Everything I previously read in the reviews of The Beach House was true! Everything you could possibly need is provided! Very clean...nothing out of place! It was so peaceful! The beach is only a block away...and never crowded! So peaceful! Kathy also made this wonderful Key Lime Bread that my husband couldn't stop eating! and the Welcome Basket was so thoughtful! The place is perfect for a couple wanting to relax and get away from crowded hotels! I would definitely stay again and again! I found this place and when I read the reviews...I knew I wanted to stay here...I can only say...STAY! The bedroom is very small, but the bed is very comfortable...even my husband told me I did good in finding this place!

Great Apartment Rental

We have rented this apartment three times and are looking forward to our fourth trip. First, the owners, Kathy and Scott attend to every need. They are friendly, kind and welcoming. The apartment is spacious and clean and well equipped and it's just 300 steps from the front door to the sand of the beach! We like being close to the Library and Recreation Centre. There are bikes available if you want to head to the action of Cocoa Beach or to Port Canaveral. You can also walk to these spots and it is likely 30 - 40 minutes one way. Staying here is a great alternative to a highrise condo rental. Finally, we are able to bring our dog along and she enjoys the treats the other renters bring for her!!! This is a great rental.

This wonderful property was very clean, well maintained, and extremely comfortable. The location is less than two minutes away from the beach and the property has beach chairs, umbrellas, and all the essential beach items. Kathy was very thoughtful and all the little things that one might forget while traveling are already provided in the house. A delectable Pina Colada cake was awaiting us when we reached the property along with a few other welcome snacks. Overall, we had a an amazing experience and we would certainly stay here again!

Our new Favorite Place on the beach!

The condo was warm and welcoming! We found everything we needed to feel at home during our month long stay in Cape Canaveral. Scott and Kathy were ultra-sweet and gracious. Scott even offered to take my son fishing! Cape Canaveral is a lovely place to vacation, filled with kind people and endless possibilities for family fun. My son and I enjoyed crab hunting on the beach after sunset, seeing all of the marine life at jetty Park, and the dinosaur store and museum in Cocoa Beach. Not to mention Universal Studios and the Walt Disney World Water Parks.

Owner response:This is a great place for families and very kid-friendly. We have various DVD's, toys, games and books for the rainy days: and beach toys for the sunny days.

Relaxing Home Away from Home

Recently stayed in this lovely apartment and want to give it two thumbs up! Close to the beach, nicely laid out and had everything that our family of five needed for a long weekend at the beach! Owners very friendly and gave us great advice about good local restaurants and markets, etc. House stocked with all the little things like soap, paper products, spices, etc. that are hard to bring when you come by plane. I'd highly recommend this property to others.

Owner response:I do try to think ahead about the "forgotten" items and other things that will make my guests stay more relaxing. Go ahead.......forget your toothbrush........they'll be one there for you if that happens!

Home away from home!

We (myself, husband and 7 year old daughter) just returned from a WONDERFUL Spring Break in this beach apartment. Kathy provides everything you could possibly want or need and if you've forgotten something, she's sure to have it. It's spacious, clean, has plenty of extras of everything (blankets/pillows) and there are ceiling fans in each room. My daughter loved the welcome basket and used the journel that Kathy left to record everything we did so she can share it with her classmates. We traveled from Virginia and since gas is a killer right now, we opted to eat in some to save money and Kathy has provided everything you could possibly need to cook. There's even a crock pot! The beach access is literaly across the street and we spent most of our time there since we had perfect weather, perfect water temps and NO crowds. Watching the cruise ships come and go was a neat experience. We did spend one entire day at Kennedy Space Center and I would definately recommend taking a day to go there. It was worth the money to go in my opinion. I bought my tickets online with a $5 discount per ticket and would recommend doing so if you can. It was a big time saver from having to stand in the ticket line once you arrive. All in all, we had a great time and we definately hope to come back and stay here in the future! Owner response:Thanks Breea for your suggestion on KSC. Even with the Shuttle Launches coming to an end there is still a wonderful opportunity to visit The Kennedy Space Center and learn about our place in the History of Space.

We had stayed at a couple other areas over the years, but wanted something in Cape Canaveral. Since we had our "son" (dog Kirby), we needed to find something pet friendly. After searching, we decided to try The Beach House. Don't regret it one bit!!! We were there at Christmas and Kathy went to the extent of decorating and putting up a tree for us!! The house was beyond our expectations. Large, open, clean and made us (including Kirby) feel very much at home. We stayed for 3 weeks and loved it. It's quiet, one block from the beach and has everything that you'd want from a "home away from home". There's plenty of "stuff" to just stay in and cook, or if you want to go out, there's tons of resturants and pubs near-by. Didn't get a chance to try out the bikes or surf rods but there's always next time!!!!! Back in OH for one week and we're already planning our July and next December's trips so that we can reserve the house. A tremendous THANKS goes to Kathy and Scott for making the Beach House a very special place for all of us to share!!!!

Great Place!

What a great place to stay. Although we went down to Florida to see the final launch of the space shuttle discovery (which never took place!), we really enjoyed our stay. Jake, the dog, particularly liked the dog Spunky, next door! The apartment is spacious and really comfortable. Since I am in the middle of settling an estate, the wireless internet connection was a good thing to have and came in handy. After being 3 days in Charleston, it was a welcome site to have a full kitchen to prepare meals - which I love to do! Kathy left a wonderful "sand bucket" as a welcome present with snacks and her delicious key lime bread. Have to get the recipe! We definitely plan on going back!

