Beautiful modern cabin in gated community with spectacular view of 80-foot waterfall right outside the windows. Great place to go hiking or 4-wheel ATV riding on miles of trails over hundreds of wooded acres of land. Leave the mountain, and ski at nearby ski resorts. During the day, see white-tail deer and wild turkeys. At night, view the stars and the Milky Way! A common-area pavilion provides a fishing lake and fire pit for barbeques. The rental property provides a fire pit, picnic table and small creek.

Located near all the following: historical Wilkesboro - home of the Merlefest music festival, birthplace of NASCAR and Jimmie Johnson, and the legend of Tom Dooley; access to the Blue Ridge Parkway; Grandfather Mountain; the towns of Boone (Appalachian State University), Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis, and Banner Elk; Tweetsie Railroad for the kids; loads of antique shops; W. Kerr Scott Lake with boating and fishing facilities; Mt. Airy, hometown of Mayberry, Andy Taylor, and Barney Fife; four ski resorts, including Appalachian Swiss, Sugar Mountain, and Beech Mountain; and various horseback riding facilities.

The master bedroom has a queen bed and master bathroom. A second bedroom has a double bed and full bathroom. The loft has two twin beds, and lots of floor space in case the kids want to sleep in sleeping bags instead of beds. Bed linens, pillows and towels are provided, but you might want to bring additional towels, pillows, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave oven, coffee maker, dishwasher, and toaster. Dishes, silverwear, utensils, glasses, and cooking pans are also included.
