Accommodations:  House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)

This has been our home away from home and refuge from NYC for over 20 years. Before 2008, we never rented it as it is so perfect for weekend getaways. Unfortunately, we can't 'get away' much any longer.

Walking distance to Lake Garfield. Sand beach with lifeguards on duty.

Peaceful, deep in the woods. Very private on five acres of forested land. Toss a log into the wood burning stove and unwind from all the stresses of everyday life. The house is chalet style with post and beam construction and a cathedral ceiling. During the summer months, enjoy the screened in porch. Fabulous hot tub for all seasons.

It is close to Butternut and Jiminy Peak Ski areas. Butternut in particular is a family friendly mountain. In summer, enjoy Tanglewood, Shakespeare Theatre, Jacobs Pillow, Swimming, etc. All seasons enjoy the wonderful Restaurants, Antique Stores and welcoming Berkshires people.

  • This home was ideal for getting away -- perfectly secluded and private but close enough to everything one needs (activities, grocery store, etc.). The property is beautiful as is the home itself (loved the sizable kitchen and hot tub in particular). The porch would be great for spring/summer. Would highly recommend.

  • Jay, Thank you for sharing your cabin over the New Year's holiday. Everything was as described. The hot tub was great! It was so nice at night looking at the stars or watching the snow fall! The location was easy to get to and the setting was very private. The road and driveway were plowed right away when it snowed. The wood stove kept the cabin warm and toasty. We had a great time and would recommend it to any couple who would like a romantic get-away, but it is also big enough to be used comfortably by a larger group. Thank you again, it was a perfect way to start a new year!
