The Cabins at Porcupine Ridge is a private, peaceful community of single-family private homes in the Winter Park Ranch neighborhood. This three-level house has been expertly furnished and equipped throughout. Featuring hand-peeled log staircases and vaulted ceilings, real stone, stucco, beech cabinets and granite countertops, this house guarantees comfort and style.
The main level comprises an open plan living room and dining area with hardwood floor, and gourmet kitchen complete with breakfast bar. The vaulted ceiling and two story real stone gas fireplace add a real element of spaciousness. Media entertainment is provided by way of a flat-screen HDTV with a DVD player. A gas BBQ grill is located on the deck leading from the living room.
The Master bedroom with queen-size bed is located in the privacy of the third floor and comes with an en-suite bathroom complete with steam shower. The 2nd bedroom is on the main floor, and comprises one double bed, a set of twin bunks and private bathroom with shower. The third and fourth bedrooms are on the lower level which also features a large kid-friendly den area perfect for playing games. Bedroom #3 has a queen-size bed, and bedroom #4 a double plus Captains bunks. A full bathroom is also located on this level.
A washer & dryer, iron & ironing board, and 2-car oversized garage complete the list of features and amenities for this wonderful home. Located just 5.5 miles from the Winter Park Ski Area, and 3 miles from downtown, private vehicles or the free winter shuttle bus ensure a quick and easy transfer to the slopes, shopping, bars or restaurants in the Winter Park & Fraser Valley.

Cozy Cabin style with room for a big family
VRBO Bear stayed here - 04/02/2009 The end of March 2009 brought us an abundant snowfall and we were able to take advantage of a winter mountain getaway before the season ended. We found a cozy cabin retreat in the town of Fraser, just a few short miles from Winter Park. Although the furnishings were mountain-style, there was no roughing it here! We were delighted to find this brand new home with high end appliances and fixtures.
The home provided all the amenities we needed for a perfect, relaxing mountain vacation –a fireplace for a cozy winter evening, large top-of-the-line washer and dryer for those wet ski clothes, a two car garage so we didn’t have to scrape ice and snow off the windows, four good sized bedrooms to sleep the whole bear clan and another family room to spread out. My favorite was the steam shower. After a day of snow tubing (just a few miles away), it was a perfect way to thaw out!
If you’re looking for that perfect family mountain retreat, you won’t be disappointed in this fine cabin on Porcupine Ridge.
