We just returned from our vacation at Drake's Beach House and had a wonderful time!! We had 2 families, with 5 children between the ages of 3 and 9. The upstairs bedroom was perfect for the 2 older kids, and there was so much space for the little ones. The bedrooms are HUGE!! The kitchen was great - we could prepare dinner for all of us without stepping on each other, and the table was big enough to accomodate all of us!! The pool area was very nice - we all had a wonderful time swimming - and there was always a shady spot for someone that wanted it. The walk to the beach was perfect for us - close enough to run back and grab anything that we needed. It became a morning ritual to take the kids to the beach to find seashells, sand dollars, etc. At night, we'd walk to Coligny to get ice cream, and then walk down the beach back to the house. The owners were very responsive to anything we needed or any of our questions. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone, and would return any time!!!

Our family of 16 loved, loved, loved the place. It looked just like the listing photos. One of our favorite places was the covered porch where we could sit and rock and visit in the evening (if we weren't at the beach). The bedrooms were very spacious and a b/r in every room was a big plus. The kitchen was a dream one and with 3 babies the laundry room got a workout. So thankful for the laundry room in the house. Loved the closeness to the beach and the downtown area. The owner was very helpful in telling me not only where to rent cribs etc but also added a crib to the property. He was very good to work with and I enjoyed the emails I had with him and getting to know him through email. I feel like a new friend has been made. I would highly recommend this place and would love to go there again myself. The weather was perfect for the middle of April. Thank you so much.

We had 14 people take a trip together and we all absolutely loved the house, the location, and the owners were incredible to work with!! Would highly recommend this home to any large group or family!

We had an entire wedding party stay at this house and walked right across the street to our own private beach and got married. It couldn't have been more perfect. The stuff that dreams are made of!!!!!! Great location to everything. You really don't even need a car. Just take a shuttle from the airport and you can walk or ride your bike to everything else you need.

An amazing home! Truly just steps from the beach. Great location!!!! This home is so roomy and accomodating. The kitchen is to die for. There were 15 people in our gorup this year and there was more than enough room for all of us. The upstairs was perfect for our 4 year old and his paents, the middle floor worked great for the grandparents and downstairs was excellent for the 20-50 year olds that like to play games & be a little louder. We brought our corn hole game & played by the pool. We also rented bikes for the week. So much fun packed into 1 week! We'd love to return to Drake's Beach House very soon.

We had four generations totaling 13 people staying for a week in September. Wonderful house, great location, all good things. We ate in most of the time simply because he house was so nice and the kitchen was so nice to work in. We didn't even use one of the bedrooms. Would recommend highly to anyone looking for a great place to spend some time with a large group.

Friends and I rented this house for a relaxing vacation in early May of 2007. This website does not do this house justice. There is more space than you can ever imagine, and it is just absolutely beautiful, inside and out. It is also the perfect location- a short 5 minute walk to Coligny Plaza, and only a couple hundred of feet from the beach. The pool is also great, and the hot tub is a great size as well. The kitchen is big enough to cook a Thanksgiving dinner for 30, and the living area is enormous. If only this house could be built in every nice vacation spot! I look forward to returning in the future.

We stayed at this House last August. We have been going to Hilton Head for 20 plus years and I have to say this was the best house that we ever had. It is really beautiful and spacious. We had 14 people in the house and you would never know it. The location was perfect. I would definitely rent this house again.

23 Dove Street is a great location and this house is truly magnificent. We had a large family get together at HH and this location was perfect. Don't let the 2nd row deceive you - the beach is literally steps away. Probably just 50 steps more than the ocean front house in front of this one. Even the older kids could do the walk without a problem. The living rooms are large and comfortable. As is the kitchen on the second floor - more than ample space for all your needs. Fridge is quite large but a few trips to the grocery store will be required. Bedrooms are VERY spacious. Web site is unclear on the room-to-floor and bed layout but there is ample room. Ground floor has 3 BDRM - 2 with king beds and 1 with two doubles or queens (I think the latter). All have attached baths - normal size. Kitchen downstairs is more like a bar with a wine cooler and fridge (no cooking). First floor (main) has the living room, DR, Kit., and two bedrooms - one huge master bdrm with one king bed and an extra-large closet and bath. Other room has hardwood floors with one king bed and balcony. Third floor has one extra-extra LARGE room with a queen and two twins plus attached bath. Almost all rooms have TVs - some with DVD players. LR has large TV/DVD/CD-Stereo system and some games. Pool is very nice - not extremely large but sufficient - kids had a blast in it. Outside shower is available for washing off sand from the beach. Beach chairs, pool lounge chairs and some noodles/floats are also available. A gas grill is a nicety for a quick BBQ lunch. (Our dinners were usually at one of MANY restaurants available on HH). Parking space is limited to 4 cars (2 in garage, 2 in drvwy) altho 3 can be squeezed into the drvwy. (No parking is allowed on the street). Overall, we all had a blast of a time at HH and this house made the stayed very enjoyable. Location is perfect since most restaurants are close by - -even walking distance. As are grocery stores, ice-cream shops, bicycle rentals. Water sports is 5 mins away on the other side of Pope Ave. Coligny Plaza is 3-5 min walk. Beach access is free (not used to that in NJ!!) and the beach is wonderful - can walk 50 feet into the water even in low tide and still be standing waist deep. A return trip is highly desired! Enjoy.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this house. The location is absolutely fantastic in terms of its proximity to the beach. The house is so big and the bedrooms are so huge that we did not feel crowded or cramped in the house and 16 people can definitely sleep very very comfortably in the house. We loved it so much that we are thinking of renting it again next year.

Enjoyed Drake's Beach House completly-the children particulaly liked the pool and beach. Activities included shopping at Coligny Square,bike riding,miniture golf and a boat cruise to see the dolphins and fireworks. Also went on a kayak/nature trip. Our favorite restaurant was The Old Oyster Factory.
