ON ISLAND OWNERS-we are here ensuring this unit is in perfect condition to welcome you to Maui. Fully remodeled and upgraded unit-granite, tile, appliances, bathrooms, kitchen. Tastefully decorated in island style including tile inlays of geckos, fish, whales etc. One of the few units with an extra large lanai and peek of the ocean through the lush landscaping of the complex.
The condo is 1BR/2 baths; approx 850 sq. ft. It is fully furnished with linens, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels, snorkel gear, etc as well as a fully stocked kitchen, and ceiling fans and air conditioners in the bedroom and the LR. Most Kamaole Sands units have not upgraded to include the bedroom AC. Most days, the unit is cool enough with just the trade winds and ceiling fans plus the tinted windows, but occasionally you might need A/C, so we have provided that for your comfort. Now that we live on Maui, we are managing the unit ourselves, but it was one of the (if not THE) top unit in the rental program, garnering a rare grade A rating (see comments from previous guests taken from our guest book).
The large master bedroom has a queen sized bed. The LR has a Murphy bed with a very comfortable, queen mattress. The Murphy bed is much more comfortable than a sleeper sofa and has closet space and drawers built in for clothes storage. The bathrooms are full size and upgraded with granite and tile. Hairdryers provided.
Our unit is in building 6, unit 201 (2nd floor). It is a corner unit located in the highly desirable “inner court” which provides a very quiet experience, away from elevator noise as well as noise from South Kihei Rd or the entryways. The view is private and over the lush tropical landscaping. You can see a bit of the ocean from the lanai and front entry (more or less depending on how recently the foliage/trees have been trimmed).
The gated complex is right across the street (2-3 minute walk) from one of Maui's most beautiful beaches, Kamaole III Beach Park. Located on South Kihei Rd, just outside the Wailea Resort area, Kamaole Sands is close to the Wailea Resort's Spas, Golf, Shopping, Restaurants and also to Kihei’s more casual shopping, dining, and night life.
Kamaole Sand’s large, beautiful pool was recently renovated. There are 2 hot tubs-1 adult only. There is a children’s wading pool. There are 4 regulation size tennis courts and an exercise room. Other amenities include a 24 hour front desk and security, on-site activity desk, 8 large BBQ areas, reserved parking next to the building, and property manager on site.
The resort directly charges guests a $25 fee at check in to cover the morning newspaper, welcome continental breakfast your first morning by the pool, Wednesday afternoon Mai Tai party (3-5pm), access to the gym, free local phone calls, free internet, and on site security. The Homeowner's Association keeps the complex in top shape with luscious tropical landscaping.
The condo has free high speed internet provided (there is no computer in the unit), as well as cable TV (new TV 2011), family DVDs, Hawaiian music CDs, and a paperback library.
Basic amenities include starter provisions of Dawn dish soap, Cascade dishwasher powder, paper towels, TP, laundry detergent, bath soap. Kitchen cupboard usually has foil, coffee filters, spices, olive oil and other non-perishables.
Check in is 3pm; check out is 10am. Earlier or later times are possible depending on arriving/departing guests. 1/2 day or full day rate may be charged for late check out.

Why the Owner Chose Kamaole Sands
We were frequent visitors to South Maui for many years. We love the beauty of the area, the ameneties, the gorgeous beaches, the ease in walking or biking where you
want to go. The weather is more consistent than any where else on the island and is generally sunny with nice cooling trade winds. There are many resort and public golf courses near by, as well as tennis courts, snorkeling and diving spots, great casual and fine dining restaurants, hiking, biking, boat trips etc. There is plenty to do if you want a busy vacation and lots of beautiful spots to just sit and relax. Our complex has a great pool, barbeques, tennis courts and beautifully landscaped grounds. Just a short 2 minute walk takes you to one of the best family beaches on the island.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
In addition to being right across the street from Kamaole Beach Park, most of Kihei is walkable. There are great shops, restaurants, and people watching. The tennis courts are terrific and the property has numerous recently upgraded barbeque areas. There is a Wednesday afternoon Mai Tai party for all guests (complimentary) and free morning newspaper. The onsite gym is excellent and there is a 24 hour front desk, onsite security, and an onsite activity desk.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maui. The condo was very nice and clean and as advertised. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and were very helpful and honest. The unit had most of the items we needed to enjoy our days on the beautiful beaches ( snorkels, chairs, towels, body boards, etc.) We would definitely recommend this condo. The unit was in a great location and being a end unit was nice and quiet. We are already planning on a return trip as soon as possible. We enjoyed our meals and get togethers at Fred's and Five Palms.

The condo was as advertised, if not better! We had a great time staying there with our 14 and 11 year-old children. The first thing you'll notice upon walking into the unit for the first time is the squeaky clean feel. All the floors are tile with decorative inlays of geckos, fish and turtles spaced throughout the unit. The kitchen has all new countertops and appliances and is well stocked with essential items for cooking. Without a doubt, the best feature is the large private lanai. Being a corner unit, the lanai is easily twice as large as those of other units. We ate breakfast outside in full privacy -- enjoying the tropical view -- several times. We also enjoyed having the "Beach Closet". It was well stocked with useful beach items such as beach chairs, boogey boards, beach umbrellas and beach mats. These items came in very handy as we would most likely have ended up buying similar items had they not already been at the condo. All in all, a great place to stay! Location is central to most everything in Kihei and Wailea. The owners were helpful and responsive to the few questions we had during our stay. I highly recommend this unit as we plan to stay here again on our next rip to the island.

This condo was beautiful. It, VERY, comfortably slept 2 adults, 1 child, 1 toddler. It had everything we needed, beach towels, each toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, loaded with Kitchen equipment AND a full cupboard of spices to cook with. We have stayed at the Kamaole Sands prior and glad we chose it again, and we'd stay there another 10 times! Also.....this unit had the largest lanai!! It was just stunning. i wold totally recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a clean, affordable, charming, wonderful place to stay in Kihei, my daughter, mom and dad just loved staying at this unit and are planning about when we can get back down to stay there again. You wont be disappointed.

photos were great of the unit, & it was as it appeared, amenities were great, well stocked, lots of towels, beach towels, sheets, detergent, kitchen essentials, etc. Great lanai.The owner immediately came over when we had some burnt out lightbulbs, service was sent when a windstorm blew out a screen. The only thing that needs upgrading is a better tv, Grounds are gorgeous, lots of BBQ's, within walking distance of several restaurants, shopping & beaches.

My 3 kids and 1 stayed in your condo after Christmas. The murphy bed worked fantastic and made it easy for the 1 bedroom unit to accomodate all of us! It was super clean, well-stocked and nicely renovated. Our party rented 4 units in total and everyone agreed that we had the nicest unit! I loved the location in the complex ... right next to the stairs, and close to the BBQ areas and pools. We will definately book with you again ... hopefully in 2012! Thanks for making our trip so enjoyable!!

We has a spectacular time staying at your condo. It was advertised just as we found it. All upgrades were well done and I absolutely loved the ceramic tile inlets. Very artistic! We've been home for three weeks and I can't wait to return!
