I can only echo all of the superlative sentiments in the other reviews. The apartment had everything we could've wanted and it was so nice to be able to sprawl out a little after a full day on our feet, and also to handle some of our own meals from the treasure trove of local sources. The location simply defies description. The sheer volume and variety of things within 2 blocks is astounding - we could've easily spent the whole time in just the neighborhood! The owner goes above and beyond to make the rental process as easy as it can be. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

The apartment was fabulous. Located in a bustling neighborhood, close to major sites (Notre Dame, Musee D'Orsay, Louvre), famous and lovely cafes, restaurants, shops. Such a treat! We also loved that once you entered the apartment it was so peaceful and quiet. The apartment is described well, was very roomy and comfortable. It's got everything you need to make yourself at home in Paris. The owner's instructions and helpful tips were right on. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Paris. Thank you Shelly for a wonderful experience.

This is a wonderful home, clean and well appointed. Spacious, and don't discount free Internet and phone. The owner's recommendations and instructions made move into the area seamless. We were told by friends that the left bank 6 th district was ideal but this condo was best of best. ENJOY your visit.

I've rented numerous apartments in Europe and the United States, many from VRBO, but this apartment ranks number one for many reasons: great Parisian location, great value and a great owner. Shelly is the most organized and efficient owner I've worked with. She immediately responded to all inquiries and had easily understood instructions for all aspects of the rental. The apartment is within walking distance of the major tourist attractions and close to two metro lines and a taxi stand. Everything you need for your stay is right outside the apartment--a supermarket, a florist, numerous cafes and restaurants, including the excellent "Fish" right across the street, an open market and several places to buy prepared foods. Within blocks are the Eric Kayser boulangerie, the Gerard Mulot patisserie, the famous cafes Les Deux Magots and Cafe de Flore, movie theaters, Luxembourg gardens and shopping of all sorts. The apartment was as represented and very comfortable and colorful, with attractive art work on the walls, all necessary furnishings, and good beds and linens. It was clean and well cared for. I definitely would recommend this apartment and plan to stay here again in the future.

If you are lucky to find this apartment is available for the dates you will be in Paris, I would book it. Everything you could need or want for your vacation--very comfortable bed, bathrooms very clean, kitchen fully equipped, close to the Metro, wonderful restaurants in walking distance and a bookcase full of guide books in the apartment. The owner was so easy to work with--prompt with responses and explaining all you need to know about the apartment. I would definitely return on another trip to Paris.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this apartment. We found everything to be just as in the pictures. The apartment is in the best location to walk to many sights, as well as giving you easy access to the metro, RER and busses. The apartment was clean and had everything you needed to make your visit a pleasant one. The owner was great to work with, always getting back to you with answers very promptly. Should we go back to Paris, we will definitely look into staying here again.

My husband, 21 yr old daughter and I stayed here for 4 days in the spring, and it was just perfect for us. The location was ideal and having the two showers and sinks was very helpful when we all needed to get ready at the same time. The owner was fabulous to deal with, the listing was just as described and there were extra features that made our stay ever better than we'd hoped. Everything was new and clean, linens and towels ample and soft, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would return in a heartbeat, and recommend this apartment to anyone who would rather have the comfort and convenience of an apt over a hotel. It was great for three but even better for two people!

...In a very centrally located neighborhood and one of which is bustling with life. ....There are cafes, restaurants, a flower shop, supermarket, and metro and bus lines within walking distance. ...The apartment location is also excellent for walking to many of the famous sites. ...Working with the owner was a pleaseure and all information needed to access the apartment was provided. The apartment was quiet, comfortable and is very well suited for either a couple or a solo traveler. I plan on returning in the near future.

Most reviews already rave about how this apartment will insure that your Paris stay is an exquisite experience. We consider ourselves sophisticated travelers and have stayed in many 5-star hotels as well as B & Bs. This apartment adds a wonderful dimension and richness to your Paris visit. Thus, we endorse all that has been written. The key considerations for making this your Paris home of choice are: 1. Location, location, location. 2. Location, location, location. 3. 24/7 street scene, or as close to 24/7 as any place in Europe ever gets. 4. The nearby gourmet treats. 5. The nearby world class museums. 6. The excitement. 7. Shelly’s support.

