to invest in something more than a Hotel Room!!! Because we are not 'Condo' people, we chose this 4 Unit apartment building. We decided to keep one Unit for our 'get-a-away' and rent out the other three. So far, we've weathered Hurricanes, the stock market and the economy. (There was a reason the Government chose Cape Canaveral for it's Space Center!!!) Cape Canaveral offered a laid back lifestyle, a quiet beach, and friendly neighbors. It truly is a wonderful lifestyle.
