  Excellent Condo in the Maui Kamaole complex - My daughters and grand daughter had a lovely 10 day vacation exploring the beaches and enjoying the pool. The unit was very clean, comfortable and Chris, the owner was so friendly and easy to deal with. The condo has everyting you need and the added bonus of all the beach equipment you could want, free wi fi and was very quiet and close to the lovely pool. I'd recommend this property and hope to stay there again when we next visit Hawaii.

  This condo and the Maui Kamaole far exceeded our expectations. Our family of 5 enjoyed every second of our 7 day stay in this lovely unit. . It was a very nicely decorated 2 bedroom unit (with sleeper sofa in living room)and only 5 minutes from the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with an abundance of cutlery, pots, glasses as well as top notch appliances. The Maui Kamaole is the best property in South Kihei. The units are away from the busy road and the property is beautifully landscaped. We enjoyed eating on the lanai surrounded by tropical trees and plants. The complex has two fabulous pools and a hot tub. The owner, Chris, was great to deal with and helpful in providing tips on things to do. Since this was our first trip to Maui, we relied on his advise on restaurants, beaches and activities. We found his recommendations to be invaluable since we wanted to spend as much time relaxing and enjoying the beach and less time mapping our next destiny. The lanai was stocked with a beach chairs, boogie boards, skim boards (crazy fun for the kids) and a big umbrella. We had everything we needed. We were able to explore many beaches in South Kihei. The Maui Kamaole is very centrally located and a short drive from the airport. Thanks Chris, we had a great trip! Recommended for:

  This property was one of the finest vacation accomodations we have ever experienced. The owner is friendly, communicative, prompt, helpful. He answers questions well and with care and does not gloss over information. Booking the unit was absolutely stress- and hassle-free. The unit was well equipped for our stay. Unlike previous visits to Maui, we only had to buy our food and bring our swimwear this time round. Everything else is available in the unit--snorkel gears, boogie boards, shovels and pails, etc. Same for the kitchen. We prepared most of our own meals and there was almost two of everything we needed. The unit was clean. Everywhere. I'm not a neat freak but it was nice there were no surprises anywhere. We've stayed in a number of places in a wide band of price ranges and this was the cleanest. Ever stayed in a fancy hotel, you kick a sock under the bed and find two socks or a tissue when you get down to reach for it? Not here, not even a dust bunny. The dishes and fridge were all spotless. The condo's external amenities were good. We recommend the pool closest to the unit (there are two). The closer one is not only more convenient but has more basic features and the hot tub is a fantastic place to kick back at night and look up at the moon and stars. We also made use of the BBQ a couple of times. Clean and well-maintained, as were the grounds and so on. The condo's location is quite good. We hadn't been to Kihei before but found it more convenient and in some ways more attractive than our previous stay near Kanapali. We would absolutely recommend this condo to any friends or relatives and will do so. We would gladly stay here again.

  Everything exceeded my expectations when it came to my stay here. I would recommend staying here to all my friends and family. Well stocked with toys and a stroller which saved us for our toddler. And the beach gear was amazing. I wish I would have had a chance to use more of it but our stay was too short. The beach umbrella saved my pale skin and allowed my wife and I to go to the beach together. Less then 10 minute walk to the beach and close to everything this is a truly ideal location. I will stay here again next year. Aloha!

  We had an amazing time on Maui; this was our first visit. Prior to arrival we found the owners extremely helpful in providing information on local beaches, restaurants and activities. The owners were quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. The condo was very well equipped with everything we could possibly need and everything was as shown in the pictures on the VRBO website. The grounds of the Maui Kamaole were well maintained and had beautiful landscaping; the pools were clean and well kept. There were several beaches near the Maui Kamaole; some within walkiing distance and others just a short drive. We found the beaches to be very clean and uncrowded with great snorkeling. The beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels and umbrellas were something we used almost every day. We did a lot of our own cooking but did eat out a few times in Kihei. Fat Daddy's Smokehouse was one of our favorites - delicious and reasonably priced. We saw a lot of Maui; from the road to Hana, to the top of Haleakala, to Old Lahaina. All of it was fantastic and there was an amazing diversity in climate/ecosystems from one region to the next. We would definitely return again and recommend Maui and specifically this unit at the Maui Kamaole to others.

  We had a great time in Maui at the Maui Kamaole. Our condo was everything we were expecting and more. We did as was suggested and stocked up at Costco with groceries and liquor as we wanted to cook our own breakfasts and lunches as much as possible. Eating out in Hawaii is expensive but it was nice to go out for dinner after a hard day at the pool or the beach. Our condo was close to the pool and to the BBQ's. The kitchen was fully stocked. If I was to offer any suggestions, I would say get new dish cloths. It was nice to be able to use the beach chairs and boogie boards which we did almost every day. We were doing a bit of scrambling the nite of the Tsunami warning as we couldn't find any information in the condo about what we should do or if we were in the evacuation zone or not. In my correspondence with Chris he is going to include that in the binder in the condo should it ever happen again. I would recommend this place and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

For future visitors to Maui, Hawaii can be in range of tsunamis...very rare, but certainly possible. Our home is not on the beach, but slightly up the hill, approximately 8 minute walk from the beach. The home is not technically in a flood plain, but prudence suggests leaving when the tsunami warning sounds. Evacuation procedures are provided inside the phone book by the State of Hawaii and we'll be posting procedures in our Welcome Packet as well.

  We had a wonderful time on our trip to Maui. Truly paradise. This rental property was awesome. Located in Kihei, away from the touristy and croweded areas on Maui. The property exceeded our expectations. It was well furnished and suited our needs well. We were a close drive to all the places we wanted to visit including many of the beaches on Maui. We enjoyed the pool on a daily basis and the property is truly beautiful.

  We spent two heavenly weeks at K-201 in January 2010. We've been to Maui four times and this condo was easily the cleanest and most fully stocked. Chris has a great binder full of information on the condo and maui. The free wifi was a great bonus! Can't say enough about the property or the condo. Hope to return next year!

  Thank you for sharing your home in Maui. What a great place to stay, close to shopping, restaurants and the most wonderful beaches. The unit itself was perfect and had everything we could possibly need and more. The three lanai's provided wonderful breezes, allowing us to leave the AC off and enjoy the fresh tropical air. The waterfall pool and sand bottom hot tub were peaceful and relaxing. We also enjoyed using the BBQ grilles on the property and dining out on the main lanai many times. It was a very beautiful home away from home. I will definately recommend it to friends.

  We just returned from a week stay at this location and had a spectacular time! The location was ideal to everything Maui had to offer, what was really terrific is if you didn't want to get in the car and drive, you could walk a short distance to beaches and shopping. The complex was beautiful and the condo had everything you could possibly need, however we were so busy siteseeing Maui we never used the pools. We did use the grills. You couldn't go wrong with this location, everything was nice, neat, new and clean. ALOHA!