I can second all of the positive comments about this wonderful apartment. I would like to add that if you have never rented an apartment in Paris before, and are a little hesitant, Shelly's apartment is the one for you. Shelly makes everything very easy, from being able to pay by paypal (much easier and less expensive than wiring euros), to finding and using everything in the apartment. We have stayed in several different apartments in Paris, and this one offers the absolute best combination of location, convenience, and price. If you are STILL hesitant about renting an apartment for your stay in Paris, you should know that the owners of the café next door, and the restaurant across the street speak English and couldn't be nicer. And Shelly's manager answered her phone immediately when we called with a question. Staying in an apartment is so much more relaxing, economical, and fun than a hotel. Buy yourself a lovely bouquet at the florist around the corner (there are vases in the apartment) and pretend that you live there! My only hesitation about writing about this fantastic apartment, is that it will be booked up once people realize how nice it is.

I had a comfortable stay at this apartment..great location and walkable distance to many sighstseeing attractions(Notre- Dame Cathedral) and several great cafes.I personally liked the food at Jade Cafe. Apartment is clean and kept well. Both bathrooms had showers and sinks but wish there was a toilet in the front bathroom(not very significant but was manageable).

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this cozy and practical apartment. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the gallery district of the Quartier Latin, next to a great street market and very close to metros and bus stops. The Quartier is full of life, but the apartment is on an interior court and very quiet. The apartment was clean and confortable and Shelly (the owner) made our stay a delight. It's great for 2 people.

My husband and I stayed in this apartment the first week in May and it was a terrific experience. The flat is adorable, immaculate, overlooking a courtyard and perfect for two people. It is in an excellent location with great restaurants, lots of cafes and and a super market, bakery, fish stand and fruit store just down the street. We even had a Paris experience doing our laundry at the laundromat just a few doors down from the flat. The location is ideal since it is walking distance to The Louvre, Luxumbourg Gardens and three metro stops. Shelly, the owner, could not have been more helpful before we arrived and even during our stay via email. The information we received about the apartment before our trip was thorough and once we got to the apartment, we found lots of guidebooks and maps to use during our stay. Not only have we been recommending this property to family and friends, but we simply can't wait to go back!

I must echo all compliments on the apartment, it’s location and the owner. My sister and I were in Paris during the exciting volcanic ash event and the apartment and Shelly made up for all the uncertainties. The apartment was as other posters have mentioned very well thought out and the bed and the linens were first class. The immediate neighborhood is a dream. The first night we had dinner across the street at Fish, co-owned by a New Zealander, so English was spoken. The food was great at the atmosphere lively. A block down rue de Seine, is a great grocery store....Carrefour. Paul’s pastry is on the corner, markets of every kind on rue de Buci. You can walk to the best macaron emporiums...Laduree is only a few blocks away. You can walk to the Louvre, Bon Marche, Mariage Freres tea salon. It was so wonderful! Alas, our flight actually departed as scheduled and we hated leaving our Paris apartment. When we return, this apartment will be our #1 choice

Owner: Highly professional. Answers e-mails and sends out rental contract promptly. Apartment keys and pictured-instructional packet for the apartment, mailed out after last payment received. Payments available in U.S. dollars, thus eliminating currency fluctuation concerns. Within-reason security deposit. I accidentally stumbled upon this apartment in spring 2009 and immediately booked it for spring 2010, as I already had a place to stay (with a Parisian friend) for Spring 2009. I booked it without any reviews on it at the time. But, I felt very confident about it after several e-mails to the owner. Plus, I recognized the building from the very helpful photo provided by the owner. Apartment: Immaculate. Quiet. Exceptionally, well, thought-out space. *Kitchen: 4-burner stove, oven, spacious mini fridge, very adequate counter space and cabinets. *Living room: Well-lit. Two comfortable sofas, also serving as extra sleeping space. Cable TV. Nice dining room. Plenty of travel books available in dining room bookcase. *Bathrooms: Two bathrooms; one off of living room with shower, full-sized tub, and sink. The other bathroom is en suite and with a large, tiled shower (no tiny shower cabin), sink, and toilet. *Bedroom: Very spacious. Firm bed mattress. High quality bed linens. *Closet Space: Great closet space! One, walk-in, well-lit, clothing closet with shelves, en suite. The other well-lit, walk-in, clothing closet, is off the living room area along with a walk-in, well-lit, general hall closet. Location: Great location! An abundance of services within a minute or less walk from apartment; supermarket, green grocer, bakery, deli, floral shop, many food/street vendors, restaurants, cafes, laundromat, etc. Also within a 5-minute walk are metro lines #10 and #4. And there are an abundance of bus lines in the area. I enjoy taking the bus as I can see the city. Although I've stayed all over Paris, almost annually since the mid 1970s, I've stayed mostly in the 6th since 1981, and on the same street of the apartment building for 19 years of vacations of which 9 of them were on the same block of the building. I'm very familiar with this area as well as the rest of the 6th. Great apartment! Great area! Happy Travels!

