The place is exactly as showed on VRBO photos: clean, roomy, welcoming and family-oriented (i.e. ping pong, pool table, board games etc). Big selling points to us were: location (2 minute walk to the beach), all the beach stuff already there (chairs, umbrellas, fishing poles, etc), the kayak, the bikes and the dock on intercoastal waterway. We were also able to go do some deep sea fishing with a chartered boat that picked us at the dock. The big garage was convenient as well. Perfect vacation and thanks for making your townhome available.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

The Perfect Getaway!

I can't think of a better place to have spent a "special" family vacation! Your lovely townhome is the perfect get-away from a stressful world! As soon as we entered the front door, we sensed an air of joy, well being and happiness! All the bright colors and tasteful decor seemed to say "Let's celebrate Life and being together!" A place where only "fun" memories are allowed! We enjoyed watching the sea gulls soar and pelicans glide above the water before their comical, ungraceful "SPLASH" landings in the marina bay. An Osprey perched on highest point near the dock, as we enjoyed our evenings watching the sunset with a glass of wine, and listening to the peaceful sound of the church bell tolling across the water way. What a view! It was amazing, and we could not have been more pleased with our stay! The kitchen was great, and well stocked with condiments. The bedroom accommodations were excellent, and the master suite was exceptional! All even better than what the pictures can show. There was a variety of books, games, video's, pool table, bicycles, ping pong, fishing equipment, and even a wind surfer. Our 2 teenagers were never bored! This is an ideal location in a quiet, safe neighborhood, yet close enough to easily bike to the restaurants and quaint shops of John's Pass or the well maintained public beach. We did not have the pleasure of meeting Laurie and Greg in person, although we hope to have that opportunity on a future stay. We so greatly appreciate the warmth of their hospitality and Laurie's gift of creating such a FANTABULOUS home! This was a place we truly felt totally relaxed, and uplifted. For me, it was a place of renewal, as I enjoyed the peacefulness and quiet serenity that left us with wonderful memories we will never forget!

a real treasure

its rare in life you have a vision of a perfect scenario and the end result turns out even better. that was the case of our stay in Madeira Beach and my encounter with the owner. i had searched for days to find the perfect accomodations for my family to all come together from NJ, Illinois, and Iowa to celebrate my daughters graduation from nursing school at South University in Tampa when i had almost given up i then came across VRBO #215413 and SCORE. an awesome home on a little marina in an amazing neighborhood with so much to offer. my favorite things...the church bells, afternoon naps on the balcony, playing ping pong in the garage, biking to Johns Pass, and cooking & laughing and cooking & laughing some more in the HUGE kitchen/ breakfast bar area.

We have had a wonderful time! The parks and playgrounds, excavating dinosaur eggs, reading books, Aunt Heathers wedding and more. Thank you so much for allowing us to be so close to them and making it possible for everyone to sleep in a bed. We greatly appreciate your generosity.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your home. We've never done this before and we weren't sure what to expect. WOW! This truly was a vacation for us. If we decide to head this way again we'll definitely call you. My 18 year old son said it was his favorite time spent in Madeira. We're a little sun-burned, but we've got enough sun/sand to head back to Indiana. Go Purdue!

Our stay was very relaxing with a couple of very sunny and warm days that we spent on the dock. We walked to Johns Pass nearly every day, taking time for ice cream at the Candy Kitchen. Your home is very welcoming and the beds are comfortable. Thank you so much for your hospitality and your patience in answering my many question before our arrival. We will definitely recommend you to our family and friends in Wisconsin, Thanks again.

Hi Laurie, Thank you for the use of your beautiful summer home. After searching the web for 6 months I hit on your site and lucked out! The weather did not cooperate but the time was relaxing. There are 2 restaurants I would recommend, both on Seminole Blvd. Mamas Kitchen and Widow Browns which is 5 mi further on left. My mama has created a token of Love, hanging in your closet upstairs. Please enjoy.

Your home was a perfect gathering plce for our family. It really meant a lot to all our family being so close to each other. Everytime I walked through I saw new pictures or beautiful beach accessories. I even took home some starfish to use like in your bathroom. Dear Mr and Mrs Stemm, we really enjoyed our stay here at this wonderful spacious vacation home with many amenities. We did many exciting things such as playing pool, fishing on the dock and most of all we enjoyed relaxing in the sun at the beach. We got time to do some of our homework on the 2 cold days and Easter Sunday was wonderful especially because it was right across the bay within eyes view.
