Best deal in Tamarindo
Best deal in Tamarindo
We LOVED this condo, this resort and this location. The Diria is the very nicest resort in Tamarindo, located in the heart of this little surf town. Our condo building is tucked back into the lush vegetation near the back of the resort where the larger pool is located. There is a swim up palapa bar located in this large pool which is nice. The views are spectacular and we were on the 5th floor. Most of the condos in Tamarindo are not beach front, but I think this is almost as beach front as you can get with an amazing view of the ocean, coastline and trees below. The condo is well appointed, modern and very roomy. We loved that we stayed in a condo but could use all the amenities of this resort, like the beachfront lounge chairs on the beachfront property, both pools, outdoor bar, etc. Our beach was ideally located in the center of everything. This beach is amazing for walking , swimming and surfing. We explored the Pacific coast and this is one of the most walkable beaches in the area. We would recommend this unit to ALL our friends. Whether you want to lounge by the beach and pool all day, or book excursions to enjoy all the adventure that Costa Rica offers, you can do it all. We rented a car so we drove to Rincon de le Vieja National park for a day of hiking in the rainforest with the volcanic mud bubbling and sulphur steam spewing through the cracks in the ground. We also went kayaking into the estuary nearby. There we kayaked through the mangroves searching for crocodiles, monkeys and many birds. You can also zip line, ATV, horseback ride, surf and enjoy many other outdoor activities. We love to travel to new places on each trip, but this is one location that we would return to again because everything was so perfect!

I stayed in this condo from November 24th to December 1st. The resort is nice with 2 separate pool areas (1 by the hotel lobby and another across the street). The pool is advertised as having a swim up bar, but it was not open our entire stay. I’m not sure if this was because it wasn’t quite peak season, or if this is normal. The restaurants in the resort are nothing special. I would recommend trying out Nibbana or Seasons by Shlomy if you are looking for a good meal. The condo is located in the Cenzario building that is farthest from the ocean. It is about a 5 minute walk down to the beach. I had requested a pick-up service from the Liberia airport through Kattia before we arrived. Unfortunately when landed in Liberia the taxi driver was nowhere to be found. Getting a taxi was not a problem, but we did have to negotiate a rate and get directions to the office for the new driver. When we were checking in at the property management company we received the keys, but no one accompanied us to the condo. It would have been nice to have someone come to the condo to show us how everything works. The view from the condo is amazing!!!! The condo itself is furnished with most of the essential things that you will need for your stay. There were a few small things that I needed that weren’t there. The property management staff always brought us everything that we needed as soon as we called. The housekeeping staff did a great job. Overall I think that this is a great condo! I would definitely come back again!