I had the best time in Paris when I stayed at this very lovely, sweet and comfortable apartment, 54 Rue de Seine, the best left bank location. Staying in this apartment, and not in a hotel, let me fantasize that I was a Parisian, not a tourist. The location is really a dream location, near the best food shops restaurants and cafes, great clothes stores, close proximity to public transportation, and my favorite is the quick walk to the romantic seine with picturesque bookstands nearby. I felt very lucky and privileged to have found this wonderful gem of an apartment that made my stay in Paris an exceptional and memorable experience. And the owner could not be nicer and more accommodating. I can't wait to go back.

This was my first trip to Paris and my 40th birthday! The apartment was simply perfect. Perfect size, amenities, location, etc. Neighborhood was great...ate at most of the local eateries and never had a bad meal. Could easily walk to just about anything or find a convenient metro station to where we needed to go. Shelly was great and would recommend this to anyone. I secretly hope that not too many people find out about this so that it will be easily available for our next vacation here...is that selfish? Well, as great of a find as this is, you will want to keep this gem all to yourself!! Highly recommend! Will not disappoint.

We had a lovely holiday in this cozy apartment. Everything necessary for a comfortable stay is provided and it is very secure. The location is great; metro stations are within easy walking distance. Hundreds of eating places around the apartment and an interesting place to walk around after dinner. We bought a four-day museum pass which was exhausting but well worth it! Hope to be back soon!

I've stayed in many homes away from home over the years. This property stands out in many ways: The location couldn't be better: both close to everything (we didn't use any transportation but our feet except when coming or going from Paris) and completely private and quiet. The owner was attentive to every question that we sent her way, providing the most clear and effective instructions I have ever seen both before and during our stay. The bedding, linens, kitchen are simple, comfortable, clean, functional. Plumbing and appliances all work perfectly. There is a three foot shelf of guide books and a couple feet of fiction vacation reading. There is every possible convenience just outside the apartment door, including a laundromat! The wireless and phone services make communication with home and around Paris as easy as they could possibly be. This apartment is a lucky find.

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for a week in October 2009. It was all that we expected it to be -- very clean, excellent bathrooms, so nicely decorated, and comfortable bedding and furniture. It's also in an excellent location. First of all because it's in St. Germain but second of all because it is close to a lively area of restaurants, cafes, and markets (and a laundromat). The apartment is also very quiet, which makes for a good night's sleep. Shelly is great to work with and provides very detailed information about the apartment before your visit. She also has many guidebooks in the apartment to enhance your stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again and hope I have the opportunity to so again sometime in the future.

The Rue du Buci apartment is in the ideal location - a 10 - 15 minute walk to many cultural sites (Le Louvre, Notre Dame, St. Chapelle, d'Orsay, de Cluny); a 5 minute walk to the Paris Metro; a 10 minute walk to the train to the airports or Versailles. The neighborhood is charming with little cafes, old churches, quays along the Seine to stroll and a supermarket. We were comfortable going out to take an evening stroll and watch the locals. This modern apartment is not huge but had everything we needed from internet access to checkup on the kids back home to plenty of tour books/guides of Paris. We were happy to find that the apartment was very quiet, in the back, overlooking a courtyard. Shelly was very easy to work with and helpful on our first trip to the City of Light. We have rented apartments outside the US a few times and can highly recommend this apartment. Joan & Bruce Blondina
