Directly across from The Historic Waimea Theater, The West Inn was built in 2002 and has an Old Waimea Town exterior with a modern clean up-to-date interior. The bedroom comes equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning along with cable TV, wireless internet and a nice tiled bathroom with an extra wide tub/shower for your maximum comfort. We provide a twice weekly cleaning service and fresh linens. There are 2 coin operated washers and dryers for our longer term tenants' convenience.
Location: you are in the middle of town within walking distance of restaurants, shops, grocery stores, pier, the monument of Captain Cook (who first discovered Hawaii right here in Waimea) as well as banks, a post office, hospital, pharmacy and of course, the beach.
As you drive west, the road (Kekaha Road) splits to the right where you can travel up to Waimea Canyon where there is fantastic hiking and fresh rivers leading to several swimming holes, all happening 7000 feet above sea level. Being up among the towering pines is definitely fantastic and the canyon views are amazing.
Of course you could have gone left and stayed on the main highway which takes you out to Polihale State Park where there are miles of beach and huge sand dunes at the base of the towering cliffs of the Na Pali coast. With fresh showers and bathrooms available you just need to bring your own lunch, plenty of liquid and sunscreen to have a fantastic day at the beach. Either way, you end up back at The West Inn, your home away from home. Feel the breeze, see the ocean and listen to the surf as you relax on your covered lanai for the evening.
