This charming apartment, once a millinery, (95 sq m) is on the second (American third) floor) of a 17th century building with elevator. Apartment and building were restored recently.
The apartment is composed by a 1) sitting room, 2) a large bedroom with twin beds (or king size) that can, on request, be prepared as a second sitting room, 3) queen size bedroom (or twins) with an additional entrance and 4) bathroom en-suite, 5) a double bedroom, 6) a bathroom with shower and a 7) kitchen with dining table.
The furniture is antique and functional. Timbered and stucco ceilings, art deco glass doors, wooden floor of large planks complete the special atmosphere. Bathrooms have painted wooden floors and coverings, showers are grey ceramic tiled and windows have double pained glass.

Beautiful apartment in the best location! Three college friends rented this apartment for 10 days in Rome recently. It could easily accommodate 6 people. There are bedrooms at opposite ends of the unit, so plenty of privacy. The street is a pedestrian street with many nice shops and coffee shop/eateries nearby. BEWARE: Gelato right across the street! We enjoyed the very good location and how quiet it was. I will definitely lease this apartment again when I return to Rome. Was fun to look out the upstairs windows and watch people strolling by enjoying their evenings. Mara is very good to work with, explained everything very well and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The apartment is also a very close walk to a large taxi stand, key bus stops, and two subway stations. But many very good restaurants within walking distance and the unequalled Cafe Greco is right around the corner. You will not find better value in a superb accommodation and location in Rome than this apartment represents.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

The location of this apartment is fantastic!!! We , family with 4 children, were very comfortable and enjoyed the space. The rooms are good size and the bathrooms were sufficient. The kitchen was fine for us, though we only had breakfast there. But nothing will beat this location!!!!. We arrived very early and had to leave very very early but it was not problem----thankfully. Thank you for a wonderful holiday stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

I stayed in this lovely three bedroom apartment with my husband, my parents, and my four year old daughter. The apartment had a lot of charm and character. It is close to the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain. I absolutely loved the location. The apartment was clean and well maintained. The owner was very easy to work with and very helpful in answering questions. She also gave me the name of a cab to call to meet us at the airport, which we also used again in Rome on our way back from Sorrento. It was fabulous. I would def stay here again and recommend it to a friend or relative.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you, Julie. You were great tenants. Mara

This apartment exceeded expectations. It is as charming as advertised, and the location in a prime upscale shopping neighborhood off the Spanish Steps was even better than imagined. We were a group of six, including two young twenty-something couples, and the layout and amenities were just right for our needs. You can walk everywhere from here - the piazzas, Colosseum, Pantheon, Vatican- and we did. We stayed for 5 nights after Christmas, and enjoyed mild winter weather and the unique experience of Roman New Years Eve at the Spanish Steps! Mara was very helpful, and flexible when our arrival was delayed a day due to snowstorms on the east coast. We hope to come back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Our famil of 6 spent 4 days in this lovely apartment in December. The location is outstanding...just minutes from the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Metro. The apartment layout was great. Our 4 kids were in 2 bedrooms on 1 side of the apartment and we were on the other side. We had everything we could possibly need provided for us, down to umbrellas, which came in handy! We had a draining problem in one of the showers and the owner promptly had a plumber out to fix the problem. We will definitely stay here again if given the chance. Great value for the money.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you!!! It was a pleasure to have you as guests. Mara

This apartment totally lived up to our expectations. This was our first experience with VRBO and we are hooked. The location simply could not be better, on a mostly pedestrian street and right in the middle of were you want to be. Mara has provided a large map on the kitchen wall that provides local info for stores and sites, etc. The beds were all comfortable and the kitchen came well equipped and stocked with most of the condiments you may need. We love to cook and used the kitchen extensively to help cut costs. It functioned well and was well stocked with all of the pots and pans we needed (however I did wish for some better cutlery). We had a family emergency during our five night stay requiring one of out group of five to return home early. Mara was extremely helpful and went out of her way to assist us. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Our family of five (three children)had a really great time in Rome staying in this lovely apartment. The rooms are all spacious & very comfortable,we loved the main bed, really comfy. My husband worked different hours to Rome time & as the apartment was larger he could easily do so & not wake anyone. The location was perfect, really easy to go to all major sites & the very best in shops & restaurants are at your steps.I would happily suggest this apartment to any friends.Mara was helpful also with our travel in Italy ,& with a taxi company from the airport. Many thanksDid you find this review helpful? This apartment was wonderful!!! It was clean, spacious, quiet, and easily accessible. There was plenty of room for six people and the elevator made getting our luggage to the apartment very easy. The location was perfect - only a few blocks from the Spanish Steps and the Spagna metro stop and right in the middle of wonderful shopping. We will definitely try to stay here again if we have the chance to return to Rome.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We very much enjoyed staying at the apartment. It was perfect for our family, both in terms of space/function/utility and it was the perfect location to be in Rome. Our kids (10 & 13yrs) said it made them feel a little bit like they were a person from Rome, not a tourist and on the flight home they voted this vacation as the best so far. Obviously we will be recommending it to our friends and when we return to Rome, we will of course be contacting Mara again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