Owner response:Space Shuttle Discovery still has to launch !!!!!!!! Perhaps we'll see them back sooner rather than later. So glad we had everything they needed for their stay. I do try to think ahead.....what would I want?

Great fishing spot

This was a great place to stay since it was only a little over a mile to the inlet and just steps from the beach. This is a great fishing spot and fishing the Mac Attack was even better.Very comfortable place to stay and we even parked our boat on site. It was nice to bring our dog with us. This place is an awesome find and we plan to stay every chance we have to get back to Canaveral. There are many special touches to this place and makes it feel like home away from home. I highly recommend. Thanks so much!

Owner response:We all got real excited over the fact that they caught the largest Cobia in the Tournament !! Fishing is one of the great reasons to visit Cape Canaveral with Tournament season running from May through the summer. We're looking forward to seeing them again soon.

All the comforts of home and more

My girlfriend and I stayed with our dogs for 4 days in this lovely apartment at the end of August. It was spotlessly clean and had all the things anyone could need and more. Kathy made us feel so much at home and we enjoyed the loaf of home made Key Lime Bread and other goodies left for us. Th beach was a short block away and we watched the sun rise every morning. There was a nice park that we walked the dogs around near by. The unit is located in a quiet and peaceful area but the "action" is within a few minute drive if that is what you want. It is a nice location to visit the Kennedy Space Center, Meritt Island Animal refuge and the Canaveral Shores. We saw dolphins, manatees, a golden eagle (rare) and many types of shore/wet land birds while visiting these areas. Bring your binoculars! Thanks Kathy. We will be back....Jeanne and Laurie

Everything is exactly as described! A comfortable, well furnished get-away! Just bring yourself, your clothes & personals, because everything else is there for you to use:) We noticed other families running to the beach shops and buying more towels, toys etc., you will not have to do this if you stay @ Kathy's! She treats you like a true guest in her home, we will be back! The Price Family fr St.Louis

This beach house is just a wonderful place to get away or transition from one country to another. You have the beauty and relaxation of the beach...but the comforts of home. The owners are genuinely thoughtful! I would/will recommend the beach house to friends and family who come this way to stay. Close to the beach, very clean and well-maintained, wonderful amenities!

Owner response:Although we call our place The Beach House we are not located directly on the beach. It just feels like a "beach house" as Terri described. Her family was a joy to have for the 6 weeks they were here, and happily they have bought a house nearby so we'll be able to see them often. This is one of the best parts of renting our place on VRBO - we DO make many new friends !!

We stayed at the condo over New Years and had a wonderful time. The location is superb - close to everything. And the accomdations are wonderful. We loved the basket of goodies from Kathleen upon our arrival! We brought our three children (and the Yorkie) and welcomed the New Year in style. We found a nearby bike rental for kids bikes and the laundry on site was very nice. We hope to visit again soon.

Spending three months at this apartment worked out very well for us. Kathy, the owner, did a wonderful job anticipating our needs for a long term stay and was very helpful. The photographs posted on the website are an accurate depiction. This spacious apartment is tastefully decorated and is ideally located. We found almost everything we needed at the apartment for an enjoyable stay. The beds were comfortable. The den was a bonus for hooking up the laptop and doing any printing that was necessary. Once you leave the front door, it only takes a minute or two to be at the beautiful sandy beach. Walking along the beach, you can head North and see pelicans and people enjoying the sand at Jetty Park or head South and find yourself at the Cocoa Beach Pier. For long term renters, the property is quite close to the Library and Recreation Centre. Our guests enjoyed staying with us at this well maintained property.

what a great home from home.the apartment was so well stocked with everything we would need.We were right at the beach,had a BBQ grill,private parking and lots of shopping in the area,Kathy and Scott were so VERY accomodating.We stayed for a month in January,We may make it longer next time.Cape Canaveral is such a great place,Where We stayed was close to EVERTHING,but not too touristy,I WILL BE BACK,Thanks Kathy and Scott

We included three young adults, that had the "Best vacation Ever!" It included a shuttle launch, Surf lesson & surfing, And lots of beach time! This is the very best place to stay! after driving all the way from Ann Arbor, Michigan; we were totally refreshed by meeting Kathy and Scott! They are the kindest and most generous Hosts! When we were showed the apartment, we were stunned and delighted by the beauty and care to detail that Kathy had done for our arrival. A wonderful orange bundt type cake that was totally awesome, Fresh flowers, everything needed to make it feel truly like a home away frome home. Everything was beautiful, clean and fresh. We had a great week here - the unit had everything you could imagine down to the charcoal and lighter fluid. Parking right outside the front door made getting the groceries in a snap. I highly recommend this property.

Very nice location and very nice property. Located just north of Cape Canaveral Air Force Base (which is where rocket launches other than shuttle take off) it was a thirty second walk to the beach for a spectacular view of night time launch! The property was in great shape, the kitchen was very well equipped for fixing meals. A great variety of excellent dining locations are very close too. Kathy was a very pleasant person to work with. My wife and I are looking forward to staying there again in the future. Scott Grenerth
